You’re In Good Hands With Jesus
The other day, I mentioned in my daily email that Joe and I wanted to go to a particular restaurant while we were in Mexico. The chef was the first Mexican to receive a Michelin Star, and I was excited to go since I had watched a television show where they talked a lot about becoming a Michelin Star Chef.
I called the concierge at the hotel and inquired about making a reservation for Saturday night. They informed me that I had to come to their office in person, sign papers, and pay for the pre-set meal.
I went to the office and filled out the paperwork, but then we had to walk to the front desk for them to take my payment. The hotel sends a bus to the airport to pick up new arrivals, and one had just offloaded, so the desk was swamped with people checking in. We stood there for a few moments, and then the lady told me to wait while she went to look for someone to help us.
In just a minute, she told me to follow her next door, and we went into a different office. Then she motioned for me to go up to the gentleman’s desk in front of me and said, “you’ll be in good hands with Jesus.”
I smiled at her, thanked her, and thought, “you are so right!” Jesus is a popular name in Mexico; however, it is usually pronounced “hay-SOOS,” not Jesus. For the rest of our trip, I kept hearing her words over and over again. When I would wake up in the middle of the night, her words kept coming to my mind.
You’re in good hands with Jesus! I knew this was meant to be shared today on the blog, but I struggled with discussing what it meant.
Then, I remembered that Jesus is The Good Shepherd, and I am in His flock. He looks after His flock and protects them from harm. Those who follow Him can trust that He will provide for their needs and keep them safe from harm.
John 10:14
14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—
Isaiah 40:11
11 He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
Sheep need protection from wild animals. They need food, water, and someone to tend to them and show them the correct paths. If one wanders off, then a Good Shepherd will leave the rest of the flock and look for the missing one to bring it back to safety.
Wild animals might not be what you need Jesus to protect you from. You may need protection for your marriage, finances, health, business, friends, family, etc. He is there for us when we are struggling, and He is there for us when we are sailing on calm waters.
Hebrews 11:1
11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1 was my verse for the day. It is an excellent reminder that faith is not just a belief in God but an active and dynamic trust in his promises and plan for our lives. It calls us to have confidence and assurance in God, even when we can’t see the results of our faith immediately.
So, today, remember… you’ll be in good hands with Jesus!
Praying for you and Joe to be able to fly home without any difficulty.
Thank you for this word, Tania. It really spoke to my heart today.

Hoping you have a safe trip home. I think my poor tired brain is confusing two different tv commercials, but I keep thinking “you’re in good hands with Michelin” for some reason.
You’re thinking about the Allstate commercial. Lol!
Thank you for sharing your faith as well as your fashion advice through your post. So many are too afraid! If we do not stand in what we believe, we will fall for anything and so many have.
Praying for a safe trip home. This reminds me of our last trip to the Dominican Republic. We were not aware that we have to find out papers in order to fly. This was a long process with no help from our airline. Yes we missed our only flight for the day. Missing our first day at our resort. It was all was good once we got there.
I Do care, and I am praying you get home safely and without any trouble. Thank you so much for meditating on what God is showing you and then relaying it to us. Such a blessing. Thank you.
