A MULTI-COLORED SWEATER WITH JEANS

Y’all, yesterday’s post was a lot of fun. My part of the post was pretty routine, but your participation made the post so much fun. I think that a Hit or Miss – Would You Wear It might become a weekly post.

I’m still not feeling smurfy, so it is all that I can do to muster up a blog post, but I promise that I did read all of the comments you made, even if I didn’t answer them. What I loved about the comments was, everyone was very kind in the comments. You said why you do or didn’t like the outfit based on your body and lifestyle. It was great to hear your thoughts about what you would change and how you would wear parts of the outfit differently.
I think many of you are ready to launch your own blogs since your style advice was spot on. With any outfit, there are multiple ways you can style it, depending on what you are looking for. Are you going to work, shopping, running errands, staying around the house, going on a date, having lunch with friends, going to an event, etc. Each of those places might call for different shoes, pants, jewelry, etc., and how you adapt it to fit your lifestyle is all part of what my job is all about. You don’t have to dress exactly like me; instead, use my outfit as an inspiration.

There is a lot that I love about this multi-colored Fair Isle sweater. I love all of the colors and patterns in this sweater since it opens up a lot of possibilities for color combinations. The sweater is a great weight and of excellent quality, and it fits great. I’m wearing a medium, and it is perfect and not too tight. But, the best part of all, it is on a HUGE SALE, and it is under $32.00. The discount doesn’t show until you put it in your cart. There are plenty of sizes left right now, but with this sale going on, things will sell out quickly.

These geometric earrings are one of the first pairs of earrings that I ever bought from Kendra Scott. I purchased these same earrings in silver, and I loved them so much that I bought them in gold also. The layering necklaces are sold out, so I’ll try to link other necklaces instead since they are up to 40% off.

Did any of you eagle eyes see that these are the same jeans I had in yesterday’s post? The truth is, when I was taking photos last week, I took the pictures with the red criss-cross top first. Once I looked at the pictures, I decided I wasn’t happy with the outfit, so I changed tops and created this outfit instead. I probably wouldn’t have shown the red top photos if it hadn’t been for you gurls asking for my “misses.” Lol!
The info on the jeans is the same, so here it is again in case any of you missed it yesterday. I love the modern ankle jeans from Talbots. There is something about these jeans that are spot on! They hit me at the right spot on my ankle; they aren’t baggy, but they aren’t snug, and I even love the color. You see me wearing these a lot for a good reason, they are modern looking and fit great. I’m wearing an 8 since I usually size down one size in Talbots clothing.
On my Facebook group page, several ladies thought that the jeans I was wearing looked different from the jeans on the website. I agree; the website’s photos make the pants look like the leg is much wider than they look on me. I looked at my pants to verify they were the same ones, which they were, and the only thing that I can think of is that the model has skinner legs than me. Lol! Some thought mine looked like skinny jeans, but I think it is more like chubby legs instead.

These water-resistant Chelsea boots have been a favorite of mine this fall and winter. This pair has a lower heel that is easy to walk in, and they are easy to pull on. The gorgeous neutral color of these boots lets you wear them with almost anything. I found these to run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9. If you’ve been thinking about trying this style, this is a lovely pair to start with since they are on sale for an incredible price! Leather boots for under $50.00!?!

Talbots, my husband’s favorite store from way back, is having a HUGE sale that started yesterday. I’ve been ordering for my personal wardrobe, and I’ve picked a few things that I thought you might like. I suggest checking out the sale sooner rather than later. The prices are crazy good, and the best items will sell out fast.

The red sweater looks good on you but personally I would never wear it for the same reason I never wear “cold shoulder” or “cut out” sleeves. Just not my style. I would wear the fair isle. Also looks good on you. You look really slim. Great Bible verse today. I always look forward to them daily and especially your Sunday post. God bless you for sharing His word.
Tania, somehow I missed yesterday’s post, so I just took a look at it. The comments were all so polite! To me, the only person who could carry off that look would be Dolly Parton. Anyone else would be trying way too hard! Nice jeans, but the top is a thumbs down and the shoes looked so much better with other outfits you’ve featured.
Love this sweater so much I bought it to wear for Christmas, of course God laughed at that plan, our weather was predicted to be in 70’s for Christmas day, so I ended up wearing the sweater for our Christmas Eve Eve service on the 23rd. But love this sweater on you, and it is so comfortable. Have a great weekend!
Cute sweater…it reminds me of one that I had (and loved) back in the late 70’s, except mine was in shades of pink & lavender. Love those boots too and what a great price!
The boots were a great price before the sale, now they are incredible!
This sweater looks great on you!! Perfect colors! And, yes, I did notice the jeans were the same. I tried them on at Talbot’s yesterday, and will wait for a sale!! They are great jeans!! Feel better soon.
Talbots has great sales. I love taking advantage of them myself.
Tania, is that your house with all the snow at the beginning?
Oh, no! That’s where my daughter lives in Alaska. My weather is much warmer and I don’t have any snow.
Love the sweater so cheery especially since winter can be colorless.
I did not have time to comment on yesterday’s outfit. Cute top for an occasion but not with jeans. It cheapens the look like you’re trying too hard to be sexy which you are in a classic way.
Those jeans look very good on you! I have this problem with ankle jeans, though – when I was growing up I was tall – taller than most of my classmates. I could never find pants that were long enough and I felt very self-conscious when my pants were too short (they were called “high water” pants as an insult) and I couldn’t lower the hem enough to make me feel comfortable. I still get that feeling today, even though I know that’s the style and perfectly acceptable. I guess early insecurities never completely leave you. While the sweater is pretty, horizontal stripes just don’t look good on me. Whenever I find a pretty vertical stripe top, I jump on it – there just aren’t that many that I find that I like.
Linda, I have long legs, so I had the high-water issue too. I’ve embraced the style now, and I’m glad that it is a style instead of a size issue.
I love the outfits, I personally am not to fond of anything to high up (like polo neck)
I was afraid of the neckline at first, but it isn’t tight or confining.
You look terrific!! I love this outfit!!❤️❤️
Thanks, Anne!
