A List of The Best Athletic Shoes Trending Now
Gurls, with the holidays upon us, we’re on our feet constantly. We’re cooking and cleaning and decorating and shopping, and on and on we go. I’m tired just thinking about it. Whew. I don’t know if it’s true, but I feel like my energy level is directly related to how supportive my footwear is. That’s why I’m sharing a list of the best athletic shoes trending now with you. These are not only functional but VERY popular right now. Don’t forget to grab some socks, I did a post on those today, also.
A List of The Best Athletic Shoes Trending Now – Hoka

I’ve been wearing Hoka’s for a couple of years. This pair is older, and I need to buy a new pair. I’m not a runner, but I have been working out and want to start moving more, even if only for a short walk. My friend, who is a runner, also swears by these, and her suggestion is to size up a half-size. I ordered a 9.5 instead of my normal size 9, and they fit great.
Hoka is known for making cushiony and light athletic shoes. These Kawana sneakers have what they call “Swallowtail™ heel geometry & an extended crash pad”. It’s a fancy way of saying it’s supposed to reduce impact. The cushiony comes from compression-molded EVA foam. I thought the cabernet color was gorgeous, but click the link to see other great options.
For my Gurls who love color! These running shoes are very light and EXTRA plush. Just looking at these makes me feel more energetic. I love this pink color, but there are a lot of options that are drop-dead gorgeous. I might even take up running in these things, lol.
A List of The Best Athletic Shoes Trending Now – Lululemon
Lululemon is known for its cute workout clothes and loungewear, but it also makes great athletic shoes. These are officially training shoes, which just means they are good for a variety of activities. Perfect! Cause we’ve got a variety of holiday activities to keep us busy. These run true to size, but if you want a wider shoe, size up a half size. Also available in other cute color combinations if you don’t like white.
These Lululemon sneakers feature a supportive knit upper that wraps around your foot for added stability. The reviews say that these are extremely comfortable and light. The knit upper stretches to allow your foot to slide into the shoe, but if you have issues with getting these types of shoes on, you may want a different version. These are available in several colors, including bone, black, and others.
A List of The Best Athletic Shoes Trending Now – On
I see On Cloud sneakers EVERYWHERE, on both men and women. They really are incredibly comfortable. I put on a pair while shopping at Nordstrom, and I understood the hype. These are officially running shoes, but you can have all kinds of adventures in these. Available in heather, gray, and black and white.
Can sneakers be chic? What else would you call these On Cloud sneakers?! Not only do they look great, but these would be perfect for women like my sister who need a wider toe box. I am also a fan of the speed laces. Who has time during the holidays to tie their shoes?! lol
A List of The Best Athletic Shoes Trending Now – Brooks
This is the last brand I’m sharing with you today, but they are certainly not the least! Brooks has been around forever. Okay, since 1914. That means our grandmothers could have been rocking Brooks running shoes! Mine was more into high heels than sneakers, but I’m guessing she would have appreciated these beauties. This is the brand that my husband, Joe, swears by. He won’t wear anything else.
You can’t go wrong with a classic white sneaker. These look very similar to the first Lululemon pair I shared. The company may have been around since 1914, but these are definitely modern-day sneakers. They have a “breathable 3D fit print upper for a seamless fit.” 3D printed upper? It’s like shoes from the future, lol. I don’t understand the technology, but all I know is they are uber comfortable.
Gurls, don’t let sore and tired feet derail your plans. Get some comfortable sneakers and take care of yourself!

I love my On Clouds! Best shoes ever!
I wear Saucony for cardio dance (lots of sideways movement) and now need to find court shoes for pickleball. I’d love another post from you on shoes for other specific uses.
All of these shoes look so cute and comfortable. Thanks, Tania!
Love the supportive and very stylish. Thank you.
I’m with you on the Hokas; mine are a lifesaver! I want to try ON, though, so thanks for sharing these. Merry Christmas to you, Joe and your family!
Merry Christmas!
I love my Hoka’s after my knee replacement the surgeon recommended them I have worn them now for 5 years! I have several pairs in several different colors!
Nope! We don’t like to go out after dark either. And I’m with Joe. I like Brooks better than Hoka.
I’m also a fan of On and Ecco.
I need to ask Santa for some Hokas!
Thank you for your post on athletic sneakers. I’m a previous runner and need to get back into it! I’ve learned, the hard way, it is imperative to buy a good pair of running/walking
sneakers. I went so long with adding insoles, countless band aids, and blisters, so once I found what work, it became something I enjoyed, rather than dredging it.
Interesting selection. I notice so many have the thick chunky sole of the shoe. Not sure I am a fan of that look on an older woman haha. I wear Ryka’s consistently for dance aerobics and love them. Brooks for everyday.
Penny Jo, the thick, platform sole shoes are what’s trending. I love trying to keep all my followers informed about the latest styles.
