THIS OUTFIT MAKES THE TRANSITION INTO FALL LOOK EASY

If you are enjoying the summer sunshine today, you will probably be shaking your head at this post. Summer is one of my favorite times for weather, but fall is my favorite time of year for clothing. I’m not actually jumping the gun on wearing fall clothing, but I’m trying to help you to start the transition into fall period so that you will be prepared when fall arrives.

At this time of the year, I start thinking about buying clothing that I can wear now and later. Obviously, some items will not be perfect for this time of the year since they would be too hot. But, the evenings and mornings are already starting to see the temperatures drop, so I am already pulling out some of my lightweight cardigans and sweaters.

Before I tell you about this awesome cheetah print cardigan, I want to bring this simple black ruffled neck tank to your attention. This is a wear now and later item since it is lightweight and is sleeveless. I love sleeveless tops because I can wear them under cardigans and jackets without the bulkiness of sleeves showing. I am wearing a medium, and it fits me fine.

Okay, okay, here are the details of the cheetah print cardigan. Cheetah, leopard, zebra, snakeskin, etc., are all prints that are always in fashion. They are considered neutral, which is hard for me to wrap my brain around since it is a print. But, basically, you can wear any of those prints with any color, and you will always grab attention.

I like the tan color of this cardigan. Often, I see animal print items with a harsh mustard yellow-tan color, but this one is softer and a color that I prefer. I also like that this cardigan is lightweight and perfect for the transition into fall without too much bulk. I am wearing a medium because I like a cardigan to hang open to show the clothing underneath. If I wanted it to overlap just a little, then I would have gotten the large instead.

These black skinny scuba pants are a gorgeous heavier Ponte knit type pants. They fit like compression leggings, but they look like fabulous dress pants. I have The Perfect Skinny Pant by Spanx, and this pair is very similar in fit but a little less expensive. I am wearing a large, and they fit tight, but not too tight. 

You can see the sheen a little bit that the seed beads on this necklace have. They are faceted, so they have a lot of shine and sparkle to them. I love the knotted design with the hanging tassels, and it reminds me of the antique flapper beads that I own. A long black necklace is an essential jewelry accessory that every lady needs in their jewelry box. It will go with so many things, and you will get a lot of wear from it. I like a long necklace since it brings your eye downward and helps to elongate your neck. 

I am sorry that I didn’t get an up-close photo of the black heels with the pants. The grass hid a lot of the detail, so here is a photo of the shoes from when I wore them with the knotted black and white dotted dress. I love the texture variation on the shoes, which gives them a unique detail that will grab attention. I am wearing my usual size 9, and they fit great.

Have I convinced you yet to start looking at fall clothing? Right now is a strange time of the year when it comes to clothing. Most of us think, “I don’t need any more summer clothing since fall is quickly approaching.” But, you will find some AWESOME deals on summer clothing right now, and if you think you will be the same size next year, then it is a great time to take advantage of the savings. 

I like to buy shoes, jewelry, and handbags on these “summer sales” since I can’t outgrow those. Lol! Here are a few of those items that I’ve found on sale, and I thought I would share the savings with all of you.
