TWISTED KNOT DETAILS ARE SLIMMING
I spent all day long traveling on Wednesday. I am a multi-tasker and it drives me crazy to only do one thing at a time. So, while Energizer Bunny Friend drove the car I worked on the blog. I cropped and edited the photos, unloaded them, and then wrote today’s post all while traveling down 1-40 at a fairly rapid pace. Lol!
After the post was done then I moved on to calling some of my partners to tell them about all the exciting news that was announced at the event we went to. I love talking to these ladies and even though most of us have never met in person, I feel like I know them and I love talking to them on the phone. I love that the blog has enabled me to have so many new friends that I would never have ever met otherwise. The internet is a wonderful thing. It is amazing how people from all over the world can talk to each other so easily. It used to freak me out a little when I would think about people that I didn’t know looking at my blog and now I totally embrace that. And, I especially love it when you make comments because that gives me an insight into your life.
On yesterday’s blog, I wore a jumpsuit and several of you commented that you wear maxi’s instead of jumpsuits. So, I decided to wear a maxi today. They are so easy to wear and really, really comfortable. I know a lot of petite ladies feel like they can’t wear a maxi but I promise you that you can. You just need to buy one that is for a petite person and wear heels if you feel like you still need extra height. This maxi has a flattering twisted knot detail that is placed high on the dress. The v-neck plus the knot detail is very slimming. I love the details at the bottom of the dress. I think that the detail at the bottom of the dress is what makes this dress stand out from the pack. This maxi is by Eliza J and it is machine washable.
These Sydney hammered gold hoop earrings with the blue fringe are so cute and striking. They have a 3″ drop and these are truly statement earrings! Fringe earrings are really HUGE this year! The Mary Ellen bracelet is so cute. It is in a gold-tone and it has a very easy clasp. But, it is the fringe that makes it so cute. I have a simple little gold bar monogrammed necklace called the Jefra. The Celine monogram chain bracelet is no longer available. May is my 2nd year anniversary with Plunder and I am celebrating all month long. When you make a 50.00 purchase (excluding taxes and shipping) you will receive a FREE piece of jewelry from me as a gift! Join me in the business of Plunder Design this month and I will gift you 2 pieces of jewelry. Go to plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and hit the shop tab. Pick a party with my name on it and then have fun.
I added a platform shoe to my look to make sure that my dress didn’t drag the ground. I hate it when my dress is too long and I keep stepping on it.
I would love to have everyone shout out where you are reading this post from. What part of the world are you in and HOW did you ever even find me. After all, I live in a tiny little town in Southwestern Virginia. What were the odds of you ever finding me?
I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.

Your blog popped up on FB, I think! Love fashion, and I’m from New Braunfels, TX!
Your jumpsuit was gorgeous but at $178.00 approx. I find it amazing how you can afford a different outfit each day. Are you buying and returning or what is your secret. Your closet must be the size of most people’s living rooms. I enjoy looking at your blog each day. BUT it makes women spend more money than they should for things they really do not need. How would you answer this. Please
Love the dress. I have always felt frumpy in a long dress. I’ll have to give it another try. I am from Jacksonville, Arkansas (neat Little Rock). I found you on Pinterest. I always loved your looks for our 50+ girls. I wanted to dress like you as I lost weight from surgery. I decided to look you up and started following. I look forward to reading you every morning. You even inspired me to start my own blog.
I found you by searching for over 50 styles on Pinterest. I am in the Shenandoah Valley as well….Top of Virginia in Winchester. Have been enjoying your blog every day since I found it.
Upper peninsula of Michigan….You are all over Pinterest.
Hi I’m Deb and I live up here in the North land of Minnesota! I found you on Pinterest.
I’m following you from the east coast of Virginia. I found you on Pinterest searching for clothing styles for women past a certain age. I love your blog. I ordered the maxi dress this morning. I only hope it looks as good on me as it does on you.
Love the dress, but even when wearing heels (which I can’t do since I broke my leg wearing platform wedges!), it would still drag the ground and isn’t made so that I can hem it easily, as so often is the case! But it looks great on you!
I’m 70 years old and live just north of San Antonio, Texas. A friend told me about your blog. Totally agree that short people can wear maxis. I’m 5’3” and have bought a couple in petites from Talbots. Actually cooler than wearing pants in south Texas summers.
I’m from Tupelo, MS…..birthplace of Elvis Presley!
Found your blog from another blogger on FB. Always enjoy your posts & fashion ideas.
