50 IS NOT OLD | WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A PRINTAnother week has come and gone. I am sitting here with “another one bites the dust” playing in my head. Lol! It is crazy how fast time flies when you get over the age of 30. Before you turn 30 it seems like everything takes forever. Are you ever going to turn 16 and be able to drive? Are you ever going to be 18 and be legally able to be on your own? Will you ever find that special someone? My maternal clock is ticking, when will I ever have a baby? It is always when, when, when.50 IS NOT OLD | WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A PRINTNow it seems like it is slow down, slow down, slow down. My babies are getting too big. I am not ready to retire. How can I be old enough to be a grandmother? AARP applications in the mail. Senior citizen discount coffee at McDonald’s. WHAT??? When did this happen? Where did the years between 30 and 50 go? Did I fall into a deep sleep or what? It seems like you really do blink your eye and 20 years slips away. Well, great! Now, I have a Jimmy Buffet song stuck in my head. 50 IS NOT OLD | WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A PRINTI really like tops that have a print on them. Don’t get me wrong, I have PLENTY of solid tops, but a print will give you ideas on things to wear with it. You can pick and choose different colors out of the print to highlight with your accessories. This particular top from Van Heusen doesn’t have a lot of colors to choose from but there are still at least 4. I can see bits of gray, white, red, and black in this top. I decided to highlight the white through my jewelry and the black with my pants and shoes.

50 IS NOT OLD | WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A PRINTThe earrings I have on are from the new Fall supplement catalog. They are the Elliott and they are tiny little seed pearls. They are set in an antique gold and they are in a knot design. The bracelets I have on are the Evie (on an elastic cord) and the Lucinda. The Lucinda matches the Rosemary necklace that I wore here. I almost forgot the Lottie necklace. I love this multi-strand necklace, it is quite a statement. 50 IS NOT OLD | WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A PRINTThis silver and pearl dangle bracelet is also in the new catalog. It is the Flora and even though this looks really heavy, it is quite light. I just got in an order of the new fall jewelry and you are going to love it. I like everything I got. In fact, I think I like the fall items better than I did the spring items. So far my favorite item has been the Ennis bracelet. You just wait until you see this thing, it is gorgeous!!!50 IS NOT OLD | WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A PRINTThese gladiator sandals are super cute. They have block heels but it is the straps that make them adorable. I like sandals that zip up the back, it makes them so much easier to put on. This pair is by Sole Society and I got them at the overstock store in town last year.

50 IS NOT OLD | WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A PRINTYou know that I love my Pixie pants from Old Navy. I had someone comment on a Pinterest post, “Could someone tell me what a pixie pant is?” I don’t think she lives in the US and she must not have ever have read my blog. This pair is the type that has spandex in them so I will opt for a size larger than I normally wear. If the pair I pick out is the canvas style then I get my normal size. 50 IS NOT OLD | WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A PRINTI have had several people email me asking if I would like to become a Rodan + Fields consultant. They tell me that they LOVE my blog and think I could do really well in the business. WHAT??? Am I not making it pretty plain that I “AM” a Rodan + Fields consultant? Lol! Do I need to post more often??? Just kidding, I know you tolerate my obsession and you don’t want to see any more than my one paragraph daily. My mom called me this morning and we talked about a few things. Then she mentioned that she needed to order the Hydration Serum. She said this, “Now I know why you left me a bottle of that Hydration Serum. You knew that if I ever started using it that I would want more.” I laughed and laughed, but then I told her, “You don’t even order from me!” She orders from my sister. Lol! Your welcome, sister. If you are already using a regimen and are lookng to try the Hydration serum, or vice-versa, order it as the combo so that you can get the FREE mini-regimen. This offer will expire on the 28th! Hi Tania! Thank you for the beautiful necklace! I look forward to wearing it with the earrings I bought from Plunder – not sure if you planned it or if it was coincidence that they match but they go together perfectly! Your blog is a bright spot in my day. I am chronically ill and fashion is a hobby of mine. It helps me mentally to dress up when I do go out. Thank you!
    Chris

    1. Chris, I am so glad that you liked what I sent you. It was by accident but that is part of the wonderful thing about Plunder, so many of their items will mix and match. I love that you understand that our mental state does affect the rest of our body.

Great outfit, I love print shirts as you can mix and match pants, skirts and JEWELRY!! I love wearing heels, like yours, but my back, hips and knees are not happy, they creak and swell when I try, not a pretty site. LOL Hope you have a great weekend!!

I love everything about this outfit!

  5. Hi Tania! My mom used to tell me when I was younger that the older you get the faster time goes. Thought at the time that it was a silly statement because time was the same for everyone. Now that I’m in my sixties I get it. Monday seems to be followed by Friday! Lol.

I guess we don’t use the term pixie pants here in Canada because I haven’t heard this before. Are they the same as ankle pants?

    Take care!

I hear ya. I turned 55 (a speed limit) yesterday and I think…How did that happen so quickly? You can’t even get good life insurance at 55…UGH!!! You know what? I feel great and not in terrible shape. I’m going to praise God everyday for all of my moments on this earth and take years as they come with thanksgiving. Your top is very pretty and so are you! Have a great weekend!

  7. Cute print! I love print tops also to mix it up! For an alternative to the pixie pant, you have to try the Van Heusen pants. I have about 5 pairs , including crop pants, and wear them to work, after work .. everywhere. Love your taste!

I am loving the PINK in that top! Gorgeous! Thanks for all of the inspiration.

  9. Summer has not left Michigan!!! 91 yesterday and maybe 93 today. Love this outfit and love, love my Pixie pants. My favorite are my red pair. I get many compliments and I credit you on how to put outfits together that look good and also comfortable. Have a great weekend.

  10. Love your blog! Thanks for all the hyperlinks!

  11. Hello! I have a question about Plunder? Can I order from them anytime or do you need to be hosting a party for me to place and order. I have went to link before and it said I was ordering with you but then wouldn’t let me….. Thanks!!

    1. Yes, you can order from them at any time. You go to http://www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and now they let you choose a party. It is so much easier. Just hit the shop button and a party drop down box will appear. Pick a party with my name and that is all you have to do. Thanks for asking.

  12. I feel like Summer has to start! But it s already gone! Awfull. I hate rain, cold, snow etc. Looking good Tania!

You are so right, Tania, about how quickly the time flies by after 30. It goes warp speed after 50! Those festive prints look great on you!
