HOW TO WEAR A WHITE DENIM JACKET
I work daily on self-development. I am really new in this arena and I have been shocked at the number of books that are available on this subject. Evidently, everyone in the world must need help because there is a book out there for everything. Just for fun, I went to Amazon and typed in self-development books and over 200,000 came up!!! ? When I narrowed down the search to women, then it went down to around 10,000. That just goes to show you that MEN need a LOT more help than we do. Lol!!!
I think I could sit and read, or listen, to these books all day long. I find myself nodding and agreeing with a lot of their ideas and wondering why in the world I didn’t already know that. The problem that I face, and I bet most people face, is the putting into practice. The truth is that while I am sitting there agreeing that doesn’t mean that I am retaining. I hear the info and most of it is forgotten by the time I get three pages further. Did you know that it is said that people will not remember 1/2 of what you told them within 24 hours and within 48 hours that number is down to only about 1/4? I bet that you can’t tell me what my blog talked about yesterday without looking back. I even had to sit back and think really hard to remember and I am the one who wrote it. Lol!
It is time for casual Friday. This medallion print top from Talbots is all about comfort. It is a stretch knit so it moves with you and doesn’t pull and tug. I like that it has a collar so that it is a little dressier looking than a t-shirt but it is just as comfortable. I bought this on the clearance rack last year because it is 3/4 sleeve and I thought I could wear this shirt year around. You can look at this post from last April when I wore the top without a jacket. We talk a lot on this blog about classic color combinations and red, white, and blue have to be close to the top of that list.

I totally understand. I have AADD (adult attention deficit disorder).LOL. I read something, then a few seconds later I can’t remember a thing.
I have several denim jackets, different colors and one is white. I also have a couple of denim vest I think they work well with a lot of different outfits.
I love my denim jackets except for my white one — it is too stiff and uncomfortable! So my suggestion is to make sure the fit and the feel are right!
I have a dark, medium, light denim…..white…grey…and fushia pink …..can you tell I love a good denim jacket! Also they have to be more fitted..and some stretch..don’t like boxy. …they look terrible on me! Lol
Feeling very smug because I remembered yesterday’s blog quite well.
Tania
I tried hard to remember what you talked about in your blog yesterday, all I can remember (without peeking) is that Joe didn’t get his breakfast cooked for him! What does that say about the self-development I need?
I don’t have a denim jacket but would like one. I would also wear a white one. Guess I need to go shopping…Your outfit today is very cute!
Cute jacket…this started a search for a white denim jacket. Good to hear that your jacket is easy care…if there is something to be spilled, splashed or dribbled, I am your girl.
Love everything about this look! I may have to invest in white jacket!
I only have a dark denim jacket but I’ve always admired the white jackets when I see someone wearing one. I think this outfit looks great! This is going to sound funny, but I finally tried on a pair of skinny jeans like the ones you wear and I felt almost claustrophobic. Weird, huh? Probably something that I’d get used to after wearing them a bit, but I returned them. I think I felt that if I had a hot flash I’d be stuck. Haha. Have a great weekend!
Your outfit is really cute and looks great without all the jewelry thanks to that lovely shirt. I would wear white denim, but when I clicked on the link of jackets the green one jumped out at me. Awhile back I started muting my colors down. But my funky outgoing side is screaming at me again. It’s been dreary winter need color. How would you wear the Green jacket?
Love denim jackets! Have several ones including white. Agree white should not intimidate and is easier to clean even if you need to use a bleach pen, no problem! Classy outfit and going from flats, to open toe booties to some gorgeous red or blue suede pumps you can change the outfit!
Love the outfit! I think the top would look good with white pants and a blue denim jacket. I have a couple of blue denim jackets and a white one and wear them a lot in the spring.
I wear my white denim jacket often in the summer because the restaurants and theatres are so cold! It is hot outside in Texas but sometimes too cold inside!
I always say that to get into the brain, it must first be in the hands, the body and the heart. You have to see, hear, touch, do something with the information AND care about it. Then, you’ve got it. I like the white denim but don’t wear it in winter. But I do wear light colored spring and summer tops under my blue denim jackets.
I have a few denim jackets in colors. I do have a white one and I reached for it almost daily last summer. I agree with you Tania..just throw it in the wash.
I have a denim jean jacket I rarely wear, because it is soo heavy. I need to find something lighter weight. I am loving this white one.. Love the colors on you, you look so great in red.
I own demon jackets in an array of colors. I get a lot of use out of them. I love the Talbots top! Very pretty indeed. I think your hair looks lovely longer! I can’t believe how much longe it is since you started the blog!!!!
I love my denim jackets and I do wear white. They bring so much to an outfit, but are not fussy like a blazer. I wear mine mostly in the warmer months because I am still always cold. Especially when everywhere you go the ac is up all the time.
Mary, that is exactly how I am. In fact, that is how I come to own this jacket. I was eating dinner and freezing in the restaurant so I walked next door and bought this jacket while I was waiting for my food. Lol!
Hmm. I’m not sure. Although I thought I might, but like Jo, white never stays clean with me and I don’t have time to wash it every time I wear it or constantly deal with stains. It’s seems versatile though.
I am amazed, Janet, that I don’t seem to get the jacket very dirty like I thought I would. Also, since the jackets are not terribly expensive I would be able to replace them every couple of years.
Yes, I have denim jackets in dark denim, lighter denim and white. I also wear denim vests to add interest to an outfit. I really like your red, white and blue outfit. I will wear something similar come Spring.
Mary, I love denim jackets but I am not much of a vest person. I am trying to broaden my horizons though so I might branch out.
I love denim jackets and have them in white, blue, beige and black. I found the blue and black ones in a stretch denim and they are so much more comfortable than the cotton only ones.
Angie, I think I need a black one.
Love that look on you. No, I would not wear it because I am like the Peanuts character Pig-Pen and always seem to spill something on my clothes or lean against something grubby! In fact I dont wear white at all?
I have meaning to tell you how much I love your hair☺
Jo. I feel you. I am a Messy Bessy and remember that I work in a lumber company so I get dingy and dirty a lot. However, I have washed this jacket and it comes out clean.
