50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT DOES HUMP DAY MEAN | FASHION OVER 40Last Wednesday I started off my blog post by saying, “Happy Hump Day” to everyone and I never even thought about that being something that some of you might not have heard about before. But, I realize that I have readers in countries other than the US and that is probably not a saying that they are used to hearing. Hump Day is Wednesday and Wednesday is in the middle of the week. Once Wednesday rolls around you are over the hump and the weekend will here before you know it. Lol! I hope that makes sense to everyone now.50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT DOES HUMP DAY MEAN | FASHION OVER 40Yesterday I got to drive 2 hours to visit my Thyroid doctor and have blood work pulled. I was enjoying the drive and just laughing to myself at driving 4 hours just to be checked and have blood pulled. I am sure to most of you that sounds crazy. But, for me, that is the normal driving I have to do to go to the doctor, go shopping, or go to a really nice restaurant to eat. On the plus side, I did get to run into Old Navy for about 45 minutes and get a boatload of items. lol! I didn’t try anything on in the store so I am crossing my fingers that things will fit. If not, then I guess I will get to make another long drive in a week or so. Lol!!!50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT DOES HUMP DAY MEAN | FASHION OVER 40I get in these moods where I wear the same type clothing for several days and it looks like purple is going to be my “thang” for a couple of days. I already wore purple in yesterday’s blog post and here I have a different shade on today. I think this color is Orchid but it really doesn’t matter what we call it. This is a sleeveless tank top with a high low shirttail hemline. This was a LOGO by Lori Goldstein and I bought it last year. I love tops like this since you can wear them in layers so they work for summer all the way into the fall and winter. Pay no attention to the colors of the tops below, they all come in the orchid color.

50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT DOES HUMP DAY MEAN | FASHION OVER 40These jeans were purchased at a local boutique last summer. They were by a brand called Sneak Peek. This is an example of how you can take a pair of pants that you consider too short and make them into cuffed crop pants. I love the fringed hem of these pants but I was not crazy about the length of them. They just feel too short but when I wear them like this, I love the look. This is super cute and looks like I knew what I was doing. Lol!!!

50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT DOES HUMP DAY MEAN | FASHION OVER 40It can still be quite nippy in the mornings so I love throwing on a long sleeve cardigan to keep me warm. If it is cold then I keep the sleeves down but as the day warms up I will push the sleeves up. Wearing a 3/4 sleeve will help you to look thinner also, just don’t ask me why. I am sure there are lots of scientific explanations but I don’t really care why as long as it works. Lol! This is an old sweater that I bought from Old Navy ages ago. I spruced up the look for spring by adding the springy infinity scarf that I found at Cato Fashions. Of course, it is no longer on their website, surprise, surprise. But, with a scarf accessory, you can find them at a lot of stores for very little money.

50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT DOES HUMP DAY MEAN | FASHION OVER 40Whew! Getting tonight’s blog post was not an easy task. The internet went down and because of a fire at a transformer. I’ll tell you more about all that ended up transpiring on Thursday’s post.

Did you see my post about being BOLD that I did on Saturday? If not, then you need to make sure that you read that. Did you see the blog post that I did on  Shapeez shapewear that I did yesterday? If you read the comments from that post you will see that BOLD was used over and over again. My sister even told me that she would not have had the courage to have posted pictures of her showing her bumps or bulges. Here is the deal, I am not thrilled to show pictures like that either but I really want to share and help women to look better and feel better about themselves. That is one reason that I love sharing Rodan + Fields with all of you. The products make you look and feel better about yourself. But, the business opportunity is what I truly, truly want you to consider. I do not like to talk about money. But, I will say that if you are willing to give this business at least 5 years that you will be amazed at what you can accomplish. It is still under the 2-year mark for me and I want so badly to help others find the extra income that they need. When I started I only wanted to make enough to pay for the products that I wanted to buy. Then, I decided to see if I could make enough to pay for a car. Now, I have my sites set even higher and when I reach that goal, I will set another one. The investment is low but the benefits are only as small as your imagination. Remember, I keep it real for you gurls!!! Check out the enrollment kits (here) and then email me. We will set up a time to talk and see which is the best way for you to join.

I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.
