50 IS NOT OLD | A FUN BACHELORETTE WEEKEND | FASHION OVER 40I am on my way home from Rosemary Beach and I am so anxious to get back home. I had the best time but I miss Joe and I am afraid he will forget what I look like if I stay much longer. Lol! I told him that all he had to do was go on Pinterest and he could find me but he didn’t seem that amused by my response. All joking aside, he was the reason that I ended up going on this trip and I appreciate him so much. It is never fun to be the one left at home while the other one is away having fun. I think it is time for him to take the next trip but he better hurry because I have another one in September. ?50 IS NOT OLD | A FUN BACHELORETTE WEEKEND | FASHION OVER 40When we got to town, the check-in time for the house was not for a couple of hours so we decided to pass the time by going for lunch and then to follow that up by having a massage at The Pearl. The massage was amazing and they were so nice. However, since we were a last minute booking, my Energizer Bunny Friend and I had to share a room. They put us in a couples room. Let’s just say that we saw waaaay more of each other than we ever had before. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | A FUN BACHELORETTE WEEKEND | FASHION OVER 40 After the massage, we decided to relax a little while by the pool while the rest of our party had their massages. The view definitely didn’t suck. Hahaha!50 IS NOT OLD | A FUN BACHELORETTE WEEKEND | FASHION OVER 40 Do I look relaxed to you? I love this picture even though I still have the imprint of the pillow on my forehead from the massage. My tension level in my shoulders has improved drastically since Joe bought me my new office chair but I still have a long way to go. I look forward to the day when I can have a massage and they don’t almost bring me to tears trying to work the kinks out. Every time I have a massage it gets better and better. At this rate, I should be loose as a goose by this time next year. ?
50 IS NOT OLD | A FUN BACHELORETTE WEEKEND | FASHION OVER 40This would have been a great picture if I had put my sunglasses on instead of squinting into the sun. But since I am sitting on the beach with my50 IS NOT OLD | A FUN BACHELORETTE WEEKEND | FASHION OVER 40 toes in the sand, I can’t complain. Lol! In case you have been wondering “why” I have been at the beach for the past few days it was because I was attending a bachelorette party there. 50 IS NOT OLD | A FUN BACHELORETTE WEEKEND | FASHION OVER 40Please ignore the “harsh” flash for this picture. I want to introduce you to Iris Thompson. She and Brandon Roberson will be getting married in November, and she invited me and my Energizer Bunny Friend to come and celebrate will her and a bunch of her friends this weekend. I met Iris and Brandon 2 years ago when I flew out to Las Vegas (here) and we went to their Suite for brunch. She and Brandon were so welcoming to me then and I was truly honored to be included in their bachelorette party. 50 IS NOT OLD | A FUN BACHELORETTE WEEKEND | FASHION OVER 40Life can be full of unexpected adventures and that is what makes it so much fun. Be open to new avenues and adventures. Say yes more often instead of thinking of the reasons you shouldn’t go for it. If someone asks you to go to the movies, say yes. If you get asked to go to New York, say yes. If you get asked to share your love for a blog that just happens to be named 50 Is Not Old, say yes. Lol! You get the idea! Life is short so we need to make the most out of it while we can. Start by commenting on something that you are happy you said YES to.

I’m glad I said yes this year to driving across country in a tiny car to help my daughter move from California to Ohio. Her car was packed to the roof with her belongings (and her cat!) Not the most “fun” trip but definitely a priceless one.

You look fabulous! Very tan and very thin! Looks like a blast, but even more special to have someone you love to go home to! I am so glad I said yes to your great blog! And yes to being under you in Plunder Design!

    1. We had a blast, Charlcy. It is always more fun when you have someone to travel with.

I love reading your blog: fun, awesome fashion ideas, informative & inspirational!!

My recent “yes” was accepting my Sister’s invitation to attend her 50th High School Reunion!! Her Hubby couldn’t go, so she thought of me since I’m only behind her by 2 years and our Classes were so connected!! I hadn’t seen some of theses friends for 20-50 years and it was just an awesome experience to renew old friendships!! I’m so thankful I said, “YES”!

  6. Rosemary Beach is my FAVORITE place in the whole wide world. Looks like lots of fun and girl bonding.
