Which Is Your Favorite: Corduroy Pants Or Jeans
Ever since I watched the first couple of seasons of Emily In Paris, I’ve been fascinated by the city. Maybe one day Joe and I will go there, but until then, I’ll just wear my Paris sweater and dream. Today, I decided to style it two ways, and I’m not sure which way I like the best. So, let me know in the comments which is your favorite: corduroy pants or jeans.
The Paris Sweater
Before we get to the different outfits, let’s talk about the Paris sweater. I could have worn this in my post yesterday, which was on Tips for Wearing Neutrals When You’re Over 50.

This Paris Sweater is warm, cozy, soft, and adorable. I love how the lettering is in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. The sweater is a great neutral that can be worn with anything. It is slightly oversized, which is precisely what I wanted. I’m wearing my usual medium size, which is loose but not baggy.
Corduroy Pants and Blazer

The Flare Trousers in Corduroy are a gorgeous sandy color. They give you the classic swish-swish sound as you walk, so you’ll not be sneaking up behind anyone. Lol! Flare jeans and trousers are universally flattering for most women since they balance their hips and shoulders. I feel these run a tiny bit on the large side, so size down if you’re between sizes.

The Rebecca Minkoff Suede & Leather Satchel has already sold out. I wanted to mention it since I’m carrying it in both outfits. I love her handbags since they are stylish and unique, plus of great quality. Here is a similar one if you’re interested.

I like having the option to elevate an outfit, so I ordered the matching Corduroy Fitted Blazer. The blazer looks great with the trousers but can be worn in many ways. I love elevating a casual, simple outfit with a blazer, and this one also looks great with jeans.

I’m wearing a size 10, which is the perfect size for me. I can wear a lightweight sweater with it without it being too tight.
Jeans and A Tweed Coat

I’m wearing the same Paris Sweater, but I think it looks completely different in this outfit.

If wide-leg jeans seem too overpowering for you, then you’ll like these High Rise Slim Jeans in Dark Wash. They are a classic style that will always be appropriate because they aren’t a trend. Skinny jeans may come and go, but slim leg jeans will be around for years to come. I’m wearing my usual size 29, and they fit perfectly.

Besides the Paris sweater, the Tweed Long Collarless Jacket might be my favorite item in this post. I love the length that covers your behind. It is a classic tweed fabric with gold buttons and a collarless neck. The jacket can be dressed up and down, and you’ll look like a million bucks every time you wear it.

I’m wearing a medium that buttons easily without pulling or tugging.

So…now’s the moment of truth. Which is your favorite: corduroy pants or jeans?

I like “Max” for your little visitor!
Loving the jacket! And the jeans, but I do have ribless corduroy pants. They are great for fall/winter- which surprised me!
Both outfits look great, but I do love that collarless tweed coat.
Your little bird friend is so cute! How about Percy, a short name for “persistent”?
That’s a cute and accurate name for him.
Courderoy! My fingers flew to the keyboard to order but they are sold out on my size🙁
I really like today’s scripture! While the corduroy pants outfit is my favorite, the Paris sweater looks good with the jeans as well.
Love it with the jeans! I don’t like how corduroy feels..it’s like fingernails on a chalkboard to my touch.🤣
YES, I went to PARIS last year 2 days after I retired. Make it a girls trip, the shopping is wonderful, unless your husband doesn’t mind waiting while you shop in CHANEL, DIOR AND LOUIS VUITTON! We stayed in a lovely hotel on the Rue De Rivoli, a 5 minute walk to the Louvre. Make sure to take a dinner cruise on the Seine, show at the Moulin Rouge, and lunch or dinner @ the Eiffel Tower. Take your granddaughter with you! I made the mistake of cramming too many museums in my visit and didn’t take time to sit in a cafe and enjoy just “being” in Paris. Hoping to go again next year. Kim
This sounds fabulous!
The jeans outfit such a classic look!
I love both corduroy and jeans but I do feel a little more dressed up in corduroy. Cute outfits.
Both outfits look wonderful on you! I prefer the sweater with the jeans, but I would suggest that you wear what makes you happy.
Loved the look in both outfits today. You make clothes look good and I love our taste.
