Celebrating My RODANNIVERSARY!

I once did a post that talked about decisions; how every day we make small decisions that can affect our lives in ways that we never expected. Starting the blog was one of those decisions. I had been talking about it and thinking about it for over a year and one weekend, out of the clear blue, I sat down and started the process. I had no idea that my life would change from that one small decision. I hope that my one decision has also changed YOUR life in some aspect. I have gotten many emails from readers telling me some of the changes that my blog has brought about in their life. That is a humbling thought. My decisions have an impact on others.

I started blogging in September 2015, and as you can see from the photo, it looks like I had been embalmed. I look lifeless and dull. I was looking at some of my photos in January of 2016, and I thought to myself, “Your blog might be called 50 Is Not Old but you are certainly starting to look old.” I didn’t know that this one thought was going to bring about another decision that was going to bring about another huge change in my life.

Since I started with Rodan + Fields, my confidence level has soared. Isn’t it crazy how washing your face with good skincare can change your confidence? The reason that I started the blog was to help women feel better about themselves through fashion. When you feel like you look good, it changes your perspective. The same is true with skincare. This is my Energizer Bunny Friend, and we were having a blast at a photo shoot at the 10-year anniversary event. Have I mentioned the fact that she is younger than my oldest child? Have I mentioned that she rocks a faux hawk? Have I mentioned that she competed in Mrs. Virginia a couple of years ago? You have to have a LOT of confidence to travel with this bunch. Lol!
