WHAT IF IT IS ALL RIGGED

What If I know that there is probably not a person reading this blog that hasn’t asked the questions, “what if!” The possibilities for that question can apply to EVERYTHING in our life from the simplest thing to the most complicated issue that is going on.

I love listening to personal development books on my Audible app and training calls as I get dressed in the mornings. I think that it is important to grow personally and not get stagnant. Being comfortable is a wonderful thing but most of the time you can’t stay in that limbo area for very long before you start to move forward or backward.

The other morning I plugged into my training call which might comprise of tips and tricks or maybe mindset issues. That call was one that broke my heart and inspired me all at the same time. A trainer that I admire greatly started off by talking about her 3rd child who has just turned 3 years old. She talked about the problems that have arisen since her birth and the major surgery that happened in December to try to correct some of the issues. She spoke about her faith and how that has helped her family to pull together.

My heart ached for her and her family and at the same time, I saw how this situation had been used to bring them together. That is when she said that she came across this work by Rumi, a 13th-century Persian poet that said, ”

It’s rigged — everything, in your favor.
So there is nothing to worry about.

Is there some position you want,
some office, some acclaim, some award, some con, some lover,
maybe two, maybe three, maybe four — all at once,

maybe a relationship
with
God?

I know there is a gold mine in you, when you find it
the wonderment of the earth’s gifts
you will lay aside
as naturally as does
a child a
doll.

But, dear, how sweet you look to me kissing the unreal:
comfort, fulfill yourself,
in any way possible — do that until
you ache, until you ache,

then come to me
again.

So what if we, “Live life like everything is rigged in your favor”??? What if everything that happened to us, good or bad, we looked on as a “blessing”??? In Ecclesiastes 3: 1-15 the Bible (NKJV) tells us this:

Everything Has Its Time

3: 1 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born,
    And a time to die;
A time to plant,
    And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
    And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
    And a time to build up;
A time to weep,
    And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
    And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
    And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
    And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
    And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
    And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
    And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
    And a time to speak;
A time to love,
    And a time to hate;
A time of war,
    And a time of peace.

The God-Given Task

What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? 10 I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

12 I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, 13 and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.

14 I know that whatever God does,
It shall be forever.
Nothing can be added to it,
And nothing taken from it.
God does it, that men should fear before Him.
15 That which is has already been,
And what is to be has already been;
And God requires an account of what is past.

I don’t know the plans He has for me! YOU don’t know the plans He has for you! But, I find great comfort in knowing that they are HIS plans and they are #rigged in my favor. As you go through this week and encounter good or bad just remember to thank the Lord and count it up to #rigged!

Have A Blessed Day!
