50 IS NOT OLD | A TOAST TO LAE'VISIAJoe and I have a Valentine’s Day dance to attend tonight. We have gotten to where we like to go out occasionally and the Country Club where we are members have started having a few functions. Grundy is a small little town and there are not a lot of activities that we can do. Since the Country Club started having some parties we have attended a St. Patricks party, a 4th of July party, and a couple of Halloween parties. The last party we attended was the New Year’s Eve party. We attended that party with my friend that recently passed away. We had both brought some Champagne to do a toast at midnight for the incoming year. We ended up having to leave before midnight however so we did not do a toast. I called the club and asked if the bottles were still there and they were. So, tomorrow night, me and a couple of his friends will all be having a toast to our friend with his bottle of Champagne. He would like it better if we all had on wigs. I’ll have to see if I can find one. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | A TOAST TO LAE'VISIAMy friend had an alter ego. I know most of you have seen or heard of Madea. Madea is the alter ego of Tyler Perry and he has become quite famous with her in the movies. My friends alter ego was called Lae’Visia Rivers. This is a play on the name of the river that runs through Grundy, the Levisa. Lae’Visia put out videos that were hilarious and always wearing his/her wig. Lae’Visia wouldn’t go anywhere without being dressed to the “nines” and neither would my friend. (Remember the Gucci shoes) I have no idea what I will wear tonight because I want to be comfortable but I better look good. I wouldn’t want to disappoint Lae’Visia. 50 IS NOT OLD | A TOAST TO LAE'VISIAJoe asked me if I was feeling patriotic or if I was wearing this in support of the Patriots. Haha! I hadn’t even noticed that it was red, white, and blue. I wanted to wear this red sleeveless tunic/dress and I knew that I needed a shirt to wear under it. This tunic/dress is one that I got this past summer and I have worn it before. (here) The french terry dress is by Susan Graver. I love the two pockets on the front of the dress. This is just the perfect dress to wear in the summer, over a bathing suit, or with leggings, like I have it here.

50 IS NOT OLD | A TOAST TO LAE'VISIA All of you who are teachers, or if you have to buy a teachers gift, look at this necklace. This is perfect for anyone who has to wear a lanyard. My daughter has to wear one at her new job and she loves the Noah necklace. The necklace comes with the lobster claw clasp, but not with any type of pendant. This necklace is only $16.00. Can you believe that? Even better than that is my earrings. They have a huge rhinestone and a 1″ pearl drop. These Priscilla earrings are only 12.00.50 IS NOT OLD | A TOAST TO LAE'VISIAI was trying to get my bangles arranged so that you could see them. I have a couple Alex and Ani bracelets on that I bought when I went to Las Vegas and I added a couple of the Lindy bracelets that match. Don’t forget that I am offering 15% off Plunder on orders over 50.00, I will send you a check for the discount. Go to www.plunderdesign.com/party/believe to shop from Plunder. 50 IS NOT OLD | A TOAST TO LAE'VISIA The canvas satchel I am carrying is by Michael Kors. I like my Michael Kors purses that I have, and I have a few. I went through a phase where I bought Coach all the time but I sold most of them years ago at a yard sale for 20.00 a piece. I still have a few of the ones I liked the most but I hardly ever carry them. I am a creature of habit so I have to watch myself that I don’t get used to one type item.50 IS NOT OLD | A TOAST TO LAE'VISIAMy blue and white striped button-up shirt is from Talbots. I LOVE Talbots!!! I could spend a year’s salary in Talbots. It is a really good thing that I don’t have one close by. The nearest one is probably 2 1/2 hours away. I really like the fact that this is a no-iron shirt, I always look for that if I can. lol!

I actually do have a couple of wigs!! I went through a phase where they were my favorites because it made doing my hair so much easier. And of course, I had a different name when I was wearing each wig!!

Lae’visia will be smiling down with you and your friends toasting! What a great way to remember him. I am always surprised at your outfit picks. Do you do this in the morning or days before? Either way you know how to shake up your style! Have fun at the party!

    1. Connie, I pick out my outfits in the morning as I am getting ready for work. It might be a couple of days before they actually hit the blog, though. It depends on what my mood is and how the pictures turn out. Sometimes they hit the trash bin. Lol!

  4. You make my day, Tania!! (Well, you and my cup of coffee?). I hope you will continue to blog. Coming up with topics must be a challenge! No matter what you choose to write about, please know that your loyal followers are here to read it. Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Thanks, Nancy. I never know what I am going to talk about until I sit down at my computer. I figure one day you will only see pictures because I couldn’t think of anything to say. Lol!

  5. Sorry I meant to add – such a lovely way to remember a good friend!

  6. Love your striped shirt Tania and the way you teamed it up with the red. Have fun at your Valentines dance – sounds, fabulous!
I just posted about Zurich’s most prestigious fashion nite – might be fun for you to see how Swiss fashion matches the rest of the universe – haha: http://funkyforty.com/10704-2/

Love that outfit . Enjoy your champagne in your friend’s memory .

  8. Super outfit, I love the shirt and what a lovely way to honour your friend. I hope you have fun ?

  9. I love the way you have put the shirt under the tunic, it looks fab. I have a couple of frocks that I will try that with- it certainly extends the wearability of the item. Great idea!
