WATERFALL STYLE CARDIGAN IS SLIMMING
I have started to think about Thanksgiving dinner and wondering what to cook. We don’t have a large family here in Virginia so it is almost like any other family dinner. My daughter is in Alaska and won’t be coming home and my son in Tennessee will be going to family dinners there. That really only leaves Joe’s sister’s family and my son’s family that lives next door. If EVERYONE showed up that would still only be 8 of us plus the baby.
My Energizer Bunny Friend’s family always takes their annual vacation over the Thanksgiving holidays. They travel to a beach somewhere and don’t have the “traditional” Thanksgiving that most of us think of. I admit that Joe and I have thought about doing that also. I just can’t shake the tradition though of cooking, overeating, being miserable, having a family squabble over something minor, and then laying down to sleep off the turkey. Besides, who am I kidding? Joe and I couldn’t bring ourselves to go anywhere for our anniversary so why would I ever think that we would go for a holiday? Lol!!!
I really love the cardigan by Bobeau. I bought this when I was in Alaska in July (here) and I am happy that it is finally chilly enough to wear it here. I like the cascading waterfall style of this sweater and the softness of the material. I don’t show you here (you can see in the post in July) but this sweater also has a one button closure at the neckline. I feel that this style of a cardigan is very slimming, that is why you see me wear them so often. It is either pick a clothing style like this or watch what I eat. Now, which do you think it is going to be???
Since I took the tassel off of the Lizzy necklace I just can’t stop wearing this. I just love the large ornate cross with the aurora borealis rhinestones. The tassel that comes attached hid the cross and you couldn’t see it very well. It is like a completely different necklace now. I am wearing a couple bling bracelets today. One of them if the Flynn and the other was a special that was offered last year. This is the time of the year when Plunder starts having a lot of specials and they sell out FAST! There is no way that I can order the items and get them on the blog before they sell out. Also, since a lot of the items sell out the same day that they announce them, I can’t even take a picture and get it on the blog. Black Friday will be this way!!! There will be specials announced all day long and they will sell out in a matter of hours. If you are interested in any of the specials they will be listed under the specials tab instead of necklace, bracelet, etc. The bracelet that I have on my right hand is the Ennis. It is a large hinged cuff that is perfect for fall and winter. To go shopping in Plunder you go to www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and then pick a party with my name in it.
If you have anyone special in your life you can’t go wrong by buying something from Kate Spade as a gift. I LOVE my Kate Spade purse that I bought with a gift certificate I won from my R+F upline. The bright blue is cheery and the purse is very roomy. It also came with a matching iPad cover which I use when we travel.
My distressed jeans are the Rockstar High Rise brand by Old Navy. Old Navy has a wide variety of jeans and there is something there for everyone. They carry petite and plus sizes and they also have jeans for men and children. The best part is that they are extremely affordable and that leaves extra money for more clothing. Lol! The navy peep-toe ankle boots are by Marc Fisher. I bought this pair last year I think and I am still liking them. Notice that I do NOT have any socks on with them. Hahaha! These are on sale for over 1/2 off and they come in several different colors. However, the sizes are limited so you better hurry if you want a pair.
The thankful alphabet has been one of my favorite exercises that I have done in a while. It has really made me start to think about what I have and how blessed I really am. It is making me even be thankful for things like chocolate and coffee. Lol! These are little things that we take for granted but I am still thankful that they are in my life. I forgot to mention a couple of “c” words yesterday. The first one is “Comments.” I love when you take the time out of your day to leave me a comment. I never want to take that for granted!!! The second is my “Customers.” You all have “c”hoices and I do appreciate when you shop with me. Today’s letter is “D.” The first thing that comes to my mind is dogs. I have two laying at my feet as I type and since my Beckley is sick I find myself thinking about how much a part of my life he really is.
Another great “D” word is one that you are going to love. “D”eals!!! I have decided not to wait until Black Friday to offer you some R+F deals. Every day (except Sunday) I am going to post a deal of the day!!! This will be good for just the one day until 12:00 PST. These are deals from me, not R+F, so you will either be receiving a refund check or an item from me, depending on the special. I am going to start with Lash Boost. I am crazy about this product and I can’t believe how my lashes look now compared to last year. I get more comments about my lashes than you can even begin to imagine. You apply a very small amount so a tube will last you approximately 3 to 4 months. Lash Boost retails for 150.00 per tube BUT today only I am offering it as a Buy One at the PC price of 135.00 and get the second one for 95.00!!! That is a 40.00 savings! This HAS to be a PC purchase and I do not care if you are a new or existing PC. You can buy one and give one away as a Christmas present or since Lash Boost has a two-year shelf life when left unopened, you can just keep them for yourself. As an added bonus: make these purchases in two separate orders (FREE Shipping so it won’t cost any more) and I will also send you a $10.00 Starbucks card. I get rewarded for how many PC sales I get so this would count as 2 instead of 1. You win and I win!!!

Desserts, diamonds, dancing
Daylight! The short hours during the winter are precious indeed.
Great casual look. Feel like I have my own personal shopper now. God Bless and have a great Thanksgiving.
Really enjoy your blog. Very inspirational for this 54 yr old Realtor to look hip & professional. Your fushia shirt under your cardigan, is it sleeveless or cap? I like the smooth lines on my arms but hard to find the right balance for PA winter.
Thanks, Mari! The hot pink shirt is sleeveless.
Good morning, Tania! I miss having the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, but we will be home alone again this year. My “Bonus” daughter may come over with our granddaughter. The last few years, we’ve been putting steaks and chicken on the grill, twice baked potatoes, a green veggie and fruit salad, and of course there will be at least one fattening pie. Not traditional, but with only 4 people, it’s not going to happen. I love your cardigan and boy am I glad that you aren’t wearing socks! Lol … Remember toe socks? Lol “D” Daughter’s. God blessed me with 2 beautiful daughters and then after my marriage 11 years ago, I’ve been blessed with 2 more daughters and two daughters in law. We have 6 daughters and they are the greatest! I sure love my German Shepherd “Dogs” too!
Have a Blessed Day!
Yet another great sweater! I was thinking ahead yesterday and was going to say “dogs”, mine are sisters and almost 14 years old. Dads and daughters are also tops on my list!
I always think of so many additional words after I submit my response, but this morning I’m going with daughters, dad and dogs. Even though it seems I was frequently in trouble with dad, my daughters seemed to have the ‘worst day of their lives’ from 12-30!! lol ?
Dad – I was truly blessed to grow up with a wonderful kind and loving earthly father.
My “Dad” has passed too. Daughters, dogs and Donuts?. Love the pop of the pink top with your outfit today. You just look happy?. Thanksgiving will be quiet for my hubby and I. My daughter is a nurse, she is working, son gone to his in-laws and my mom going out of state to my brothers. Maybe we will volunteer instead of eating??
my Dad who is in heaven now but was a good dad and a wonderful earthly example of living a righteous life.
