50 IS NOT OLD | A LONGER SKIRT FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I am so glad that it is finally Hump Day! I woke up yesterday morning and thought to myself, “oh boy, it is Hump Day!” Then I found out it was only Tuesday and it seemed like the day took forever to end. I am not sure how I got off on my days but I hate it when that happens. The week takes forever to end when you have a “brain fart.” In case you are wondering, that means a temporary mental lapse or failure to reason correctly. Lol!!!50 IS NOT OLD | A LONGER SKIRT FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40Yesterday, Joe was so sweet and such a pain in the keister all in the same day. He had a gentlemen come to the house and wash our vehicles for us, inside and out. That was wonderful because mine was covered in salt from the last snow we had. That was the sweet part. Since my vehicle was being washed that meant that I didn’t have anything to ride and I was stuck at work. Joe called and said he was going to pick something up for lunch, did I want something. YES! After about 3 hours, I figured out that I wasn’t getting food. So, I asked my son to pick me up something when he went down the road. Sure, I’ll do it when I get back. Guess who was STARVING by the time I got home??? Luckily I did have an apple in my tote. Do you think they are trying to put me on a diet? Lol! 50 IS NOT OLD | A LONGER SKIRT FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I think that my sister made a good decision when she told me to keep this sweater. This bell sleeve cutie was in my Trunk Club shipment which I got in February. I wasn’t sure if I should keep this or not but my sister saw a picture and gave me the thumbs up. I am so glad that she did because I love the pretty blue color and even though it is spring, I need the long sleeves to keep warm. Even though I just bought this top, it has already sold out and is no longer on the webpage. 😒

50 IS NOT OLD | A LONGER SKIRT FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40This pearl necklace is  62″ long and is called the Claire. The pearls are strung on a brown leather string. You wear it long like the Flapper days or you can double and maybe even triple this long necklace. The Mera seed pearl earrings and the Valerie pearl stretch bracelet are already sold out. It won’t be much longer until the new items are released. Whew! I’ll be glad when the new stuff finally is released. Until then, be sure to check on the Plundermania 20% where you will find LOTS of items at 20% off. Go to plunderdesign.com/taniastephens to place an order and be sure to pick the party with my name.50 IS NOT OLD | A LONGER SKIRT FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40Since I have been styling dresses that are shorter the last two days, (here and here) I decided to wear a maxi skirt today. Keeping with the spring theme I added a white long skirt that I have had for years. I bought this a while back at Cato Fashions and I have this in light blue as well. I like long skirts because they hide the legs and you don’t have to shave them. Lol! Petite ladies might have an issue with the longer skirts so I linked to a midi length also. 50 IS NOT OLD | A LONGER SKIRT FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I hope you are enjoying my dress series. Wednesday is because it’s in the middle of the week. So we are over the hump and it’s downhill to the weekend. Also look for the video commercial with the camel for Geico insurance.

Lol! That is so funny. It means that since Wednesday is the middle of the week we are now over the hump.

Goodness, with those two stooges there is no way that I can lose my sense of humor. Lol!

  2. The dress series is lovely! I like to wear dresses and skirts, and have often wished that you did more on them. Thank you…

That is funny, Mary. I guess that I think most of my readers are retired and don’t wear dresses. I will try to wear them more often.

  3. LOVE this outfit! I liked the sweater the last time you wore it, but I really like it paired with the white skirt. I’m digging the dress series. I wear dresses to work a lot so thank you for doing one!

  4. I love the outfit but Amy thinking the purse and shoes would be too big of a contrast for me to pull off. The sweater is a great color on you. And I a man loving the dresses.

  5. I just looked back on your blog about Beth Moore’s The Quest. I loved your summary of her study. Amen!
I love your voice, I feel your are right in my living room chatting with me. I like all your outfits;but, I think you look particularly gorgeous in white pants and a shorter fitted shirt with or without a cardigan. That’s not my style, but I love those outfits on you!
I look forward to your next post.

  6. I love the skirt and the sweater. The ice blue works! So glad it’s wednesday as well! I’m tired! Enjoy the rest of your week! Best…Kathy

  7. Really like the sweater and skirt together. That sweater is just beautiful with your eyes. This outfitfeels so light and springy. I think the shoes and handbag weigh it down and contrast too much. A white strappy sandal and light colored bag might be a better choice to continue the airy feel of this look. I am really enjoying dress week.

I wasn’t happy with the purse color either but I do like to show some different looks. I ended up carrying something lighter in color once I left the house.

  8. Very pretty. I would not have thought of wearing the royal blue shoes and purse. It looks great! FYI, I thought yesterday was Wednesday as well. Ugh. As always, I love your blog!

  9. I love the entire outfit! Where did you find that purse, it’s beautiful (my favorite color)?

  10. Love your outfit, it screams Spring!!!
Surprised the skirt came from Cato.
Couldn’t find your video for plunder.
    Have a wonderful hump day!!!

Enjoying the dress series, especially today’s outfit, but not the shoes and purse with it. The color is too heavy, but the sweater, skirt and jewelry, spot on! We are on spring break here, so I really want the week to go sloooowly!!

Beautuiful classy outfit -for a wedding or for Easter! I’m sorry you missed out on lunch! Make him take you to your favorite place today. Love the dress series!

  13. Liked your outfit, perfect for Easter weekend. Just wondering if you have issues with the flared sleeves getting in the way. I had an outfit when I was younger, when I ate it would drop into my food. Maybe just my misfortune???

  14. Love this outfit! I would not have been able to make it through the afternoon on one apple!!

  15. This week has seemed a month long! I don’t know what’s up with me but I just feel off somehow?! I’ve been praying about guarding my tongue and living for Jesus and I disappoint myself daily!
