A BRIGHT PINK TOP TO CELEBRATE THE COMING OF SPRING

Spring will be here on Saturday, and I am celebrating today in a bright floral pink top. I am also celebrating because it is Joe’s birthday today. Since I am not supposed to make a big deal of it, don’t tell him that you saw this on the blog. Lol! I went to the grocery store over the weekend, and I was wearing a bright pink coat in this same color. When I passed by the floral aisle, I couldn’t resist picking up a dozen gorgeous roses. As I was paying, a gentleman in front of me turned around and said, “I wouldn’t have expected anything less from a fashion blogger than to match her flowers to her coat. Lol!

I had to laugh for a couple of reasons. For one thing, I never think of people where I live following my blog. I rarely see a comment from someone local, so I assumed that no one here knew about my blog. And, I hadn’t even noticed that the roses were the same color as my coat. I love bright pink, so it is not shocking that I have lots of items in that color. But I thought it was funny that he thought that I did it on purpose. Lol!

Did I mention that I love wearing pink? Lol! This gorgeous floral print puff sleeve top is too cute. I love the print, and the slight puff on the sleeve is great for someone like me who tries to create curves in every way that I can. The puff on the sleeves helps create the illusion that I have wider shoulders than I do, making my waist look smaller than it really is. If you have wide shoulders, then you might want to steer clear of the puff sleeve trend.

This is a cotton poplin top, so it doesn’t have a lot of stretchiness to the material. I am never sure if I will wear a medium or a large in tops. So, I ordered a size large in this top because I was afraid that it would be too small since the material wouldn’t stretch. It fits me great, and I am happy with this size choice.

Here is a close-up of the gorgeous pattern on the top. Plus, you can see the slight puffing on the shoulder and the button detail that I forgot to mention earlier. Also, the jewelry that I am wearing is all showing nicely in this photo. My earrings are the Josie medium size hoops. These are slightly daintier than the large AVI hoops that I normally wear.

My necklaces are a silver horizontal cross, the Elisa gold vermeil pendant with my name monogrammed on it, and the Rebecca multi-strand pendant in white Howlite. I also added the Natalie hinge bracelet, which I adore. I love that the bracelet is oval instead of round. That makes it easier for me to lay my arm down on the desk as I type.

I just got these straight-leg jeans this week. I bought them in two different shades, and this is the Sail Wash color. I ordered my usual size 30 in these jeans, and they fit true to size. The fit is relaxed but not baggy. The jeans sit at your waist and have a 27″ inseam. The 27 or 28-inch inseam is my favorite length since they look great with all types of shoes. The other color that I bought was faded indigo. Both of these jeans are limited in size, so I’ll link to some similar items.

Pink pumps! Could there be anything prettier??? I’ve had these suede pumps for several years, and I still love wearing them. It is fun to have a few pairs of shoes that make you smile, and these make me smile. They are not the kind of shoes that I want to wear all day long, but they are perfect for dinner. Here are some similar ones.

The top is fine to leave out or to tuck it in. I wanted to show you how it looks both ways, and in this photo, I tucked it in and added my black leather belt. I love this belt, but it is too big for me with high-waisted jeans. So, I just placed the order for the medium version. The belt also comes in a pretty brown color if that is what you are searching for.
