3 Stylish Wide Leg Pant Outfits for Spring From Kohl’s

These pants from Kohl’s Draper James line effortlessly blend sophistication with comfort, thanks to their flattering high-rise fit and wide-leg silhouette. The pleated detailing adds a touch of elegance, while the tie belt cinches the waist for a defined look. Whether you dress them up with heels for a night out or pair them with sneakers for a casual day around town, these pants will make you feel effortlessly chic and put-together.

I absolutely adore this Femme Tie-Neck Flutter Sleeve Shirt in this fun green! Its vibrant color and playful floral pattern instantly brighten up any outfit, adding a pop of freshness to my spring wardrobe. The tie-neck detail adds a touch of femininity, while the flutter sleeves give it a breezy, carefree vibe that’s perfect for sunny days. You could easily wear it with a pair of denim shorts or black bermudas if wide-leg pants aren’t for you!

Now, let me gush about the Nine West Carryall Handbag for a moment! With its sleek design and spacious interior, it’s the perfect companion for busy days when I need to carry my essentials and then some. The chic black exterior and versatile carryall design transition easily from casual to dressy events, while the quality craftsmanship will keep it looking great all season long.

The Novalie wedge sandals from Nine West effortlessly combine style and comfort, making them a go-to choice for sunny days. You gurls know I’m obsessed with woven and rattan accessories. The sleek wedge design adds a touch of elegance, while the cushioned footbed ensures all-day wearability. Whether you wear them with a sundress or dress up your favorite jeans for a casual outing, these sandals add the perfect finishing touch to your look.

This next outfit was a little out of my regular wheelhouse, so I was nervous about trying it on! Gurls…. I love it! I think it looks so chic and classic. I love the crisp white, which looks even better with my skin after I did my faux tan routine.

Let’s chat about this vest. I love the classic v-neck design and sophisticated button-front detail. Made from a luxurious linen blend, it’s lightweight and breathable, perfect for hot summer days. I kind of want to style it with some other bottoms, just for fun! What bottoms would you pair it with?

I loved wearing these pants from Nine West! They just felt like they exuded elegance with every step I took. The relaxed fit and timeless pintuck detailing, paired with the lightweight linen, result in the perfect combination of comfort and style. Don’t love the vest? You could wear them with a flowy blouse for a laid-back vibe or dress them up with a sleek top for a more polished feel.

If white pants aren’t your favorite thing to wear, then perhaps you’ll like this next look with wide-leg jeans a little better. This one feels like the perfect spring uniform you can wear anywhere your day takes you. I’m telling you…. a quality pair of wide-leg jeans is a great staple piece to your wardrobe this year, and this pair from Draper James is great! They have a flattering high-rise silhouette, and the wide hem elevates them to look dressier than a typical jean, in my opinion.

I think these jeans are a great length for warmer weather! They are perfect for showing off your pedicure and for displaying your sandals. They are fitted through the hip and thigh, so they don’t give off that unflattering, soggy bottom look that some wide-leg pants do.

The mornings and nights are still chilly here, so I topped the look off with a button-down cardigan. I am obsessed with the ribbed texture and the gold buttons. I thought it would also look cute over a sundress or shift dress!

Whether you’re dressing it up with a blazer or keeping it casual with shorts for a weekend getaway, this tank top is sooo cute. It has the most adorable side button detail, and I love the navy and white floral print. Trust me, it’s a piece that’ll have you feeling chic and confident this spring and summer.

  2. Janice Nagle says:

  3. Stacy Brand says:

Fabulous recommendations!! I plan to purchase a couple items.

  4. Very cute dressing from kohl’s. I think the white vest is great for going with any color pants but especially like the white on white vest and pants

  5. Love all the looks from Kohl’s. Our closest one is hard to get to so I have not been in years, but after seeing your post, I will give it another try! I wear petites so need to check out their section.
    Thank you and blessings,
    Paula K.

  6. I recently bought the Draper James high waist jeans. I really like the quality and the style of them. The front and back pockets are flattering. My only concern is the length on me. I’m only 5’4” so they hit my leg right at the ankle. The length doesn’t fit me like they do on you and the model. Is it okay for this style pant to hit and the ankle?

    1. Kim, hitting the ankle isn’t bad. Just make sure to wear a shorter top so your leg look longer.

  7. Love these outfits!! Most of all I love your family stories!! You guys really know how to have fun and do things together that make memories for all!!
Love your niece’s outfit and the typewriter!!

  8. I love Draper James, but m tryy local Kohls has to little to choose from. Maybe I need to try online.

  9. I noticed that you didn’t list the sizes on any items today. Please go back to doing that, as it is very helpful to me. I have found that Draper and James pants run smaller than other brands and would have liked to know if you found that to be true on these pants or not. I am practically your clone in height and weight, so knowing what size you are wearing is
    Very helpful.

    1. Sizes have been updated.

  10. Ginger Hiller says:

Your granddaughter looks fabulous. Great looks on you! I’d love the blue and white tank in hot pink. I can see you wearing the white vest and dark denim, navy or red pants.

  11. Sally Johnson says:

l love all three outfits. As always you look lovely. I would get a lot of wear with any of these. Now I have to decide which one to buy.

  12. Linda Dearman says:

Your Niece’s outfit is spit on! Well dine and thanks for sharing that witj The gurls!

  13. Love these great looks from Kohl’s!

  14. You look great in all the outfits! The white one is especially attractive.

  15. I love all the wide leg pants and jeans on you. I’m going to check out the first white pants. I’ve embraced the wide leg trend since it got strong last year. I’m going to be one of those women that says “I’m never giving up my wide leg jeans” when they are not trending like skinny jeans. When I want to feel elevated I will wear wide leg pants or jeans. I’m also petite. The proportion and the fit around the hips and rear has to be more fitted for me. Many years ago I had a book about petite dressing. The statement I remember is that a petite woman can wear any style if it’s proportioned right to her body. I wish I still had that book

    1. Yes! Petites can wear anything they want, you just need to keep the proportions correct.

  16. Love these spring looks. If Mother Nature decides to smarten up in my neck of the woods, I too could enjoy some lighter layers.

  17. sue koren says:

    Love Draper James!

  18. I love the wide leg pants look but find it hard to wear because of my height, 5’0” is to short for the style

    1. You can do it, Lori! The pants need to be sized for a petite, and adding a cropped or shorter top will help…give it a try.

    2. Anita Lansey says:

You’re right Lori. I’m somewhere between 4’11 & 5′ and really tire of so called petite pants dragging the ground. I don’t care what the fashionestas say. I’m sticking with the elastic, cinched pants I DON’T have to worry about getting tattered an dirty dragging on the ground.

  19. Your niece is beautiful!

  20. I am going on my lunch hour to get those white pants!! I just checked and they have them in my size at our local store. I usually wear a 6 or 8. Do these run big? I really like the denim ones too.

    1. Landy, it depends on which pair you are talking about. I added the sizes I’m wearing to the post.

  21. Do you have the sizes you are wearing for these outfits? I seem to be the same size as you are and it really helps me when you also show the sizes that you are wearing!

    1. I updated the post with the sizing.

  22. Hello! These outfits are lovely for spring. I really like the vest/top and the wide legged pants. I had to read your post twice and I couldn’t find any comments on the fit. I always appreciate your comments on fit, if the items are TTS or I need to size up or down. It really helps me decide on sizing.

    1. Sue, I must have been in a hurry and forgot to add them. I’ve updated the post to include the sizing.

  23. Stella Gustafson says:

    Absolutely beautiful outfits

  24. All of these styled outfits look good on you. Especially like the green and white outfit and the blue outfit.

  25. I love everything in this post!!! happy Monday❤❤❤

  26. Love the look of a wide leg pant and wedge sandals, but I have short legs and I don’t do well with heels. Any suggestions for people like me?

    1. Nancy, you just need to buy a petite size, but you can still wear wide leg pants. Be sure to pair them with a cropped or shorter top since that helps your legs to look longer.

  27. I love all 3 of these outfits and I think you look great in all 3!

  28. Your niece looks tres chic! The party sounds like it was a blast. Ok, wide legged pants…I’m kind of on the fence. You make them look great and I love the white vest and pants outfit. My problem is I’m short and I feel dumpy in wide legs. Any suggestions?

    1. Cecilia, it is all about proportions. Make sure to purchase wide leg pants made for petites, and then pair them with a cropped or shorter top. Notice that the vest is fitted close to my body, and is shorter. That makes my legs look longer.

  29. Vera wang tops are great. Have several of great quality.

  30. Jenniffer Groski says:

I absolutely love the white outfit on you. So chic and modern looking. I’m really liking all the wide leg pants this season.

    1. I love that white outfit too! I think it was my favorite.

  31. Nice bought similar at Tirrird wide leg crop denim.

  32. Donna Ingalls says:

I have to go and do a try on after seeing those pretty pictures. Hope I can pull off the pants as well as you did.
Great background for this photo shoot!

    1. Thanks, Donna. Now that most of the cold weather is over, I can take photos in other places besides my hallway. 🤣

  33. Nancy Steinke says:

Love everything in today’s post, especially the high rise pants and jeans!

  34. I can’t do the wide legs! I am way too short for them.

    1. Kathy, you need to try them. Petites can wear wide legs too.

      1. I agree Tania. It’s about proportion.

  35. Becky Kerwin says:

I love shopping for spring and summer so much more than the rest of the year!! Lol!
