Before you even begin this post, I am going to apologize. I am about to bore you with a TON of photos from my vacation in Los Cabo; I know a lot of you have been asking to see my photos, but some of you might rather see my normal fashion post. You have been forewarned what is coming your way. Lol! There is a song out that says, “Sorry, not sorry” and that is kind of how I feel about today’s post. Haha! I had a blast and I couldn’t help but share all of my fun. PLUS, I didn’t take “any” pictures of me in any of my outfits, so I am running out of fashion photos. LolThis was the view from my balcony! It was beautiful and looked like this every day. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and NO humidity in the air. We ate out under the stars one night and it occurred to me that there wasn’t any dew falling. This place is incredibly dry.
When we got to our room I had to take a picture. This thing was huge! I’ll not bore you with the bathroom pictures, but it was huge like this also.
Just like when you go on a cruise, we had the cute little cloth statues on our bed every night. This looked like Little White Riding Hood to me.
This was an adorable puppy.
I think that this was a giraffe, and I forgot to take a picture of the elephant. It was adorable also. As soon as we unpacked, we headed to the beach. The sun is really strong there, even though the temperatures were not that hot. It was in the high 70’s and low 80’s while we were there, and it actually was pretty comfortable.
I brought my R+F Essentials sunscreen, which is an SPF of 30 for my body. My Soothe step 4 sunscreen, which is also an SPF of 30, for my face. And, I also brought my Essentials lip shield to keep our lips from burning while we were there. I lotioned up every day with these and I never got burned once. However, I couldn’t reach my back, so the first day there, I asked Joe to rub some on me.
This was the results! I should have known better and given him instructions about being skimpy, but I didn’t even think about it. I didn’t make that mistake again. Lol! The real issue was because we stayed in the pool with our backs to the sun for over 2 hours. The reflection of the sun off of the water, plus not reapplying the sunscreen ended up in both of us getting burned.
Thank goodness Rodan + Fields gave us goodie bags filled with all kinds of local artisan gifts, PLUS it contained Step 2 of the Soothe regimen. That product is a sensitive skin treatment lotion that relieves skin irritation and conditions dry, chapped skin. Also, it is fantastic for a sunburn. I had Joe rub this on me, but he wanted to use Aloe on himself. Results were: he peeled and was sore for 2 more days and I didn’t peel at all and was fine the next day. On the 3 day, he asked for me to rub Soothe on him. Lol! Men…will they ever learn to listen to us?
One of the best things about R+F is all of the friendships that you make on trips like this. This is Jill that I met last year on an R+F trip to Cancun. We had a blast last year and fun catching up this year.
Meet sweet Michele. I have been on a couple of R+F trips with Michele, but this was the first time that I had met her husband. We had a great time together.
Nicola and I met last year in Cancun also. We sat next to each other last year at a training and I couldn’t wait to meet up with her again this year. She is beautiful, sweet, and my Canadian friend. I get a lot of questions from my Canadian readers who ask if they can be my customer or join the business with me, and the answer is YES! There is a different website that you choose once you go to my website that allows you to order as a Canadian or an Australian.
This is Ashley and she and I met for the first time on this trip! She is so cute and funny, and I had a great time hearing about her 9-year-old daughter and her 4-year-old son.
Joe also made a few friends on this trip. He exchanged phone numbers with a couple of the gentlemen he met and they are already texting like mad. Lol!
Of course, the food was fantastic and we both ate waaaaay more than we meant to eat. I fasted yesterday for a couple of reasons. One, I had eaten too much while I was gone, and the second reason was that there was NO food in the house. Lol! Okay, it was mostly the second reason. Hahaha! This was my favorite dessert that we had while we were there. It was like a red velvet cake with homemade ice cream and syrup. It was amazing, and I think that Joe and I could have licked the plate. Lol!
I asked Joe to take a picture, so I was trying to move all of the stuff away from the plate. He thought that was funny, so this was the picture that he sent to me.
I can’t seem to escape shrimp with heads on them. Lol! When I went to New Orleans, this was the way that my shrimp was served every time. I need to start remembering to ask if I can have my shrimp headless.
The welcome reception had a theme of Tropical Disco. There were several of these disco balls hanging from Palm trees at the party.
Everyone was dressed so brightly and colorful. Some of the men were decked out in short suits in bright colors with a palm tree print. Yes, they were in their 20’s and 30’s. Lol!
My room was the one right above the Rodan on the sign. Lol!
Look how gorgeous the trees were.
The next day, this goodie bag was delivered to our room. This was the invitation to attend the Pinata pool party that was from 1:00 to 5:00 that afternoon. R+F thinks of everything, even to supplying us with sunglasses.
And, of course, the sunglasses had to be brand with Rodan + Fields! Lol!
Didn’t Joe and I look cute with our glasses on? I told him that he got the orange ones, but he reminded me that I was the Big Orange fan from Tennessee. He won, and I took the orange ones. But, come on gurls, you know that I am stealing the black pair too. Lol!
They served a wicked good Pina Colada that Joe swore was a virgin drink. I didn’t care either way, just as long as it tasted good and was cold. Don’t judge me because I was wearing earrings in the pool. Haha! My earrings were sedate compared to some of the earrings that I saw this weekend.
My friend, Michele, and I took turns with the Pinata pool float. It was a cute prop for pictures and I loved the bright colors.
Rodan + Fields took us to a canyon for our farewell party. They had warned that the night air could be cool, so I told Joe to wear his long pants and a long sleeve shirt. I love this picture of him, he was a sharped dressed man with his Joe Cool sunglasses!!!
The theme for the farewell party was Desert Cocktail. This was the outfit that I decided to wear, and I was worried that I might get cold since I didn’t have any sleeves. We were waiting to catch the bus before we left, so I asked Michele if she would take our picture.
In this picture, I was pinching him on the rear, so that is why he was making such a funny face. At first, he tried to act like nothing was going on, but then he got tickled and couldn’t help but start laughing. I was amazed at how R+F was able to put on a party in the middle of the desert. They had local dancers, fire performers, trapeze artists, stilt walkers, and they had a light works show. They also had some fire pits going for those who got cold, and guess who got cold?
If you said that Joe got cold, then you would be correct. Lol! I was smart and snuggled close, so I stayed good and warm. The wind was hitting him on the arm, so he kept moving our couch closer and closer to the fire. When the first bus showed up to start taking people back to the hotel, he was all for hopping on board. Lol!We had a farewell gift waiting for us in the room when we returned from the party. The women were given these cute Taco purses.
And, the men were given these RF cuff links. I told you, this company doesn’t leave any stone unturned. I admit, I loved being spoiled. The only thing that would have made it more fun would have been if “you” would have been here with me. A couple of years ago, if you had asked me, or any of the other ladies who were on this trip if we thought that we would have been in Los Cabo being treated like royalty, the answer would have been no. I only wanted good looking skin, the rest is as much a surprise to me as it is to you. Say yes to this opportunity, and let’s see where it might take you. If you only get good looking skin…then you are a winner!!!
