ADDING A POP OF COLOR TO BLACK AND WHITE
Yesterday was a”git r done” kind of day. I made me a list of things that I wanted to get accomplished, and who knew that doing that helps? Lol! I got a lot of pleasure out of checking off each task when it was completed. Plus, it kept me on track and focused which is hard. When I was writing the other day about all of the travelings that I have coming up, I started thinking about appointments that I might already have scheduled. Sure enough, there was a hair appointment and an endocrinologist appointment that needed to be rescheduled because I wouldn’t be in town. Then, I remembered that I had put in my last contact, so I needed to make an eye doctor appointment. Am I the only one who waits to the last minute to do things like this?
The local eye doctor didn’t have any appointments for over a month, so I called the neighboring county and got an appointment for that afternoon. I got a comprehensive examination and left there seeing spots. Lol! They dilated my eyes, took measurements, photos, checked me for cataracts, basically ran me through the mill. I decided to try monovision contacts this time. That is where they have one contact for seeing in the distance and one contact for seeing up close. I have been warned that this might take some getting used to before my brain retrains itself to automatically adjusts. The phrase about teaching an old dog new tricks keeps running through my mind, and I am wondering if my brain is “teachable.” I guess we will find out, but if you see me walking around in circles, please point me in the right direction. Lol!
How is this for a feel-good outfit? This cardigan from Ann Taylor is one of my favorites; I love the bright color. A cardigan is such an easy way to add some interest to any outfit. You can add a pop of color as I did with this outfit. Or, you can add a print when wearing a solid color, or a solid grounding color when wearing prints. Even the way that you choose to button the cardigan can make a difference in the way an outfit looks. Before you head out the door, look at yourself in the mirror with the cardigan left unbuttoned, and then try it with the top button fastened, or just the bottom buttons fastened. Then, you can decide the look you like best and head out the door.
I might be Casper’s twin sister now, but when I was younger, it was a different story. How many of you remember the days of using baby oil and iodine together for suntan lotion? It seemed like a good idea at the time, right?! Eventually, that caught up with me via dark spots on my fair skin ?
You know what? R+F has something for that! It’s called REVERSE. This regimen was what hooked me on R+F. I saw results in 2 weeks, and my readers saw the difference too. The comments started coming in wanting to know what I was doing because I was “glowing.” It is never to late to get your “glow” on! Join my Facebook group to find out how you can age gracefully with R+F, AND I am offering a special today in that group. Don’t have Facebook? I love your outfit. The pink cardigan is so cute. I went to Ann Taylor and found two different colors of pink. Do you know if this is true fuchsia or topical pink?
Vicki, I don’t know what the color of mine is because it was purchased over a year ago.
Girl, once you get used to the monovision contacts you will like them. It took me about 3 weeks to get used to it, but now I can go to dinner and read the menu without having to fish my readers out of my purse. Love the bright colors with the black and white. Makes an easy transition into spring. Costco had some checked pull on pants very similar to this style, the pattern was a smaller check but I don’t know if they still have them. Great looking pants though, and inexpensive!
I had mono vision contacts and loved them, No more reading glasses. Later I had laser correction on my eyes and they did that in mono vision also. Best thing I ever did.
Tania, I absolutely love your whole outfit!! I looked all over last year for black and white check pants and just couldn’t fine a pair I thought looked great. I went on your link and ordered this pair immediately. Can’t wait to pick them up after work tonight! Praying they look half as good on me as they do on you!
Good luck with monovision. I loved monovision so much I had surgery done for eye correction, like lasik so that I didn’t need contacts anymore and they did it as mono knowing my brain was programmed to make it work. I absolutely love this.
Hope your day goes well!
I have a similar outfit on today! Solid navy slacks and a striped navy and white tank with my hot pink cardigan.
Got raves when I walked in my office
I LOVE color!!
I have a similar pair of pants and never thought of adding a bright color, thank you for the suggestion! Sadly this regimen did absolutely nothing for my dark spots and sun damage. I wanted it to work so badly but it did not.
I wish it would have worked for you also. Of course, R+F has a huge array of other products that might work for you. There are some dark spots that aren’t “sun damage” and no product can lighten those.
This is a pretty and very flattering outfit on you!
Thanks, Kelly!
