A SIMPLE AND COMFORTABLE OUTFIT FOR MY MORNING WALK

I’ve been trying to take a short walk each morning since I sit so much for my job. Some mornings I walk on the treadmill, and sometimes I will go somewhere for a short walk. Beautiful scenery seems to make the walks go faster, and I loved this shaded area that I stumbled upon.

Since I was dressed comfortably, I decided to sit for a while and enjoy nature. There was a stream nearby, and I watched the birds fly in for a drink and listened to the water bubbling. It was so relaxing just to sit and be still for a few minutes.

The mornings are cool, so I slipped on this lightweight floral sweater from Appleseed’s. The sweater has gorgeous colors and a tropical vibe. The seafoam green and white flowers look great against the darker blue background.

I love that the sleeves come to my elbow, so I don’t have to worry about my upper arms. The sweater is a size medium, and that is the correct size for me.

I’ve worn the sweater before with my white Dennisport chinos, so I decided to see how it looked with my navy everyday slim pants today. The sweater looks great with navy also, but I ordered the wrong size pants. I am wearing a large, but I should have gotten a medium instead. I let the “slim” portion in the description scare me, and these are way too big on me.

I love the knit material of the pants and the pull-on style. The waistband is wide, so it lays flat and doesn’t roll. For an everyday pair of pants, you can’t go wrong with this pair. Just be sure to order the correct size. Lol!

The pair that I am wearing doesn’t have pockets, but there is a version with pockets, and I’ll show you the photo below.

Because I was going on a short walk, I slipped on my Sperry Crest Vibe white sneakers. I love these no-tie laces sneakers, and I wear them all of the time. The sneakers run a little big, and I had to size down to an 8 1/2 instead of my usual size 9. They are available in several colors, so be sure to check them out. I really love the Madras Plaid pair!

I never just sit down and relax, so this was a real treat for me. The outfit from Appleseed’s was comfortable and perfect for enjoying the morning. I’ve worked with Appleseed’s before, and everyone loved their clothing. Appleseed’s blends timeless tailoring with modern fabrics to deliver classic styles perfect for today’s modern woman.

I meant to tell you this last week with the Talbots Chatham pants post. I bought them in black, dressy length las year. They hold up well but dry cleaning fades them.

Also being a fan of side zippers and an abiding hatred of pulling off and breaking my nails pulling up my pull on pant, I took them (two pairs, one was black ankle from Chico’s several years old, the other a lighter was NYDJ you featured a couple years back) to the wonderful seamstress/alterations person at my cleaners and had her put in zippers. I went to Joanne’s to buy zippers and they didn’t have right color or right length. I know you can cut off a too long zipper but I was hesitant to do that in a zipper that gets stressed. She only charged $15 per pair! I always avoided wearing them because of frequent trips to the loo, brought on by trying to drink 80 oz of water a day. I’ve worn both since. It’s been too hot for long pants but I had appts.

Walking is so good for you. I aim for a daily walk of a minimum of 30 minutes. It is good for your body and your mind. I love either listening to my daily Bible readings or a podcast. Keep up the good work Tania!!
