TURQUOISE AND GOLD ARE SUMMER MUST HAVES

I had my normal Friday afternoon date with Emersyn. She always looks shocked when I pick her up and then comes flying to greet me. She knows that a trip to TCBY is on the agenda. When we pulled into the shop my Energizer Bunny Friend and her daughter were sitting outside waiting for us to get there. My son is in a wedding tonight and he wanted to borrow a beverage holder (aka a flask) from EBF. Lol! I don’t think he was interested in carrying the only one in my house which said, “Girls Night Out!” Lol! Because Joseph and Kayla were going to the rehearsal dinner I went and picked Emersyn up from school. She was thrilled because she knew that a trip to TCBY was in her future. We came home and Joe, Emersyn, and I worked on cleaning up the pool area. Every 3 minutes she wanted to know if it was okay for her to get in. I would say, “not yet” and then 3 minutes later we would go through the same process again. Lol! Finally, after the 8958 time of her asking, Joe and I just gave up and said, “sure, you can get in.” The problem was that she didn’t have a bathing suit. We told her to just strip down and get in. “What!!! I am not showing my boobies” was her response. Lol! It didn’t take her another 5 minutes to be skinnydipping. Hahaha! She was so proud of herself and was not ready to get out when the time finally came. I can foresee a lot of night time swimming adventures in our future. On Saturday I dress more casually than any other day of the week. This is a simple look of a white tank top and jeans and to add some interest, I added the bright turquoise cardigan. I love waterfall cardigans and I will buy them when I see one in a pretty color. I am not sure if they will as popular this year since everything seems to be going shorter.

The Petra earrings are fabulous! I absolutely love these. I honestly didn’t think that I would like these earrings when I ordered them. When they arrived I was still not convinced but once I put them on I was smitten. The turquoise and gold beading looks like peacock feathers to me. They have a 4″ drop and fall perfectly in a flattering spot on your neck. I will be sending out the free Plunder jewelry to those who have made a purchase over 50.00 (excluding taxes and shipping) from the 1st of the month through the 15th. I am currently crushing on these gold basketweave mule slides by Sam Edelman. These have a lightly cushioned padding in the footbed so they are comfortable. I wore these shopping when I went to Nashville the other day and I didn’t mind walking around all over the mall. The slides are very popular this year and you will find them in all kind of prints and colors.

I am wearing a pair of Earl jeans today. It is the dark wash that I wanted when I bought these jeans. In the past, I had only wanted to light washed type. They were casual and that fit my style better. However, as I have gotten older I have gravitated more and more toward the darker washes. They look dressier and nicer in my opinion. Try to make sure you get jeans that have been pre-washed or you will have the indigo blue all over everything that you wash them with.

The 2nd Rodanniversary is getting close. May 23rd is the day and I am thrilled to get to share with you all the past activities that have happened this year. It is amazing what can happen in two years. Wow! If the next two years change as much for me it is going to be a wild and fun ride.
