WHAT TO WEAR TO A WEDDING IN THE SUMMER
I thought that you gurls would like to see a place that means a lot of my family. It is our local golf course, and yes, Joe does seem to spend a lot of time on the golf course. Lol! But, that is not why we have a special bond with the facility. Joe helped to run the course for years, and we held many, many fundraisers to raise money to renovate the building. I have spent many hours decorating for events, selling tickets, and shopping for things the club might use. The club was recently turned over to the County, so Joe no longer has to do any of those activities…he gets to enjoy golfing now. Lol!
Today is also Friday with Friends. It is taking a twist today, because the blogger that I am partnering with today, actually does her fashion posts on Wednesdays. So, I am linking to that post for you, but you will also want to check out some of her other posts since they have to do with decor. And, if you know me at all, then you know that decoration is NOT something that you are going to get on my post. Lol! Rhoda is down to earth, and I love that she shares all of her ups and downs with her readers. Too many bloggers want everyone to think that life is all Unicorns and Rainbows, and that is not the truth at all. I know you will enjoy reading about this Southern Gem of a lady, so be sure to check out her blog by clicking here.

Now, for this beautiful striped dress. I was so afraid of how this dress would look when I placed my order. I am not thin, not in any stretch of the imagination, so I wasn’t sure how the fitted waist would look on me. I ordered my usual size 12 (in a dress I wear a bigger size than in tops), and it fit perfectly. The spaghetti straps are adjustable, so you can get the fit you need. This dress is 100% cotton, and it is perfect for the summer temperatures. Can’t you see this at a summer wedding? The dress is so affordable, under 50.00, and it has POCKETS! Lol! Here is the link to the dress.

I have had the Lenora necklace for a while, but I haven’t taken pictures with it before. This is a stunning necklace. It is also a huge necklace. I love how the pendant is different shapes, sizes, and gems, and how they all seem to form the shape of a Bee. The necklace is long, and it is adjustable from 34.5 to 38 inches.

The dress strikes me around he ankles, so I thought you would like to see the white and sisal espadrilles that I decided to wear. These are a pair that I have had for a while, but the ankle strap bothered me, so I didn’t wear them often. I found out that if I just wrapped the straps around my ankle, instead of putting them through the provided strap, then they didn’t bother me.

The place that is right behind me is where my son Joseph got married. We put up a couple of tents, and then we rode everyone out to the site on golf carts because it was a good walk from the clubhouse. And, it was also sprinkling that day, so the golf-carts came in handy. Then, we had the reception at the clubhouse, and it was one of the most fun night that I can remember. There was a ton of food, lots of free alcohol, and therefore… a lot of people dancing. Lol! It was quite a family affair since my sister-in-law helped with all of the floral arrangements, my brother-in-law took all of the wedding photos, my daughter-in-law did hair and makeup for all of the bridesmaids, and my older son’s father-in-law married them. It was beautiful!!! Since I am feeling nostalgic, I am going to share some of the photos with all of you.

Don’t forget to go by and say hello to Rhoda today. (Here) Also, I was thrilled that so many of you were interested in getting a sample of Rodan + Fields. I firmly believe that looking your best, in clothing and well as in your skincare/makeup, makes you feel better about yourself. I can help you camouflage your body (vest, blazers, etc.) but I can’t help you hide your face. That is the one thing that is always on display. But, I can help you with the best skincare (IMHO), and I want to get it in your hands. Comment if you would like a sample, I still have plenty to go around.
I do encourage you to please sign up for my daily emails so that you can click on the link and it will take you straight to the post. No more having to remember to type in the name, etc.

Tania, I love this dress- it looks lovely on you.
Would you please tell me where you purchased it? When I clicked on the link, it showed an error.
Thank you.
Tania, I love this dress. You look lovely in it.
Is it just me, or is there a problem with the link. When I clicked on the link, it showed up as invalid. 🙁
Rose, I think that the dress has already sold out and that is the issue.
Oh Tania, thank you sharing the gorgeous wedding photos and beautiful golf course! I love hearing about your family! That dress and kimono are so beautiful and flattering and perfect for weddings! Im with you tho, I’d be boiling in that if outside in our 102 heat!
Tania, love the striped dress! You look beautiful in everything! The wedding looked like so much fun! Angie
Love the dress! The kimono is pretty too, but the proportions are not working for you. I think you need something shorter and more fitted with the dress.
What beautiful photos, especially the one with the sparklers!!! Thank you for sharing your life, faith, fashion, and wonderful sense of humor with us!!!!! (“Remember how I said that I was always hot?!” LOL!!!!!)
I love that you share photos from your life with your family. You sure know how to have a good time! I just marvel at how you’ve accomplished so much with your time: working, volunteering, shopping, cooking, ironing Joe’s clothes (lol), spending time with your grandkids, blogging, having your own businesses, And you refer to your friend as the Energizer Bunny!
Lol!!! I have people tell me that she is rubbing off on me. Hahaha!
