A Festive Christmas Sweater Without a Snowman or Santa
Now that Thanksgiving is over, we can shift our focus to Christmas. In Tuesday’s post, I showed a lot of full-on Christmas attire with reindeer, snowmen, Santas, elves, etc. I’m one of those people who used to be decked out in head-to-toe Christmas clothing for the entire month of December. I loved wearing Christmas cardigans and sweaters, and I even painted myself a few Christmas sweatshirts. However, while I still love to wear festive Christmas sweaters, I thought I would show you a way to look festive without wearing a snowman on your chest.
I thought you might enjoy a few of my 2016 Christmas looks. Lol! My style sure has changed over the years!!!
I still love the look of the Poinsettia sweater!
This is one of my handpainted sweatshirts I did when the kids were young.
When I saw this Mrs. Claus Sweater/Dress at Walmart, I knew Joe would get a huge kick out of seeing me wearing it. I was right!!! Lol!
This Christmas outfit still manages to look festive even though there are no snowmen or Santas. The great thing about wearing something with a snowflake or a snowman, or even a deer is that you can wear that for the entire winter season without it being considered Christmas clothing.
This Fa la la crewneck sweater has just enough Christmas spirit to look festive but not go over the top. I love this understated sweater with muted-looking letters; it is soft and comfortable and great for wearing with jeans. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me perfectly.
The letters are slightly raised on the sweater and have a tiny bit of metallic thread running through them. Of course, this sweater has sold out. That is the bad thing about anything that is holiday themed, it sells out quickly. I’m going to find some similar ones, and if you like any of them, don’t dilly-dally, or they’ll be gone!
I’m wearing the same black corduroy jeans I wore in Monday’s post, but this sweater would also look great with jeans, khakis, or even a skirt. The Satin Crystal Embellished Pink Heels and the Quilted Leather Clutch elevates this look. You could wear this outfit to a holiday party or kick off the heels and celebrate at home. The heels run true to size; I’m wearing my usual size 9. I also have these heels in black, and they are drop-dead gorgeous. The handbag is already sold out, but the Satin Clutch I carried with the Cheetah print sweater on Monday would look just as good.
I like wearing non-traditional colors for the holidays. Hot pink is not a color I normally associate with Christmas, but this gorgeous pink two-button coat looks fabulous with the Fa la la sweater and heels. My daughter came in for Thanksgiving, and I thought I was losing this coat. She ended up taking a coat that I had gotten last year in this same color, so thankfully, this one stayed in my closet. I’m wearing a size medium, and it fits me perfectly.

I love holiday clothing ugly sweaters and all!
LOVE the Fa La La sweater!!!
The Falala sweater, the pink coat and those pink heels!! Love it all!
You have inspired me to consider wearing the bold pink. It looks wonderful on you! The coat accents your base layering pieces so nicely and we must not forget the pink shoes, all amazing on you! Most importantly, thanks for sharing The Word.
I love the pink shoes and coat; pink is a good color on you.
Love the pink shoes!!!
I appreciate the many hours you put into your presentations but I must say that I much prefer when you present photos of you styling different outfits rather than just picture after picture of clothing.
Thank you for all you do.
P.S. Love those bright pink heels!
What a gorgeous and elegant outfit. So sad the sweater is sold out – the company could have sold a thousand more! The shoes are so you. I wish I could wear those heels. I am wearing the hot pink long gown to a gala this holiday – I love the color you. By the way, your look now is younger than the earlier photos. Hair color so flattering.
Beautiful sweater, Thank you for helping us women over 50 with your stylish, yet comfortable dressing tips.
I live the pink coat on you. I am going to have to get the Falala sweater. Hope you and your family have a happy holiday.
