Best Leg Makeup to Cover Bruises and Veins
Let’s be honest—sometimes our legs tell a story we’d rather keep to ourselves. Whether it’s a surprise bruise, visible veins, or just a bit of uneven skin tone, having a little extra coverage can go a long way in helping us feel confident. That’s why I’m sharing the Best Leg Makeup to Cover Bruises and Veins. These products are great for smoothing, concealing, and giving your legs that polished, airbrushed look, without looking heavy or fake. Whether you’re headed to a wedding, brunch, or just want to wear those cute shorts without worry, I’ve got you covered (literally!).
These products are different than self-tanners. These are similar to makeup we put on our faces, only thicker and maybe water-resistant. Tanners “grab” onto our sunspots (which are rough patches), and can make those appear even darker. Leg makeup doesn’t do that, so those spots won’t appear darker. However, to get full coverage, you might have to apply more than one coat.
Dermaflage Full Coverage Concealer Cream
This is a true lifesaver for covering everything from bruises and spider veins to scars and tattoos. It’s a waterproof formula, so it won’t crack or cake—perfect for long days or events. It comes in eleven shades, and you even get a free exchange if the first one isn’t quite right for your skin tone. It blends easily with a sponge or brush, offering full coverage without looking heavy. A great pick for all skin types, especially mature skin that needs a little extra TLC.
Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs – Leg Makeup Lotion
This drugstore favorite is a go-to for good reason. It gives your legs that smooth, airbrushed finish and is great for minimizing the look of veins and discoloration. It’s water-resistant, transfer-proof, and super easy to apply with your hands or a sponge. You’ll love how lightweight it feels, and it stays put all day, even in the heat. Perfect for casual days or dressier events when you want your legs to look polished.
Ribvvii Tattoo and Scar Concealer
Talk about serious coverage! This waterproof concealer was designed for tattoos, but it works just as well on bruises, age spots, and stretch marks. It sets quickly and doesn’t smudge or transfer once dry. The formula is long-wearing and works great for both small touch-ups and larger areas. A little goes a long way, and it blends out beautifully with a brush or sponge.
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
This one’s a favorite of makeup artists and for good reason. It’s lightweight but buildable, giving you natural-looking coverage that can handle heat, humidity, and long hours. It blends like a dream and comes in a wide range of shades to suit all skin tones. Great for legs when you want a soft, luminous look without feeling like you’ve caked on a ton of makeup. Use with a setting powder for even longer wear.
Estée Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Foundation
If you’re looking for serious full coverage that also offers SPF protection, this is your match. It covers everything—bruises, veins, scars, even tattoos—with a matte finish that won’t budge. It’s long-wearing (up to 24 hours) and great for mature or uneven skin. The formula is creamy but not greasy, and it blends best with a sponge for smooth, seamless coverage.
MAC Studio Radiance Face and Body Foundation
This is one of the best sheer options if you’re looking to even out skin tone without covering everything completely. It gives a radiant glow and is super lightweight—perfect for daytime wear or when you want a more natural finish. It’s waterproof, buildable, and works well on dry skin thanks to the hydrating formula. Think of it like your favorite BB cream, but for your legs. Come in a TON of shades, so finding one to match your skin tone should be easy.
Vita Liberata Body Blur
This one gives your legs a little bit of bronzed glow while blurring imperfections like veins and bruises. It’s part body makeup, part skin perfector, and it’s super blendable. The finish is radiant but not glittery—just enough to make your legs look healthy and smooth. It’s easy to apply and great for events where you want a little extra polish.
Mehron CreamBlend Stick Foundation
This pro-level stick makeup gives amazing full coverage for bruises, tattoos, and age spots. It’s infused with vitamin E and aloe vera, so it’s comfortable to wear and good for your skin too. The cream formula blends beautifully with a sponge or brush and is buildable without looking cakey. It’s ideal for precise application or large areas, and it stays put once set.
Revlon ColorStay Full Cover Foundation
Another great budget-friendly option that delivers long wear and solid coverage. This one is heat- and sweat-resistant and works well for covering veins and redness. It dries to a natural matte finish and stays put for hours, even in humid conditions. It’s easy to blend and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, which makes it a great daily go-to for your legs.

“‘The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

🙂 interesting options-not sure which I would try.

I would be worried that it would come off on my clothes like face make up does. I didn’t read anything about it not rubbing off. Interesting idea tho.
🙂 I’ve used the sally hanson before. Good stuff.
Thank you for posting this I have wanted to use leg make up but could not decide which to buy.
🙂 I use OPI Funny Bunny.
🙂 I like reading about thoughts on full coverage makeup. I use very little simply because I don’t know the best to use….going to have to give this a try!
😄. Never thought about wearing leg makeup but I guess it makes sense!
🙂 Great to have this post just in case!
Found it 🙂 I use Laura Geller or a CC cream for coverage, but these products are probably great alternatives.
I will have to try sometime. 😊
🙂
I’ve never tried these yet but need to soon, my spider veins get worse every year.

😋I have a scar on my lower left leg and never thought of concealer. This is good information. Thanks.
😊 Good information.
😊. Interesting products
West more Beauty is the best. It may cost a little more but it is worth it. Sally Hansen is messy to apply.
I just bought Westmore Beauty, and I can’t wait to try it.
🙂 Thanks for the recommendations!
🙂 I always use self tanner in the summer months but now I’m thinking I should give one of these a try since the self tanner makes my dark spots darker.
The only way I’ll wear a dress in summer is if I use leg makeup. Sunless tanners only emphasize the dark spots and veins even more. Last summer I tried a brand I got on Amazon called Goerti. It worked pretty weel but a little orangey. Stayed on good and I had to really scrub to get it off. Have you personally tried any of these brands in this post and which is your favorite? Thanks for addressing this issue!
I have Westmore Beauty on order to try out. I want to see how long the coverage lasts, if it really covers flaws, and which is like best; tanners or makeup.
😀 been wondering how the Westmore body makeup worked! I have white sunspots on my shins & would like to find something to work better than self tanner. Please review it if you can!
I’m checking it out, and will update everyone.
🙂 Found it
🙂 interesting information
🙂 Thanks for the information.
😀 nice selection.
😀. I’ve used the Sally Hansen product for years. It’s easy to use and looks great.
🙂 I think I like self tanner lotion better.
😊Will have to try one of these products on my spider veins. Thanx for sharing!
🙂 found it. This would be a good solution for my legs since I’m very fair and I bruise so easily.
😊I know I am too lazy to put leg makeup on but enjoyed seeing them!
🤣
Found it!
🙂 I wear very little facial makeup so not so sure about leg makeup. Although it would definitely be beneficial me!! I love reading your post every day!!
Found it!
😊Thanks for giving us so many possibilities
🙂 I try to not be vain about my veins. Self tanner works well enough for me. Tried leg makeup once for a wedding. The application was tedious and I was more self conscious of the makeup melting than I would have been about the veins 😅
I’ve always done self tanners, but I’m going to try the leg makeup to see which works the best for me.
😀 An interesting topic. That I haven’t considered needing or using. I think I’ll give Estée Lauder a try.
🙂 thank you for the info!
found it
