WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND

I have this by Loverboy song playing in my head right now, “I’m working for the weekend!” Yep, that’s exactly how I feel. I have nothing to do this weekend except to finish the woman’s club reports that I started. I have picked the winners so I now have to write the reports. I had meant to finish them last weekend but I got a call from my son asking if I could babysit. Guess which one won out! Haha! Miss Emersyn came over for the afternoon, she is such a cutie.
Her favorite thing to do at my house is to take a bath. I have a garden tub and she thinks that is just so much fun. She has to have a slew of toys to play with in the tub. She hardly stays in over 10 – 15 minutes and then it is time to get out and go on to something else. A trip to McDonald’s is usually also on the agenda even though she hardly eats anything. The only thing she ate from her meal last Saturday was the apple slices. Beckley and Lucy Lu were happy to help her out with a few french fries. Lol! Then she had to show me her watch which is a phone. It is made just for children and it is programmed with only about 3 or 4 names. She presses one button and it says, “do you want to call Mommy?” she can either hit call or scroll. I am programmed in there so we had a blast with her calling me and only standing three feet away. Lol! Did, I mention that she is only three?I love this top!!! I am just obsessed!!! I will like it, even more, when I get “my tan on.” This is a perfect example of a sweatshirt that is stylish. Unique details are what makes this sweatshirt stand out. I was describing the shirt to my sister because her daughter loves to sew. I told her that the sleeves just had slits all up over it. She kept thinking that they were serged so they wouldn’t ravel but I told her that was the whole point. This shirt is supposed to be distressed. Did you really think they were going to stop with distressing jeans? I bought this at a local boutique in town called Trendy Threads. She told me that she always knows when I put something on the blog because her email starts dinging. I messaged her last night because I know she has this top is stock, I just saw it yesterday, but it isn’t on her site. Message or call her and tell her I sent you. Lol! BTW, it also comes in a Taupe color. This is a statement necklace if I have ever seen one. It is so pretty! This is called Casper. I love the necklace but I am not sure I liked it with the shirt. It just matches the color but it might have been just a touch over the top. Lol! I think that is why I wore it but now in looking at the pictures, I am questioning that decision. I already have in mind how I am going to wear the top the next time. Lol! The green bracelet is called the Waverly and it matched the Casper necklace. The pink bangle is called the Broedrick. In this picture, the bracelet appears clear or white but in some of the others, you can see that it is pink. I love this old thing even though it is probably about three years old. I like the pattern, I like the tassel, and I like the sides that zip up. However, the handles are starting to crack and I am not thrilled about that. I think my jeans are a pair that I bought at Marshalls call Earl Jeans. I like this brand, it is inexpensive and they fit nicely. What more could you ask for? Haha

I think the only thing left to talk about is my booties. These have become my “go to” boot. They are by Old Navy and they are really comfortable. I know that some of you have commented before about their shoes and wondering about the comfort level. I can’t speak for all the shoes but this pair has been wonderful. I wear them a lot to work and even though I don’t do a huge amount of walking, I do walk some. I bet I wear this sweatshirt a lot this coming year. It is lightweight so I can even see me wearing this with shorts. What do you think?
