Summer is here in full swing, and that means that our plants are blooming, the days are longer, and the sun is hot! Summer is my favorite season, but staying cool can be a challenge. Shorts are perfect to help you stay cool in the summer, and you can also get some much needed Vitamin D at the same time.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a v-neck terracotta sweater top and a pair of floral shorts from Loft Sienna has been a color that I have gravitated toward this spring and summer. I love the terracotta look, and I think that it goes well with most complexions. I especially like that this will be a color that I can wear on into the fall of the year with jeans. The deep red-brown color is a neutral color, but it has a way of grabbing your attention. I love wearing this color with blues, yellows, blacks, browns, and creams.

This sleek double V sweater tank from Loft is modern and stylish. The sweater is softly fitted, and it is relaxed and comfortable while wearing. It hits right at the waist, so it doesn’t call attention to your hips. I love the loosely woven knit of the sweater and how the pattern flows toward the middle at the hem. The shoulder straps are plenty wide to accommodate most bras, so you don’t have to struggle with a strapless bra in this top. I am wearing a size medium, and I think that it fits me perfectly. I’ll link to a few more sweaters below that I think you will also like.

These shorts will be so versatile since you can wear them with almost any color. I love wearing shorts in the summer of all lengths; this pair has a 4″ inseam, but I’ll link to some below with a longer inseam for you. I am wearing my usual size 10 in these shorts, and they fit me great.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a terracotta sweater tank top and a beaded bracelet set from Loft This mixed bead stretch bracelet set is so pretty. It doesn’t photograph well, but the colors are really nice. There are blue, green, yellow, orange, and cream colors, as well as silver and gold beads. The added tassel and small drop pendant give it even more visual interest. These are all individual bracelets, so you can choose to wear them all, or only one.

It doesn’t matter if you are gardening, or just relaxing on your porch, you will find lots of gorgeous clothing from Loft to suit your needs.

By the way, I have got to draw attention to this gorgeous fern that I have managed to keep alive this summer. Lol!

I love this outfit on you. I don’t normally wear prints on my bottoms. You looked so great I went to look at shorts and they are sold out.

I love these shorts! The colors are great and go with so many things! I’d love to see colorful longer “shorts” that don’t show quite so much leg-mine aren’t quite what they used to be! Happy 4th ????????????????

  5. Love your outfit & the colors. It looks great on you.

  6. I’ve found LOFT clothes to be very well made and when bought on sale quite affordable. The garments stay TTS and are easy care. As for comfort in our 90° weather here, I prefer longer pants in the crop variety because my thighs stick together and to the leather seats in my car and sometimes it’s so hot it burns. Also our motorhome seats are really itchy and abrasive. As for tops I love your sweater but I’d die in this heat. I prefer longer thin tops of the pop over variety with a bit of sleeve because I don’t like my upper arm flab to show.

  7. Hi Tania. Love your blog and look forward to it every day. Just FYI, I couldn’t get your page to completely load today. Might be my network. Just letting you know
