50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED SWEATERTODAY is the day!!! My sister’s newest novel, Hope In The Holler, is available today. You can not imagine how proud I am of her. Most people “dream” but very few actually have the fortitude to “try.” My sister told me that she had always wanted to be a writer. She attended classes and was part of a writer’s group. But, that was not going to make her a writer. Finally, she decided that she would rather try and fail then to never try at all. She said that she didn’t want to live with the “what if” hanging over her head.50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED SWEATERDo you remember having a dream as a child? I am not talking about the kind of dream where you marry Donnie Osmond or David Cassidy. Instead, I am talking about the dream where you became something or made something. Did you try to make the dream happen or did you say that it was impossible and settle for less? I can’t really say that I had a dream to do anything specific. I just remember wanting to become a wife and a mother. But, at the same time, I thought that I was supposed to “be” something. I always “felt” like I could do anything. I think that is because my parents instilled in all of their children that we were special and that we could be anything that we wanted. I don’t remember “blogger” ever being on my radar so if you are still searching for your dream, it is never too late. Just try!50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED SWEATERThat is my dose of morning inspiration. Lol! I swear that I am not a Pollyanna type personality, you gurls just bring it out in me. Haha! Let me start off by telling you that you are NOT going to be able to find this sweater anywhere online! I am sorry for those who like for me to wear things that I can link to, this one will have to be a similar post. You know that I keep a lot of my clothing items and wear them for years but you might not know that this sweater is the oldest item in my closet. This sweater has a special meaning to me and if you have been following my blog since the beginning then you might remember me wearing it here. I bought this sweater when I was still dating Joe and we have been married for over 31 years!!! I love the slouchy oversized look and the color block design. Funny how both of these are still in style today. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED SWEATERI decided to wear the Elliot earrings today for a couple of reasons. One, they are studs and I don’t have to worry about them hitting the cowl neck of the sweater. Second, they are set in antique gold so the darker color matched the BELIEVE necklace nicely. Go here to see other items by the same manufacturer of the BELIEVE necklace. Believe was my word for 2017 and this year’s word in 2018 is EMBRACE. I found a necklace that has the word Embrace but I am not a fan of the necklace. I would like something a little cuter. What do you think? The longer necklace with the leather and gold disks is the Rhiannon. Plunder just announced today the Valentine jewelry. That will be listed under the Specials tab. Be sure to check it out fast because red jewelry does not last long.50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED SWEATERI just couldn’t resist showing you all of my Alex and Ani bracelets. I LOVE them. Lol! I looked to see if they have an “embrace” bracelet but I struck out. ?50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED SWEATERThe light beige suede Dooney & Bourke handbag is one that I really like. But, it is hard to keep clean. This one doesn’t have the “feet” on the bottom of the purse and you can see that the edges are getting dirty. I have never heard of a way to clean suede that I thought would work and not stain the suede. Anyone???
50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED SWEATERBlack is very hard to photograph so that you can see any detail. So, you will just have to take my word for it that these are a pair of black velvet leggings. Velvet is a huge trend this year and you can find it everywhere. I am not sure if these are really velvet or if they are velour but they look alike. I bought these really early in the season at Old Navy.

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED SWEATERIt was a crazy busy day today with my R+F business. I was busy answering emails throughout the day. I love days when I am busy. When I was taking off my shoes Monday night I was appalled at the condition of my feet. I have told you several times that I have the Sahara desert for skin and the winter has really taken a toll on it. Then, I looked at my hands and they were moist and hydrated. The difference is that I used Active Hydration Serum on my hands. Every morning and night when I apply the serum to my face I also put one drop on my hands and rub it in. Here are the pictures:I applied the serum early that morning and this is after I got off work. Isn’t that crazy??? If you have not tried the serum then this month is a perfect time because Rodan + Fields announced a limited time offer of 20% off a regimen and active hydration bundle. These must be purchased as a bundle and not separately to get the savings. And, if you are like me and want the BEST deal possible, then you need to order this as a Preferred Customer. (PC) You will get another 10% off the purchase PLUS free shipping! Any new PC this month will have their enrollment fee reimbursed by me. I want EVERYONE to have the opportunity to try these products. They are AH-MAZING!!!! Go here to become a PC and then look under the featured tab for this bundle.

I had a sweater like that. I lover it.

  3. The before picture looks like a foot. Did you post the wrong pic? I love your outfit, leggings and oversized sweaters are the warmest outfits ever!

    1. The first picture is my foot. That is when I took off my shoe and noticed how dry I was. The other picture is my hand that has had the serum applied.

  4. I love this look Tania!. It is so comfy, warm and cozy yet still classy. I have a question, way off topic. I love your hair. How do you get it to stay so volumized ? is that a word – on the crown. Have a wonderful day.

    1. Thick and coarse hair, Donna. I tease it just a tiny bit and then spray it.

You look lovely today and I can’t believe that sweater is so old and looks brand new! Way to go keeping it! It’s your “falling in love w Joe sweater”! My hands are super dry too so I’m going to order that syrum!

    1. I still love the sweater as much as the day I bought it. Lol! You will love the serum. I use it morning and night on my face and hands.

  6. Do you think a Dry Cleaners could clean your purse? They will accept suede jackets where I live. They don’t actually clean them on site they send them off but when it gets to the point where you think the purse is looking too bad…. I would try a Dry Cleaners.

    Congratulations to your sister!

I love your outfit! Classy and sassy! I had a red oversized sweater and I loved it! Now I regret getting rid of it.

Although I’m older than you, Donny Asmond was my teenage crush too. Years later, George Strait became my man!

P.S. Will your sister’s book be available at Costco?

That sweater must have been knit by angels to look that good after 30ish years. Or do you have a magic closet? You look toasty warm and comfortable.
