Affordable, Elegant, Polished, and Chic Outfits From Walmart
I’ve had several messages from ladies looking for affordable outfits for holiday parties. One lady specifically asked for dresses since she has an office party to attend. I put together several outfits for you from Walmart that are affordable, elegant, polished, and chic.
When I look at this outfit, I see elegant, polished, and chic. I don’t “see” affordable; instead, it looks put together. Each item can be worn in multiple ways. The One Shoulder Sweater would look great with jeans or a pair of velour/velvet pants. The Ruffle Midi Skirt would look fabulous with a black turtleneck sweater and knee boots. I’ve already worn these ankle boots in many different ways this year, and the double-breasted coat can be worn with dresses and jeans. It is one of my favorite purchases from this post.
I love this outfit and am thrilled to see that it is also available in plus size. This look is pure sophistication, and you’ll look great at any event you attend. I would probably wear a pair of black tights or stockings with all of these dresses. My legs are ghostly white in the winter, so I try to keep them covered as much as possible. I found a 2-pack that I ordered, and I’ll share those below.
There are many other color combinations and prints to choose from here.
When I showed my husband this post, this was his favorite outfit. He loved the lace cut-out dress paired with the Fuschia embellished slingback pumps. The pop of color is CHIC looking and keeps this outfit from being too formal. If you’re worried about how to wear these heels differently, look at the outfit below
This casual outfit is perfect for a small get-together with friends. The embellished pumps add a touch of elegance that is perfect for the holidays. Can you see yourself wearing this affordable casual look?
I don’t know about you, but I don’t have a fancy party to attend this year. I’ll probably be dressed casually, so I wanted to show you another casual look. A black turtleneck and a pair of bootcut jeans create an easy go-to outfit for most of us. Adding a layered necklace and this cozy animal print wrap takes this look to the next level. It is still comfortable and casual, but now it looks put together. I love the color of the Faux-Suede Tote, and it will be one you can carry all year long.
I can’t wait to hear which outfit appeals to you the most. I’m torn between the red dress and the two casual looks. I have lots of casual looks but very few dressy outfits. I ordered the red dress since I can wear that for any special occasion.
Walmart makes it very convenient for its customers to shop, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes. You can also sign up for Walmart+, where you get Free Shipping with no order minimums (excludes most Marketplace items, location & freight surcharges) and Free Delivery (where available) with orders over $35. I take advantage of home delivery several times a week and love that small convenience.
Walmart sponsors this post, and I will receive compensation, but the opinions expressed are my own.

Great outfits from Walmart! They have really been stepping up with clothing selections. I’m glad you include them.
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃
Good Morning Tania,
I almost didn’t open up this post when I saw Walmart listed, but I am sure glad I did not go by my gut instinct. These clothes and shoes are simply divine, and the pricing is better yet! Thank you Tania for enlightening me to open up my clothes shopping horizon.
Best regards,
Pamela S.
Thank you for including budget friendly options! I love looking at all your outfits, but sometimes an item is more than my budget allows.
The black lace cut out dress is beautiful! Walmart has some great clothing, shoes, all sorts of things! Sometimes my local walmart is hit or miss, but I keep looking!
I’m more on the casual side of life, but loved all the outfits…esp the black lace dress. However, not sure where I would wear it!!
Thanks for these great looks from Walmart!
Loved loved loved the wrap with leopard print. Of course, they are OUT! I’ll keep checking back. That was really a cute outfit!
Beautiful outfits
I wish I had a fancy party to go to! I like the casual looks. The one-shouldered sweater looks cold!
Love these festive looks! Thank you
Love this. A lot of us over 50 can be on retirement budgets and we can’t always afford the high end clothes. I have been having some great luck with Liz Claiborne outfits at JC Penney’s, affordable with sales. I need those pink shoes!
Can’t believe all of these things are from WalMart! I’m loving the pink shoes and the purple bag! I’m more of a jeans gal though and actually own a couple of pairs of Time and Tru jeans. They’ve become favorites.
Love your blog!!
Hi, Tania from SC! Love your blog and your posts. Your husband and I are on the same page. That’s my favorite as well. Just wanted to let everyone know that those gorgeous pink heels by Scoop are also offered in flats! I just ordered mine! Possibly an option for the same look in a more comfy style if you don’t want to or can’t wear heels. Love the other outfits as well. So glad I found your blog!!!
Casual, polished and chic is the one for me! Love the wrap.
I never really shop at Walmart. I hate their stores!
I would like to see you modeling all of these outfits! The prices are great for styles that are so nice. My favorite is the plaid midi skirt, and it has the zipper for a better fit. I have a sparkly sweater in a beautiful greenish-teal that would look great with it. I think a lot of us really appreciate affordable, beautiful clothing like this, at any age. I’m 79 but will always be Interested in looking my best.
Such pretty outfits Tania! Thanks for also showing all of the coordinating pieces of clothing and accessories.
Thank you for helping us older chicks to dress stylishly🤗 I love how you put the outfits together.I always check you out on Pintrest before I dress and your inspirations dailey is what we need in a world that has grown so unfriendly💓🙏🏽How do you choose winners for your give aways???I would love to be a winner one day.Peace and love to you😇
Like your hubby, I like the black cut out dress best, but given my casual lifestyle, the jeans & turtleneck is probably what I’d wear … great tips on how to class it up a bit with boots & wrap!
I love this post. I like the opportunity to get dressed up but not spend a lot of money to do it 🙂 An unrelated thought … your new tagline “Stop by to see how I can still be fashionable, while living in a fashion void area.” comes across as a little negative, like you don’t like where you live. Everyone shops online or when they go to a larger city. Perhaps you want to rethink it.
my favorite dressy outfit is the black lace dress with the fuchsia pumps. what a great color.
I loved everything! Except I am short 5’1. Walmart’s doesn’t have petites. It’s always been hard to find clothes for my height.
I can’t believe these outfits are from Walmart. They look so high end. They have really upped their fashion game. Thanks for sharing
All very classy!
Casual jeans and turtleneck would be my first choice.
I can’t believe these are from WalMart. I love both off the shoulder tops and the cut out dress. If I could still wear very high heels I’d buy those pink ones.
Thank you for the post! I ordered quite a few things! Super excited- hopefully everything fits! Just what I needed at a great price- thank you for the post!!
Wow I’m impressed Walmart! My favorite is the Polished & Chic red dress but realistically I would wear the Casual Polished & Chic 🙂.
Lots of great looks here! I love the black lace dress and all the earrings.
Love all these outfits! Thanks to finding your blog my wardrobe has gotten a much need update! Thank you!!!
Thank you, Tania, for showing some beautiful, affordable holiday outfits! My lifestyle is very casual and when I have a more formal event to attend, I really don’t want to spend a fortune!
Tania, all of your outfit suggestions are on point as usual.
I love the lace cut out dress! I’m also getting the turtleneck (probably in several colors), jeans and accessories. I’ve found that Time and Tru garments from Walmart are actually very good quality and fit.
Thank you for the inspirations
Love all the outfits you showed us. I was just sitting here wondering about the black dress with the lace. I don’t wear heels any more. This is one reason I don’t wear dresses. What’s your ideas for women who want to wear a special dress but do not like them with flats? My answer has always been wear dressy pants but it would be nice to wear a dress once in awhile. Appreciate your ideas! Thank you❣️
Love these selections!
The lace cutout dress is so dressy & cute. I absolutely love it.
Hi Tania – love the last casual look. No fancy parties for me either.
I turned 65 this year and I’m struggling with styles of clothes to wear. I don’t feel old yet but I know I can’t wear a lot of younger styles. I’m usually a size 10 but have been struggling with weight lately especially around the middle. Thanks for posting ideas to help those of us who struggle with this problem !
I love the black lace cut-out dress. So glad you showed an affordable outfit.
All the looks are beautiful, but the dressy/casual look with the black turtleneck is the one I would wear. I love those booties!!
I always enjoy your fun loving spirit. It brightens my day. Love looking at all your inspirational outfits and hearing about your family. Thank you for these ideas!
I’m with Joe, I love the black lace cutout dress. But I have no place to wear something so dressy. So I’d actually go with the black turtleneck and jeans.
I absolutely love the first outfit. The skirt is so cute. I wish I still wore high heels because the satin slingback pumps are fantastic. Have a great day Tania.
Love the outfits! And I have seen many of them at Walmart! Thanks for making shopping easy!❤️
I am so glad you offer affordable options. I like Talbots, but sometimes you just need an affordable outfit! Thanks for all you do.
What a great variety of affordable holiday looks! Thank you!
Love the red dress! Va-Voom!
Really love the black lace cut-out dress. Walmart has stepped up their game. However the idea of a really great color high heel (hot pink) to set off a more casual jeans and sweater outfit for my Holiday parties is a winner ! Thanks for the ideas.
. I agree with your husband. I love the black dress with the fuschia heels!
Lots of great ideas. I agree with your husband. I love the black dress with the fuschia heels!
Thanks for posting also including dressy casual. Love the twisted off shoulder sweater!
What great affordable options Tania!!! I’m like you, I don’t have any fancy parties to attend, just friends and family gatherings. But these cute dressy options, we’re fun to see.
All beautiful pairings and things that I wouldn’t find on my own at Walmart. Thanks for doing this blog!
these outfits look comfortable as well as polished!
I have been finding some cute stuff at Walmart lately.
Absolutely gorgeous ! Walmart has really stepped up in the fashion world. Those pink pumps are HOT!!
Wow, Walmart has really stepped up their game. Thanks for sharing these great holiday outfit ideas. ss
Great outfits. While I don’t have any plans/places to wear the dresses, I did need the inspiration to pair black sweater and jeans with printed runa. Your outfits and postings are always a stylish. Thanks for all your efforts/work. Have a blessed week.
These are all fun outfits. The pink shoes are so cute and I love the coat. It comes in green too. My favorite is the boot cut jeans and turtle neck.
This post had one idea jump out at me. A nice coat! Every one of these outfits look nice, but the coat finished off the beautiful outfit for a party or event! I think my next investment will be a nice new coat! Thanks for the ideas!
Another great blog post! Just placed an order, Walmart clothing does not disappoint, not sure who they have up their sleeve but they are turning out beautiful clothing and accessories.
Good choices, I love them all! I really love that coat! I’m tempted, it’s such a classic either the gold buttons! Thanks Tania!!❤
I don’t have a fancy party either. Thank you for the casual looks.
Looks great. I love the black dress. I’m thinking about buying it and hiding it away for a future wedding.
These are such pretty things to wear. I am very pleasantly surprised that these are available at Wal Mart!
I love the midi skirt look with the off shoulder sweater outfit. It’s not too fancy and can be worn to church, casual get togethers, etc. The boyfriend jeans outfit with the fuschia pumps looks fabulous. Thank you for all of the amazing suggestions.
I love it when you post outfits from Walmart. It’s easy for me to order from. Sometimes too easy. Lol
Love all of these outfits. I don’t have a fancy party but sure wish I did with all these affordable cute outfits. Thank you so much for sharing.
Just WOW! You put together great festive outfits that won’t break the bank. If I had a dress-up party to attend, I’d select the black dress. However, I am drawn to the casual outfits because of our lifestyle. That burgundy tote bag is calling my name, but I need to look at the clothes in my closet to see how often I could carry it. Have a fabulous day!
It is a shame I don’t need any more winter clothes!
Love the fushia pumps. Thanks for sharing two ways to wear them.
I love the red dress and the black lace dress. I also liked the turtle neck with animal print wrap. I read somewhere that the midlength cardigans are out and I should get rid of mine. What are your thoughts?
I love love your recommendations! I’ve ordered several items!! Thank you very much!!

Love your recommendations! I’ve ordered several items!! Thank you!!!
My favorite is the green plaid skirt and green sweater outfit. They’re all so pretty though. Thank you for showing us these.
I ordered the red dress and hoping to wear it to our office holiday party.
I love these outfits! So pretty! Thank you for sharing!
Even though these are very elegant, a lot of these pieces can be worn “dressed down” so they are a lot more flexible! Thank you!
Love all of these looks! Wish I could get them all!
I’m not going to any dressy parties this year either. I love the casual jeans and turtleneck. the cozy wrap is so soft…saw it last week at my Walmart
