CHRISTMAS EVE AND VISIONS OF SUGAR PLUMS
Oh my goodness, it is finally here! It is Christmas Eve, and tonight all of the little children will be going to bed early. And all the parents said, Amen! Lol! Christmas Eve is one of the only nights of the year when you don’t have to fight with children about what time bedtime is. They willingly take a bath and head off to bed early. Getting them into bed is the easy part but getting them to go to sleep is a different matter. It is too hard for them to shut down their excitement for what the next day will bring.
I am not sure if visions of sugar plums are dancing in Emersyn’s head or if she is deciding to steal my tree. Haha! She thought the red petal tree was too cute and by the time she got through playing with it, there might be a few petals that need to be reattached. One of the petals would fall off, and she would look at me so surprised. It was like she didn’t figure out that “she” was what was making the petals fall off. Lol! A quick plugin of the glue gun and Nee Nee can fix that!
My little blonde mini-me was ready for a fashion shoot after we got home from church and lunch. It was warmer than it had been for a while, so we didn’t have to wear a heavy coat. I took advantage of the weather and wore a short sleeve plush swing dress from Old Navy. I don’t put my short sleeved items away when winter hits. Instead, I add a sweater or a coat to them and extend the time that I can wear them. I love a swing dress because it hides a lot of body issues, such as a thick waist. Those of you who are larger chested might want to choose a different style. You would need something that defines your waist so that you look curvy.
