WHAT ANIMAL PRINTS ARE IN STYLE FOR FALL 2022
Trying to navigate fashion is like a game of darts. Sometimes you get a bullseye, and other times you are completely off the board. My post today is to try and help you know what animal prints are in style for fall 2022.
Animal Prints and Fashion
Animal prints and fashion go hand in hand. There always seems to be an animal print or two trending each year. Leopard print is a classic, and it’s been trending for YEARS! But is it still hot, or has it lost some of its appeal?
The Animal Prints That Are Trending for 2022
The biggest animal prints trend for 2022 is Zebra and Tiger. I tend to think of Zebra animal prints as being black and white. However, when some Zebras are young, they can be brown, so that is why you see Zebra prints in both colors. Here are a few outfit inspirations using these prints.
I love letting my animal print shine. When I’m wearing an animal print, I like to wear it with black or another neutral. Wearing one piece, even if it is only a belt, goes a long way. This sweater is soft and looks gorgeous with black, but it will go with any color your choose. Animal prints are considered a neutral, so feel free to wear them with lots of different colors.
These jeans are slouch jeans, which means they are going to be loose. If you like a loose fit, then order your regular size. You can size down if you want a slimmer silhouette. I’m wearing a size 8, which is my usual size.
This look is bolder, and it puts the animal print front and center! This Travelers dress is a showstopper, and you will be noticed wherever you go. The dress is stretchy, so if you have curves, it will look gorgeous on you. I’m built like a ruler and not chesty, so it isn’t the best look for me. I probably need to break it up with a belt to help create curves or wear it with a cardigan or blazer.
Animal Prints for Fall 2022 Using Accessories
Zebra and Tiger animal prints are the favorite child of fashion at the moment, but that doesn’t mean they don’t still love their other children. As you noticed in my photo with some (yes, I have a bunch more) of my animal print shoes, I’m not ditching any of them.
Are Snakeskin Animal Prints Still Fashionable for 2022
I recently purchased this snakeprint crossbody bag that has animal prints on the sides. This print is subtle since the entire bag is not snakeskin. I liked this crossbody because it is versatile, the other side is black, so you can wear this with lots of clothing. Here are a couple of other suggestions for incorporating this fun print into your wardrobe.
Are Cow Animal Prints Still Fashionable for 2022
I love cow print, but I usually add it to my look with accessories. This clutch is several years old, and I still love carrying it. I’m in Nashville right now, and it made the trip with me. Here are some cow print accessories that you might like:
Are Leopard and Cheetah Animal Prints Still Fashionable for 2022
This is the most asked question about animal prints. Leopard and Cheetah prints have been the hottest print for so many years that they were starting to become stale. BUT, both prints are still fashionable, so don’t ditch them just yet. Am I scaling back on them a little? Yes, but I’m still wearing them occasionally and will continue to do so. Leopard and Cheetah animal prints are classics that will never truly go out of style. Some classics will always look fashionable, even if they aren’t the hot trend of the moment.
How Can You Tell When Clothing Is Still Fashionable
You can easily tell when something is still fashionable and okay to wear. Go to the stores. Retailers spend a ton of money on clothing, and they won’t be stocking their shelves with outdated clothing. If you find a store that stocks outdated clothing, you need to find another retailer. Because of the issue with inventory and shipping the past few years, there can be some stock on the shelves that were meant for last year, but that doesn’t mean it is totally out of style. I found three infinity scarves on Nordstrom, but take it from me; infinity scarves are NOT what you want to be wearing to look modern and fashionable.

Very informative post. (Thank you!) Favourite prints of mine are leopard and zebra for garments and snakeskin for accessories. As to the subject of infinity scarves; realizing they have been declared ‘outdated’ I actually like them due to their versatility as can also be used as an emergency hood to protect one’s hair from the elements. i.e.: Wind/rain/snow.

Great post, Can you post a pic of the brown zebra print sweater so we can see how long it actually is since the site doesn’t say either?
In added a photo so you can see the length in the back.
Love the prints! Dress is awesome and the accessories are very nice.
Great post!! Thanks for the info as I do love animal prints!
Love them all regardless of current trends! The “cow” print is fresh and fun!
Good to know all of this. I am a huge fan of leopard and snakeskin print. I have so many items with those. I love the crossbody bag with the leopard trim and black on one side and tan on the other. Too bad it’s so small. I need a larger bag. It’s super cute!!
Great post on animal prints and you look fabulous in all of them! I am wondering about vegan leather look jackets. I have read that they are often a polyurethane blend and non biodegradable. For that reason I will stick with real leather. Loved your post yesterday and shred it with my husband. The story about Joseph was a good reminder.
I think you look great on the Traveler’s dress! I have a lot of animal print and was beginning to feel it was “dated”, thanks for the updated looks!
Tania, great post! I love leopard print!
great post on animal prints!
This was such a fun post, Tania! You look gorgeous in the outfits. I currently have a zebra print belt and slide sandals. It’s gotten too chilly here in upstate NY to wear the sandals, but I can’t wait for summer’23! Enjoy your time with your fellow bloggers!
This was such a fun post, Tania. It really helped me put some things into perspective. You look gorgeous in your outfits! I’m a bit more shy when it comes to animal prints but I do have a zebra print belt and zebra print slide sandals. I adore them both, though it’s gotten too chilly here in upstate NY for the sandals. Can’t wait for summer ‘23 to wear them again!
you look gorgeous in all those outfits..
Have a great time in Nashville with Jo-Lynne, Cyndi, and whoever else is there! I really appreciate this post because I have been wondering which animal print works now and which will date me. I have a snakeskin print handbag that is in my closet. I will pay close attention to the outfit I wear when using it.
Ginger, we are already having a blast. Even though we rarely see each other in person, it’s like we’ve known each other for years. Blogging can be lonely, so it is so nice to get together occasionally and connect.
I love the shoes on your table with the hydrangeas. I might have missed a link, but I love the far left snake skin print. Where do you buy G.I.I.I. shoes? I’m not familiar with that brand. Thank you!
Those shoes are about 6 years old, but you can buy that brand on QVC.
What are your thoughts on camouflage? It was hit a few seasons ago but I haven’t seen much of it recently.
Tonya, I’m still seeing a few pieces of camouflage in stores, but it isn’t a print I would purchase now. It has had its moment and has been relegated to the back of the pack. If you love your camo, keep it. Wear it at home and enjoy it.
