WEARING PINK AND BLUE TOGETHER
So, I traveled yesterday back to my hometown in Tennessee. I feel like me and Willie Nelson sure have a lot in common. I think that I may change the name of my blog to, “On The Road Again.” I think that Joe is about ready to put an ad in the paper looking for a new wife. I can see it now…”looking for a wife substitute. Must stay at home. Must feed cats and dogs. Must wait on husband hand and foot.” If any of you want to apply, I’ll give you his email address. Lol!
This post is going to be shorter than normal. It is 10:30 and we just walked in the door from going out to dinner. I seem to be in a maxi dress kind of mood this week. This is the third maxi dress that I have styled this week, so let me know if you are getting sick of them. I love this light pink faux wrap dress. The faux wrap style is so flattering, even for someone like me who carries most of their weight in their middle section. I love the different layers of the dress because it creates some interest. It is the spaghetti strap style, so that is why I have on a cardigan. It does have a deep v-neck, but you can add a camisole to have more coverage. I am wearing a size large, and it fits me perfectly. Here is the link to the dress.
I love this U+Me necklace that I just bought. It reminded me of the shirts that I saw in New Orleans that read, “there is not me without you.” This is the Audrey necklace and it is from 19 to 22 inches long.
I am wearing a mixture of two different bracelet set. The Rachel and the Stacia bracelets. Each of these come with four bracelets, so I wear a couple of each set.
The cream marbled pattern of the Luna earrings is encased in a thin gold wire. These will match almost anything, and they will be great to wear this summer. They are a 2.5″ drop, so not too big or too small.
I am wearing a pair of Michael Kors t-strap zip sandals in nude. I love Michael Kors shoes; they are super comfortable! I added the higher heel shoe, since the dress is fairly long, and these shoes keep the dress from dragging on the ground.
I love wearing cardigans. I love them in the fall and winter, and I love them in the spring and summer. I could have said that I like wearing them all year round, but what would have been the fun in that. Lol! This cardigan is long sleeved, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t wear the cardigan in the summer months. You can scrunch the sleeves up in the summer, to keep you cool. But, you can stretch a short sleeve cardigan sleeves in order to keep you warm. Lol! Here is the link to the sweater.
I meant to do a little online shopping for you gurls since there are a ton of Memorial Sales going on right now. But, I didn’t have time since I went out to eat with the grandbabies.
I do encourage you to please sign up for my daily emails so that you can click on the link and it will take you straight to the post. No more having to remember to type in the name, etc.

Tania – you make me so happy to be 50 and a similar shape to yourself. I was directed here through Jo-Lynne (and I love her) and am so glad! 🙂 Beautiful dress and colors – very flattering on you.
Welcome, Joanne! I love Jo-Lynne and I can’t wait to meet her in person one day.
I love this maxi dress and cardigan!! It looks fabulous on you! I am going to outdoor summer wedding the end of August in Boulder and this look is perfect. I’m 5’8….how tall are you? I don’t want to see my ankles. 😉
Kristi, I am 5’6″ tall. The way the dress is made, it wouldn’t look bad to see some ankle. But, I am wearing a platform that is at least 2 inches tall.
Oh you lucky girl traveling again to be w your parents and grandkids! Enjoy every moment! And I really love that beautiful feminine dress and might have to buy it since I just lost most of my dressy clothes on the cruise. You you gorgeous and like you’re going to a wedding or party.
I do think that I am lucky to be able to visit with my parents and grandkids. I am so sorry to hear that you lost your dressy clothing.
Love your emails!! My parents grew up in Allens, close to Livingston. Then later moved to Livingston! My grandfather was the first game warden, in the area. His name was Vess Maynord. Your parents may remember him. Loved visiting Standing Stone Park.
Oh my, it is such a small world. I’ll ask my parents and see if they can remember him. Livingston is a wonderful small town.
Thanks for the close ups of the jewelry. So often I wanted to see what it looked like. The catalog really didn’t do them justice.
I love having Courtney take my photos for me. She can capture up close photos so much better than me and my tripod.
so cute and summery!!
I agree, Mary. I think that this look would be great to wear to a baby shower.
