Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing an ivory cable knit sweaterI might have been a little mean yesterday to Joe. It wasn’t planned, but it was still mean, and pretty funny from my point of view. From his point of view, it was not near as funny, and he looked pretty ill. Lol! He told me that I “had” to put this story on the blog, or HE was going to put it on there himself. I think that he thinks you all will take up for him and fuss at me for my actions. I told him that we would see about that. So, here we go…
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing an ivory cable knit sweater with a leopard print shirtMy daughter-in-law was helping with a Teacher appreciation dinner/bingo party, and my son was busy still at work, so he asked me if I would walk over and keep the kids until he got home. No problem, I took a couple of presents, and a 4 ft. tree over, and we put together the tree and decorated it. Then, Emersyn wrapped the gifts that I had brought over for her and Beckham to give to their parents. We had a great time, and when my son came home for the night, I walked back home. Joe had just gotten home himself when I walked in the door and was telling me about his day. I had cooked a pot roast earlier in the day, so I walked out into the utility room (that is where the freezer is) to get a pack of rolls for supper.

As I walked back into the kitchen, Joe was taking off his sweatshirt, and he was struggling to keep his undershirt on while taking off the sweatshirt. I walked over to help him pull the undershirt back down, and that is when the mean streak in me kicked in. While he had his hands tied up in the sweatshirt, I put the cold freezer roll up against his side, where the undershirt hadn’t been pulled down yet. LOL! The look on his face, not to mention all of the foul words that came out of his mouth, was too funny. I was quick to move out of range because I knew that if he could get a hold of me that I was in big trouble. I know that I should have felt guilty, but I couldn’t quit laughing long enough for guilt to kick in. Hahaha! I know that he will eventually get revenge, but for now, I am the Queen of Mean. LOL!!!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing an ivory cable knit sweater with a leopard print shirt and brown pantsI have worn several dressier outfits in the past week, so I thought that a casual weekend look was in order. All of the items that I am wearing are things that I have already styled, but today I am putting them together in a different look. The beautiful cable knit sweater is one that I bought at Target, and here is where I styled it with jeans earlier. This look is a little different, a tad bit dressier, but still falling onto the casual side. The big chunky cable knit design is so soft and comfortable that you will want to wear it over and over again. I love the deep v-neck because I can add another shirt under the sweater for added color. I am wearing a medium in this sweater, and it is still roomy and oversized. (that is how it is supposed to be) Here is the link to this sweater, and I found a few more that you will like also.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing an ivory cable knit sweater with brown pants and ankle boots am wearing an old pair of chunky heel ankle boots that I bought from Old Navy several years ago. I am ready to upgrade soon, and I am watching the sales for just the right pair. These have been great, but they are starting to show wear and some stains are on them. These are faux leather, and they have held up great for the price that I paid for them. I love this style of boot, especially with the chunky heel. For those who have problems wearing heels, the chunky heel in your best option.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing an ivory cable knit sweater with brown pants and a leopard print shirtThe leopard button-up shirt adds visual interest to this otherwise neutral outfit. The shirt is not a pop of color, but it is a pop of print. I think that by adding the shirt to the outfit that it upped the style factor 100 percent. Leopard print is stylish, and it is a classic print that is always appropriate to wear. The print might be more popular at times, but it is still a print that you can wear from now on. I bought this shirt last year from Chico’s, but it is no longer available on their website. Instead, here are some that are extremely similar. Here is where I wore the leopard print shirt with jeans, and you can get a much better idea of how the shirt would look without the sweater.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing an ivory cable knit sweater and brown corduroy pantsThe pants that I am wearing are a pair of dark brown corduroy pants from Kut From The Kloth. I have had these for over a year, and I still find myself reaching for them a lot. These are a bootcut style, so I wore boots under them. Lol! The bootcut leg is flattering for most people since it will balance out your body proportions better than the skinny leg will. But, the boot cut is tough to tuck down inside a knee boot, so both boots have their place in your wardrobe.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing an ivory cable knit sweater with brown corduroy pants and ankle bootiesI was thrilled that all of you were so receptive to the try-on haul that I posted yesterday. I got several private messages from ladies wanting to know if I kept everything that I order. The answer is NO WAY! For one, I don’t have room in my house to keep everything that I style. And, secondly, not everything ends up fitting me right. Plus, I want to make sure that the items that I do keep are things that I will wear again on the days that I am not taking photos. It is hard for me to restyle items for the blog because the items are sold out; today’s post is an example of that. I only order things that I like and that I would want to keep…and I keep waaaay too much. LOL! And, I wanted to remind everyone of the new feature in the Menu bar: Shop My Post. You can click on that and see the latest links, or use it as a search engine to look back at previous outfits.

Someone mentioned in a comment yesterday that they missed me not posting as much about the skincare that I use. I love my skincare, I use my skincare, and I could talk to you for hours about the skincare.
