I’m sharing the best tips I found for getting organized and my picks for the best products designed to hold and display your earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings!

How to Organize Your Jewelry

Alright, gurls. It’s time to tackle the tangled mess living in your jewelry box! First off, let’s talk about sorting. Lay out all your jewelry on a clean surface and group similar items together. This makes it easier to see what you have and prevents you from accidentally doubling up on, say, three identical pairs of hoop earrings (guilty!). Clean anything that’s tarnished, and get rid of anything that’s damaged or that you don’t wear often.

Now, onto storage solutions. If you’re short on space, consider wall-mounted jewelry organizers or hanging organizers. These are perfect for keeping your pieces out of sight but within easy reach. For those blessed with ample dresser space, jewelry trays or compartmentalized organizers are my favorite way to store my jewelry. They keep everything separated so you grab exactly what you need on your way out of the door.

Some of the easiest organizing solutions are hooks! You can stick a few adhesive hooks inside your closet or on a blank wall to organize your necklaces. For those who are looking for a budget-friendly way to organize their jewelry, you can get crafty with repurposed items like ice cube trays or egg cartons to store small earrings and rings.

Finally, make it a habit to tidy up your jewelry stash regularly. Spend a few minutes every week returning misplaced items to their rightful spots. Trust me, your future self will thank you when you’re not frantically searching for that missing earring minutes before a big night out. With a little bit of organization and a whole lot of patience, you’ll have your jewelry collection sparkling and sorted in no time!

Best Products For Organizing Your Jewelry

Jewelry Box

Large Antique Brass Jewelry Box in White Lacquer

If you love your jewelry boxes on display, then you’re going to love these from Kendra Scott. The Large Antique Brass Jewelry Box in White Lacquer was the first jewelry chest I bought from Kendra Scott. I bought it as a Christmas gift for myself, and then I was hooked. It looks beautiful sitting on my dresser and even nicer when I straighten it up. Lol!

The Tall Antique Brass Jewelry Box in White Lacquer is tall and slender, with six drawers to hold earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. I love these jewelry boxes, and they even look gorgeous when overstuffed with jewelry. Lol!

 Jewelry Box with Glass Lid

I’ve had this jewelry box for several years, and it’s such a great little organizer for the price! I use this a lot when I’m going on photo shoots and need a lot of different jewelry pieces. It has so much room for lots of goodies, and it’s great quality.

Jewelry Tray

Set of 4 Stackable Jewelry Organizer Trays

I have a vintage print setter cabinet. It has a ton of drawers, and each drawer has lots of tiny slots. I doctored the slots and made some large enough for bracelets and necklaces. If you don’t happen to have a vintage print setter cabinet, try a spare drawer in your dresser or closet. I highly recommend jewelry trays since they hold a lot of items all in one area! They’re a great way to organize your jewelry so you can see exactly what you’re working with when you’re getting dressed every day.

Ring Dish

Ring Dish

Do you take your rings off before bed, doing the dishes, or showering? If you do, having little ring dishes around (like on your nightstand or beside the kitchen sink) is a great way to make sure your ring is safe and doesn’t get misplaced!

Best Jewelry Stand

Four-Tier Jewelry Tree Stand

At first, I thought this jewelry stand would be best suited for necklaces and bracelets, but it actually has slots for earrings in the bottom tier! You could even slide your scrunchies, hair ties, or headbands on there.

I have a couple of similar ones from Kendra Scott that I love, but these are more affordable. I have the Small and Large T-Bar Jewelry Stand in Antique Brass, and you can see them in the first couple of photos I shared.

Hanging Jewelry Organizer

Hanging Jewelry Organizer

If you’re working with limited space to store your jewelry, this $20 organizer is the best bang for your buck! You could hang it from the back of a closet door, or you could even hang it on your closet rod amongst your clothes. I love, love, love that it has individual compartments for each piece so that nothing is getting stuck together, and you aren’t on a mad dash to find a matching earring.

Travel Jewelry Organizer

What do you currently do to store your jewelry for a trip? Let me know in the comments! I love little compact jewelry cases like this that I can put in my weekend bag or carry-on bag. It’s the perfect size for holding enough jewelry for several days!

Here’s another option for a travel jewelry organizer! This one is a little larger and could easily hold an entire week’s worth of accessories. This would be a great gift for the jet setter in your life that’s always traveling for work or play!

Jewelry Organizer Stand

I think this Jewelry Organizer Stand would be a great way to display your most worn pieces right on your makeup table or dresser. It even has enough room to add your perfume or everyday lipstick on the bottom tray.

Wall Mounted Jewelry Organizer

Lockable Jewelry Cabinet Armoire with Mirror

This wall-mounted jewelry cabinet reminds me of a medicine cabinet, except the contents are a lot more fun, LOL. Instead of toothpaste and Aspirin, you have pearls and diamonds! It also comes in a pretty wood tone, and you can lock it for extra security. I have a version in my office that hangs on the back of a door, and it holds a lot of jewelry.

I thought this wall mounted jewelry organizer would be a great solution for those of you that don’t have extra drawer or vanity space to display your jewelry. I was shocked to see it’s under $20!

Best Standing Jewelry Organizer

Freestanding Jewelry Armoire Cabinet

I thought this standing jewelry armoire was so neat! Not only does it have sooo much storage space inside, but it also doubles as a full-length mirror. It would be a great addition to a walk-in closet or a bedroom! Plus, it has a lock, so you can keep the grandbabies from playing dress-up with your good jewelry.

The Container Store carries a line called Stackers. You can buy as many or as few pieces as you want/need. I have two sets: one for silver and one for gold jewelry.

    1. I’m going to look into that for the jewelry I take with me on a photo shoot.

the over the door jewelry organizer is just what I need. I ordered one and am looking forward to using it!

  11. Thanks for this post. I really like the Kendra Scott jewelry box. I already have a hanging jewelry organizer in the form of a dress. I have a jewelry box from QVC that was a gift to me that is supposed to keep your silver tarnish free. So far it has. That’s one reason I’m afraid to try a new one. I have always wanted it standing jewelry armoire with a mirror. Maybe that’s a future present for me. I did laugh out loud when I saw all your jewelry.

  12. SUCH a good post! I struggled forever with how to organize my jewelry. And I’m one of those out of sight / out of mind type gals when it comes to accessories. I will only wear what I can see. Eventually I settled on a couple trays and then inherited my mom’s old jewelry box. That seems to work, but I like some of the other options you have posted here! Hmmmm…

  13. Really great, post! Love that mirror/jewelry organizer!

  14. I just ordered a rotating earring holder for all my earrings! Now maybe I can get them all together in one place instead of lying “willy-nilly” all over the dresser!!

    1. Lol! I know what you mean.

  15. I just ordered the small travel case in grass green! (My favorite color) My jewelry is always a mess when I travel. This is going to be a game changer! Thanks!

  16. I have one similar to the bag smart for travel. I like it because it lies flat so doesn’t seem to take up as much space as a cube. I also use the hanging bag compartment ones on my closet rod that are double sided. I use one for my better brands (Kendra, James Avery, Brighton etc) and the other one for junk jewelry lol. My good stuff is in an old fashioned jewelry box. I have a ring dish that my mother’s that I use to store my wedding set when I’m not wearing it. Thanks for the post. I hope Tom survives the family visit. 😉

  17. Thank you for including the travel cases

  18. Oh my!!! You really DO love your jewelry Tania. I have a tall piece that matches my bedroom set that works well for me. I keep my better and more expensive pieces in a safe.

  19. I wish someone would come organize my jewelry!

  20. Love the jewelry organizing stand! I have a tall wooden jewelry stand and I love the Kendra Scott one so much better! So pretty!! I have added a few to my cart, though! Thank you!!

  22. Carole from Canada says:

Wow great ideas. Thank you !!

  23. Susan Hughes says:

I just decluttered most of my jewelry. I was holding on to so much that was not getting worn. I donated it all so someone else could enjoy it. The Bagsmart items from Amazon are so good in my opinion. I do not have the jewelry cases but I have others by this brand.

  24. Would love to see your printers cabinet!

    1. I have a picture of it somewhere, I’ll have to look for it. Right now, it is still at my house in Grundy, and it contains all my vintage jewelry.
