TWISTED KNOT DETAILS ARE SLIMMING
I spent all day long traveling on Wednesday. I am a multi-tasker and it drives me crazy to only do one thing at a time. So, while Energizer Bunny Friend drove the car I worked on the blog. I cropped and edited the photos, unloaded them, and then wrote today’s post all while traveling down 1-40 at a fairly rapid pace. Lol!
After the post was done then I moved on to calling some of my partners to tell them about all the exciting news that was announced at the event we went to. I love talking to these ladies and even though most of us have never met in person, I feel like I know them and I love talking to them on the phone. I love that the blog has enabled me to have so many new friends that I would never have ever met otherwise. The internet is a wonderful thing. It is amazing how people from all over the world can talk to each other so easily. It used to freak me out a little when I would think about people that I didn’t know looking at my blog and now I totally embrace that. And, I especially love it when you make comments because that gives me an insight into your life.
On yesterday’s blog, I wore a jumpsuit and several of you commented that you wear maxi’s instead of jumpsuits. So, I decided to wear a maxi today. They are so easy to wear and really, really comfortable. I know a lot of petite ladies feel like they can’t wear a maxi but I promise you that you can. You just need to buy one that is for a petite person and wear heels if you feel like you still need extra height. This maxi has a flattering twisted knot detail that is placed high on the dress. The v-neck plus the knot detail is very slimming. I love the details at the bottom of the dress. I think that the detail at the bottom of the dress is what makes this dress stand out from the pack. This maxi is by Eliza J and it is machine washable.
These Sydney hammered gold hoop earrings with the blue fringe are so cute and striking. They have a 3″ drop and these are truly statement earrings! Fringe earrings are really HUGE this year! The Mary Ellen bracelet is so cute. It is in a gold-tone and it has a very easy clasp. But, it is the fringe that makes it so cute. I have a simple little gold bar monogrammed necklace called the Jefra. The Celine monogram chain bracelet is no longer available. May is my 2nd year anniversary with Plunder and I am celebrating all month long. When you make a 50.00 purchase (excluding taxes and shipping) you will receive a FREE piece of jewelry from me as a gift! Join me in the business of Plunder Design this month and I will gift you 2 pieces of jewelry. Go to plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and hit the shop tab. Pick a party with my name on it and then have fun.
I added a platform shoe to my look to make sure that my dress didn’t drag the ground. I hate it when my dress is too long and I keep stepping on it.
I would love to have everyone shout out where you are reading this post from. What part of the world are you in and HOW did you ever even find me. After all, I live in a tiny little town in Southwestern Virginia. What were the odds of you ever finding me?
I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.

Hello Tania, I’m from Cambridge in England and found you by googling fashion ideas for the over 50s. I admire the way you wear all colours to stand out whereas I had started to wear darker ones to blend in! I also love your hair style – it makes you look even younger than the early days of the blog
I am reading from Huntersville, NC which is a suburb of Charlotte. I came across your blog when I was looking for fashion blogs for women over 40-50. Love that maxi dress!
I live in a small rural valley in Nevada about sixty miles from Las Vegas. I seem to remember seeing your blog first from a pin on Pinterest. And as they say the rest is history. I love hearing about your adventures and your life on the other side of the country.
I am from Salem Oregon and I think I found you on Pinterest! Love the Maxi on you!
Tania, I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. I have always chased the trends and consider myself fashionable but as I got to age 50 I knew I needed help finding style that is young looking, not like my daughter, but fashionable, not fuddy duddy. I first saw a post of you on Pinterest. When I found you posted everyday, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. So usually as I am trying to get too sleep, the last thing I do before I go to sleep, is open your new blog entry for the day at 12:01am. ?
Christine – Vancouver BC – saw you on pinterest
Tania, I am from the Central Coast of New South Wales which is an hour north of Sydney, in the beautiful country of Australia. I found your post when I was looking for styles for over 50yr olds & I have to say that your daily bog & photos are truly inspirational, keep it up.
