Which Is Your Favorite: Corduroy Pants Or Jeans
Ever since I watched the first couple of seasons of Emily In Paris, I’ve been fascinated by the city. Maybe one day Joe and I will go there, but until then, I’ll just wear my Paris sweater and dream. Today, I decided to style it two ways, and I’m not sure which way I like the best. So, let me know in the comments which is your favorite: corduroy pants or jeans.
The Paris Sweater
Before we get to the different outfits, let’s talk about the Paris sweater. I could have worn this in my post yesterday, which was on Tips for Wearing Neutrals When You’re Over 50.
This Paris Sweater is warm, cozy, soft, and adorable. I love how the lettering is in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. The sweater is a great neutral that can be worn with anything. It is slightly oversized, which is precisely what I wanted. I’m wearing my usual medium size, which is loose but not baggy.
Corduroy Pants and Blazer
The Flare Trousers in Corduroy are a gorgeous sandy color. They give you the classic swish-swish sound as you walk, so you’ll not be sneaking up behind anyone. Lol! Flare jeans and trousers are universally flattering for most women since they balance their hips and shoulders. I feel these run a tiny bit on the large side, so size down if you’re between sizes.
The Rebecca Minkoff Suede & Leather Satchel has already sold out. I wanted to mention it since I’m carrying it in both outfits. I love her handbags since they are stylish and unique, plus of great quality. Here is a similar one if you’re interested.
I like having the option to elevate an outfit, so I ordered the matching Corduroy Fitted Blazer. The blazer looks great with the trousers but can be worn in many ways. I love elevating a casual, simple outfit with a blazer, and this one also looks great with jeans.
I’m wearing a size 10, which is the perfect size for me. I can wear a lightweight sweater with it without it being too tight.
Jeans and A Tweed Coat
I’m wearing the same Paris Sweater, but I think it looks completely different in this outfit.
If wide-leg jeans seem too overpowering for you, then you’ll like these High Rise Slim Jeans in Dark Wash. They are a classic style that will always be appropriate because they aren’t a trend. Skinny jeans may come and go, but slim leg jeans will be around for years to come. I’m wearing my usual size 29, and they fit perfectly.
Besides the Paris sweater, the Tweed Long Collarless Jacket might be my favorite item in this post. I love the length that covers your behind. It is a classic tweed fabric with gold buttons and a collarless neck. The jacket can be dressed up and down, and you’ll look like a million bucks every time you wear it.
I’m wearing a medium that buttons easily without pulling or tugging.
So…now’s the moment of truth. Which is your favorite: corduroy pants or jeans?
Each time you share my posts on PINTEREST, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, AND FACEBOOK, it not only helps other ladies who might be style-challenged find my blog, but it also strengthens our community. Furthermore, I appreciate every one of you and consider you a friend.

Verse Of The Day
Matthew 6:34 (NIV)
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
I know this is random but can I ask where you got your outdoor rug? I love it.
It is one I bought last year from Walmart.
I’m a pass on the corduroy pieces. Not these particular pieces, just corduroy in general. Always reminds me of a lumberjack. But the jeans, sweater and long tweed jacket are great. I’m assuming (hoping) that I’m not the only one with personal quirks. LOL.
(I’ve been meaning to reply to your neutrals post. Those are your colors! You looked fantastic.)
Yes, I’ve been to Paris and I want to go back! It is beautiful and, when I was there, so, so clean!! The French people were………..not Southerners is a nice way to put it………..🤷♀️ My mama and I went together and I would love to go back with my husband. I must say that I ate enough duck l’orange to last a lifetime. Lol. The shopping is absolutely fabulous and quite expensive. I love your Paris sweater and have one in my cart already! I also love the tweed coat! Not a fan of the corduroy, though. Love the purse!
Feeding the birds in my yard is my new favorite hobby since I retired. I watch them from every window in the house and love it. I really enjoyed watching Emily in Paris. ❤️
Paris sweater with the jeans!
Hi Tania, I love all the clothes you show for Fall/Winter. I think that little bird pecking on your window is asking for seeds. They do that at my house too. They let me know the feeders are empty, and need to be filled again.🥰
Have a great weekend!

That’s cute, but I don’t have any feeders.
I like both on you but I love the look with the jeans and tweed coat! I’m personally not a fan of the corduroy suit but as separates I love the two pieces. I’ve never been to Paris but one of our trip ideas is to travel from Belgium to Paris tasting wines along the way.
I love the corduroy pant suit!
Love the sweet bird and agree with Tapper.
I went to Paris in 2000 and I bet it has not changed! Hope you and Joe can go soon!
I love corduroys during the cooler months. I think the texture adds a bit of interest. I wear womens petite and Talbots has them available every fall.
Tania, the corduroys and Paris sweater look great on you. I have several pair of corduroy pants and enjoy wearing them….especially my red ones around Christmas and Valentine’s Day. I haven’t been to Paris. However, my husband and I took a trip to Quebec City in Canada a few weeks ago and it was breathtakingly gorgeous. I know it is nothing like Paris but I did enjoy the French cuisines, coffee shops, bistros and exploring the city on the cobblestone streets. As far as a name for your little feathered friend…how about “Peepers”.

I’m loving both the corduroy and jeans with the Paris sweater — you look great in both outfits. The corduroy suit looks dressier, whereas the jeans, navy jacket and Paris sweater look like a Parisian outfit. I hope you and Joe can get to Paris/France some day. I went at 19 with friends and for my 40th birthday with my hubby — both trips were very memorable. You could do Paris in a week and then take in other regions of France on a longer trip. It’s definitely worth seeing.
