TWISTED KNOT DETAILS ARE SLIMMING
I spent all day long traveling on Wednesday. I am a multi-tasker and it drives me crazy to only do one thing at a time. So, while Energizer Bunny Friend drove the car I worked on the blog. I cropped and edited the photos, unloaded them, and then wrote today’s post all while traveling down 1-40 at a fairly rapid pace. Lol!
After the post was done then I moved on to calling some of my partners to tell them about all the exciting news that was announced at the event we went to. I love talking to these ladies and even though most of us have never met in person, I feel like I know them and I love talking to them on the phone. I love that the blog has enabled me to have so many new friends that I would never have ever met otherwise. The internet is a wonderful thing. It is amazing how people from all over the world can talk to each other so easily. It used to freak me out a little when I would think about people that I didn’t know looking at my blog and now I totally embrace that. And, I especially love it when you make comments because that gives me an insight into your life.
On yesterday’s blog, I wore a jumpsuit and several of you commented that you wear maxi’s instead of jumpsuits. So, I decided to wear a maxi today. They are so easy to wear and really, really comfortable. I know a lot of petite ladies feel like they can’t wear a maxi but I promise you that you can. You just need to buy one that is for a petite person and wear heels if you feel like you still need extra height. This maxi has a flattering twisted knot detail that is placed high on the dress. The v-neck plus the knot detail is very slimming. I love the details at the bottom of the dress. I think that the detail at the bottom of the dress is what makes this dress stand out from the pack. This maxi is by Eliza J and it is machine washable.
These Sydney hammered gold hoop earrings with the blue fringe are so cute and striking. They have a 3″ drop and these are truly statement earrings! Fringe earrings are really HUGE this year! The Mary Ellen bracelet is so cute. It is in a gold-tone and it has a very easy clasp. But, it is the fringe that makes it so cute. I have a simple little gold bar monogrammed necklace called the Jefra. The Celine monogram chain bracelet is no longer available. May is my 2nd year anniversary with Plunder and I am celebrating all month long. When you make a 50.00 purchase (excluding taxes and shipping) you will receive a FREE piece of jewelry from me as a gift! Join me in the business of Plunder Design this month and I will gift you 2 pieces of jewelry. Go to plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and hit the shop tab. Pick a party with my name on it and then have fun.
I added a platform shoe to my look to make sure that my dress didn’t drag the ground. I hate it when my dress is too long and I keep stepping on it.

HI Tania, I am from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, which is a border town just over an hour from Detroit and a few hours from Toronto. I found you on Pinterest over a year ago while looking for current fashion for women over 50. I look forward to reading your blog every morning. You have such a great sense of style and always look amazing. I love your honesty and your sense of humor cracks me up. Thanks for sharing. You are an inspiration!!!
I live in raleigh, North Carolina and I found you on Pinterest wearing an adorable dress from Chadwick’s of Boston, I believe. It was white lace, sleeveless and gradually became coral colored at the bottom. Loved it and bought it for an upcoming cruise. I’m 62 and I just love your style and fashion sense! Thanks for helping out an old lady with none!
Hi from Grand Rapids, Michigan! Found you on Pinterest this past March. Love your cheerful style, inside and out!
Hi ya from Fort Worth Texas. I googled styles for over 50 and found yours a couple of years ago. Look forward to reading it everyday. I am originally from Virginia and your personality, style, and humor just resonate with me. So I feel a connection. ????
Hi, Tania! Shout out from Nashville….no, not the one in Tennessee, the much smaller one in Michigan! Haha. I found you on Pinterest, of course, while searching “fashions for people in their 50’s.” I had a lot of clothes, but didn’t really know how to out them together and accessorize and your fashion help is much appreciated!! Also, I love your Sunday blogs!!! I feel as if we are kindred spirits. Thank you for sharing inspiration and wisdom.
Hi Tania, I’m from St. John’s, Newfoundland, the most easterly point in Canada. I can’t remember exactly how I found you, but so glad I did. I love colour and that’s why I relate to your style of dressing. I also love your stories and look forward to your blog everyday. Thanks for the fashion, fun and Sunday inspiration.
I am from northern Ohio. I’m not exactly sure how I found your blog, but I think it was a link from another blog. I really enjoy your posts, Tania! Love the maxi!!
Loving your blog from the Somerset Hills of NJ. I’m 64 and enthralled with fashion, style and all things pretty. Found your blog googling over 50 style (slimmer pickings for over 60). Your blog is the 3rd in my holy triumvirate of Jodi’s Touch of Style and Fake Fabulous. Virginia Tech alum – go Hokies.
Hi Tania, I found your post on Pinterest while looking for styles for mature women. Your blog is the most realistic for my lifestyle, and I enjoy your stories. I’m from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, across the river from the U.S. and have the advantage of shopping in both countries. I look forward to your daily post. Keep up the good work.
