A Tip For Lifting The Winter Doldrums

Winter is cold, and the days are shorter, which limits the amount of sunlight we can enjoy. That is a formula for the blahs to set in. These are the days when you feel sluggish and don’t want to do much of anything. Here is a tip for lifting the winter doldrums, but you can use it any time of the year.

Add A Bright Color to Fight the Winter Doldrums

You know that I love being comfortable, but I also want to look stylish. This Blue Frost Cotton Cashmere Dolman Sweater is a trifecta since it is comfy and stylish and can also help to lift you out of the winter doldrums. This gorgeous turquoise color is bright and cheerful, and it makes me smile when I look at it. Color is a wonderful way to lift your spirits at any time of the year, but it is especially important when the winter doldrums set in.

Jeans aren’t comfortable most of the time, especially if you have to do a lot of sitting. Deep Teal is my “color of the moment,” and I keep buying clothing in this shade. When I saw these Suede Fur Lined Ballet Slides, I decided I needed to add this color to my shoes, also. They are super soft, and I love the deep rich color, but the fur does make them a little slippery. It might take me a bit to adjust to them, but I love how they feel, so I’m going to give them a chance. I’m wearing my usual size 9, and they fit great.
