And So On, And So On
If my post doesn’t make sense today, it is because I had a woman’s club meeting last night and it lasted longer than I had expected. I am a huge (not in girth, but in enthusiasm) member of GFWC. For those of you that don’t know, GFWC stands for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. At our local level, we support the abuse shelter, the nursing home, the library, CASA, Back Pack Blessings, Relay forLife, and we give out 4 scholarships to colleges in our area. If you might be interested in joining a club in your area, but don’t know about one, email me and I will find one for you.
I feel a little like Scar from the Lion King in this outfit. Just in case you do not have children or grandchildren, Scar is a lion who has a black mane. Haha All day long I felt like roaring. I bought this scarf, and a couple more in different colors, last year at Target. Here is one that is similar, but a little nicer than the one I have.
I have on my reversible pearl earrings from Cato’s, with the small side showing today. I thought this side was rhinestones, but it is a cluster of small pearls instead. I like the pearls ever better. I bought this dress/tunic from a boutique at the craft fair in November. I was running my hand along the clothing as I was looking, and the feel of this is what made me stop. It feels heavenly, so soft. I found it on ebay, and they called it cashmere feeling.
I have on a couple of silver bracelets, and one that is vintage with cute stone details. I have misplaced some of my jewelry, which is nothing new for me. The last time I traveled, I forgot to unpack the jewelry. The problem is, I don’t remember where I have placed it. You may see a lot of my jewelry over and over, till it eventually shows up. Lol!
I got out my red Dooney & Bourke purse. With everything being gray and black, I wanted to add at least a little color. I started to wear a red necklace, but decided instead to go with the red purse. This of course came from the QVC outlet, but you can always find good deals on ebay.
How do you like these leggings? I bought them at Old Navy last year, but I think this is only the 2nd time I have worn them. I liked the faux leather stripe down the leg, but they don’t look good with everything. Items with visual interest are some of my favorite things. Here is a similar pair. The booties are Marc Fisher, and even though I only bought them this year, I have worn them over and over. They are surprisingly comfortable for the size heel they have.
If you are younger, you might not remember this commercial since it came out in the 70’s.

Hi I am a student and I would like to create an IT blog, not to make money but to reach the largest audience. I thought about the platform called Medium.
Thankyou
Love your outfits. Thank you for sharing your class and style through this blog. Its important to me that I be a role model for my daughter and your blog is a great resource!
Love this scarf and your tunic! -Melissa
Yes, I will definitely spread the word “Scar” – haven’t thought about that movie since the boys were little boys, they are now mini men! #WorldStylelinkupparty

Sounds like a great group to be a part of I am a huge fan of black and grey and love the scarf with fringe, it looks very versatile. The booties rock! I like red too or another red family color to add to a neutral mix.

I love this outfit! That scarf makes it.
First time reader, found your blog via Mix Match Fashion link up post. Anyway, I have enjoyed reading.
Love this outfit on you skinny Minnie . As others said do not worry about your weight but I will say that I started back working out on Monday because I was inspired by you. I think it will be better to do this now instead of January 1, then it becomes a resolution instead of a lifestyle change. U go girl!
Thanks Debbie. I needed inspiration today, I seem to have eaten everything in sight. But, tomorrow is a fresh start.
So chic! love your style very much. I often buy different colors for a curtain thing too. 😉
Take care and keep in touch!

Thanks so much for the invite, Grace 🙂
I love the entire outfit – it’s just my style. I want those boots!
Grrrrrreat outfit!!! Love everything about this! I think I may have similar items and will try to put a look like this together tomorrow:)
Sounds fantastic Chelsea! I love it when all I have to do is look in my closet!
The black scarf looks really great so you can definitely wear black and with your blonde hair the scarf really makes a statement. I like that you are carrying the red Dooney so this didn’t just become boring monochromatic. It needed a punch of color. I ordered a red sweater from Macys that has a detachable fringed scarf. It was on sale and I am still waiting for it to arrive. I hope it’s a keeper. I hope you locate your jewelry but you must have quite a collection because it hasn’t been boring or ho hum. 🙂
Such a great outfits!! I, myself love tunics and black leggings their very forgiving as well as flattering on a curvy figure line my own. Thank you for sharing now for me to start buying lol!!!
Cute outfits! Love, love, love your blog! If you can tell from my email, I’m from way out west LOL 🙂 My daughter left us and went to college in North Carolina and I have been trying to up my style to some things we can have in common and BAM found you on pinterest!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! I look daily 🙂
So glad to have you join me, Carrie. We have something in common, my daughter left to go to college too. She is in Juneau, Alaska!!!
Love the outfit! I have seen other gals wear leggings like that. You’re right…they wouldn’t go with just anything. I do have a cotton cashmere tunic that I found at a thrift shop. Your grey one is perfect and the scarf just sets it off.
Ditto what Monica said about loving the pants and top! I would totally love that look and roaring all day.
I’m now up to 6 miles a day on my new bike! RAWR!!!
WOW! Diane you are a rockstar! 6 miles is awesome!!! RAWR right back attcha????
I love both your sense of style and your sense of humor!
I love this look!!! The ankle boots are fab! I love the heel on them- and they don’t look too high, but the “skinny” heel makes them look like it!
I love this look. Definitely a go-to favorite of mine. I am, however, lacking a fringe scarf but I do think that’s going to change. I think they’re so cute. I have a pair of leggings like that as well. I got them at Maurices late last season. I agree in that they don’t work with everything but I like them with a simple top/tunic. Yours is perfect. SO I will be also looking for a cashmere feeling tunic. 🙂
Oh I really love that top and those pants. Thanks for letting us virtually walk through your dreamy closet every day!
