3 New Products From City Beauty I’m Trying

Older women have a reputation for being stuck in their ways. If I’ve heard “If it works, why try something else” once, I’ve heard it a thousand times. The problem with that philosophy is if you don’t try new things, you don’t know what works. This applies to life, fashion, and skincare. I love trying new things; it challenges me in technology, takes me out of my comfort zone in fashion, and keeps me looking the best I possibly can with skincare. Here are 3 new products from City Beauty I’ve added to my skincare routine.

When introducing new skincare products into my normal routine, I like to only add one to three products. If you change your routine too drastically, it is hard to tell if the newer additions are working. I added City Beauty’s Lip Lifting Treatment, Ultra-Fill Marionette Line Treatment, and City Lips Night Oil this month. City Beauty has been kind enough to give me a code – TANIA30, which provides you with 30% off your entire order!

Word of mouth is one of the best ways to find out about skincare that works. I was talking about skincare with a friend, and she mentioned that she was trying City Beauty’s Lid Lifting Treatment and loving it. That was all the encouragement I needed to give it a try.

My eyelids are in reasonably good shape, but I’ve noticed a minor drooping about the crease line. Each night I apply a tiny amount with my ring finger to my upper lid into the crease line and extend it toward my brow. I’ve only been using this for a few weeks, but I’m starting to see a slight change. I have another tube on order, and this is going to be a permanent addition to my routine.

City Beauty’s Ultra-Fill Marionette Line Treatment is the next product I’m trying. This treatment targets the most challenging lines on our face; nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

I apply a small amount to those areas after my moisturizer.

I’m using this morning and night, and I realize that this product will take longer to show results. The deeper the wrinkle or line, the longer it will take to deliver change. Consistency and time are what deep wrinkles require, so I’m going to continue with this product for at least six months to give the product time to work.

The third product is a familiar product since I introduced it into my skincare routine back in March when I talked about a new product that has me obsessed. As you can see from the photo above, I’m still obsessed with this product!!!

I apply the City Lips Night Oil morning and night. The soft, exfoliating formula leaves my lips feeling hydrated and moisturized. I’m panicking right now since you can see I’m almost out of the Night Oil, which is out of stock. It is supposed to be back in stock in June. I’ve signed up to be notified once it’s back, and this time I’ll order a couple of extra bottles so this doesn’t happen again.

I appreciate City Beauty for giving me the code TANIA30, which gives you 30% off your entire order!!! Be sure to apply it at checkout to get the best possible price on any of their products. And, a BIG thanks to all of my readers for supporting brands that allow me to bring you new and fresh ideas.

  1. I’m on wait list for oil too. I just got the marionette treatment with a good coupon but the scent is so strong. Is that just mine? I never had a product from them with such a strong scent.

    1. I’m usually sensitive to scents, but it doesn’t bother me at all. 🤷‍♀️

Tania, I thought you may like to know a make-up trick to minimize the look of your smile lines while waiting for your special moisturizer for this area to work. You just finish your make-up for the day then take a Highlighter pen and draw with the Highlighter pen in your laugh lines then pat lightly to blend. This will make any line that is only a shadow to come forward so as to minimize the look of the line that’s simply a shadow. I learned this from a world famous make-up artist just last year!!

    1. Natalie, I do that under my eyes also. I bend my head forward to see the shadows better, then I try and highlight them to remove any shadows.

I need a video example to understand this one. I’m about ready to try anything!!

Tania, I have been using the Lid Lifting Treatment for some time now, and like you, I can really see an improvement. Upon your recommendation, I ordered and am also using the City Lips Oil at night, and love it. Their lip colors are all that I’m using now, and I really like all of them, including the clear. Since we have a discount code from you, I will place an order for for of the lips treatment oil. Thanks so much!

  4. I’m going to give the lid treatment a try. Thank you Tania for the discount code!

    1. Nancy, I love hearing back from y’all when you try different products, so be sure to let me know how you like it in about 3 months.

  5. Robin Dotson says:

Ordered the Marionette cream – don’t really have bad lines anywhere except around my mouth and I don’t even smoke!

    1. Robin, I never smoked either. You can get those lines from every day life.

  6. I love the City Lips Night Oil! I had a spot on my lip the size of a pea that was always dry. The Night Oil took care of it! Yayyyyy!

    1. Julie, I can’t wait until it comes back in stock. I use it day and night!

  7. Tania, I’m trying the lid lifting treatment. If it works, I’m going to order some for my husband! His lids are worse than mine lol! Have a nice Memorial Day Weekend!

    1. Dawn, good luck with your hubby. I tried to get Joe to use it too, but he refuses. 😒

  8. We had a similar experience when our garage door was on Wi-Fi and you could control it by an app. I came home a couple days and the door was wide open! I think anything on Wi-Fi can go wacky😂

  9. Do these City Products have a scent? I tried a couple of their items and they had a very strong floral scent which bothered me. Thanks!

    1. Lynn, I’m sensitive to fragrances also, and I don’t think these “smell.”

  10. So I was about to use up all my skin care products and switch to Rodan + Fields. I was hoping to just use one brand instead of multiples. It looks like I can’t get what I need from one brand? How do you decide what works in one brand and what you need from another?

    1. Pat, the items I’m trying are not products that R+F offers. That is why it is easier for me to try them and see if they work.

  11. I will have to give them a try. Thanks for the heads up!

I bought the night time oil last time you talked about it. I really like it!
