TORTOISE SHELL AND BLACK
Happy Monday everyone! While most of us complain a little that it is Monday, today I am instead choosing to be thankful. Read my post from Sunday and you will understand why. I had a reader ask me if I knew a way to hide varicose veins. She told me that she was tired of wearing pants in the summer because it gets so hot. I decided to talk about that because I am sure she is not the only one reading my blog that has an issue with their legs, arms, tummy, thighs, etc.
Did you gurls notice that my legs are pasty white? Did you notice that I have sun spots on them from laying out in the sun as a teenager with only baby oil and iodine on them? Did you know that through photoshop I could have hidden all that? I could have simply added a tan to my legs, removed all the spots, smoothed out the skin, and basically made myself “appear” perfect. Why? Why would I do that? The only true answer is vanity. Yes, I am vain in the fact that I want to look the best I can but I am not willing to quit wearing what I want so that others are not “subjected” to my imperfections. These are my legs! My tummy has stretch marks! My toes are not pretty and straight, I have more rolls than I want, and my arms jiggle. Does all that bother you? Are you going to quit following my blog because of that? Did you even notice any of this until “I” pointed it out to you? Does any of my imperfections even matter to “YOU?” My point is that people see the person instead of the parts. If I even notice someone’s varicose veins, so what? Who really cares??? I have way more important things to worry about than to bother thinking that someone should only wear pants in the summer and be miserably hot! Gurls, promise me that you will wear what you want, just for you and not for others. Pinky swear!
Okay, now that my daily dose of encouragement is over I will move on to my outfit. Lol! It is a pretty simple outfit. I have a dress on and a pair of shoes. How much easier could it get? Lol! That is one of the great things about dresses, they are an entire outfit in just one piece. I don’t normally wear a huge amount of solid black but I am loving this dress. I am not sure why it looks different but I am really liking the overall effect. I think the wide scoop neck and the high-low hem are probably the biggest reasons that I like this dress. The large scoop neck shows plenty of skin and the black is not right up against my face. The high-low hem grabs your attention and brings the eye down. Even though this is a simple dress it is still very dramatic. The dress is by H by Halston and it is 95% rayon and 5% spandex. This dress feels extremely luxurious on and best of all, it is machine washable. I am wearing a sixe medium but I also got the yellow version and it is a small. I am linking a plus size version, a petite version, and a summer version below.

I own this dress in gray and I love it! I get compliments every time I wear it. It definitely runs large . I fold mine like a pair of pants and hang it on a pants hanger.
I love this dress!! it is very lovely on you and I would never think to wear a dress, however since you post clothing combinations daily, I am starting to see how to pull together certain looks. I am also equally thankful for you sharing the brands you wear. I have purchased from QVC before, but until following your blog, I would have never searched clothes not to mention the H by Halston dresses. I love this look on you!! From reading your comments, it sounds as if this dress and the material are very easy to maintain. I did read the reviews on the dress. Most love it with no complaints, then (of course some will complain). I mostly heard that the material is so thin you can not hang it on a hanger. I also read many people say it does not launder well and after it is washed and dries, there are so many wrinkles. The last one was once you sit down, it wrinkles so badly it looks terrible. So, since you own 2 of the dresses, do you mind sharing your opinion on what is true of this dress since I would really like to purchase this and hoping all of the positive comments will be the dress I order. Thank you again Tania!! You are honestly, giving me the confidence to go outside of my comfort zone and wear styles, colors and accessories I would have never thought of on my own. What is better is I am motiviated to get my butt to the gym and lose the 2 dress sizes I have gained since hitting 50. I am loving my new found confidence in myself!! Again, will you please be honest about the dress and let me know your thoughts on my concerns stated above. Feel free to e-mail me, if the response will be too long to put it on your reply section.
I hang this dress on a hanger and have not had any problems. I use the velvet hangers though not the wire ones. The dress is heavy and I don’t think the material is thin at all. I never had any issues with wrinkling while wearing the dress or after I washed it. I have never ironed it at all. I guess everyone is different.
I love the necklace you have with this black dress, loved it so much so that I bought it from Plunder! Delivered today and it is just as nice, quality is great, would buy many more just hate paying shipping!! Keep up the blog, love it….
I agree about the necklace AND the shipping. Lol! This necklace is drop dead gorgeous!
I absolutley love your hair!! Is it long in the back or is it shorter than the sides.
Thanks, Kelly! It is just a tad bit shorter in the back but not much.
I am a 71 year old 5’2″ (I used to be 5’3″ but am shrinking!) 150 lb woman who is being drug into ‘older’ status kicking and screaming. Oh, and did I add that I am lumpy? I took a chance and ordered this dress in Large. They were out of the petite so I figured I would be sending it back. To my utter amazement, the dress fit and looked nice on me. The material is heavier so it just flows over the lumps and smooths me out! Love it. I wore it to church yesterday with flesh colored wedges and got so many compliments that I lost count. I would have never tried this without seeing it on someone. Thanks Tania. 🙂
I love the “high low” hem on everyone but me! Your jewelry is always lovely. The Paxton necklace and earrings are lovely.
Love your blog which I just found recently. The style tips are great and yes, I am totally accepting of my imperfections. That is what makes me a total package. I am trying to age gracefully!
I have just discovered you & I’m really enjoying your blog!
I love your blog. I just found your blog, and love reading it every day. I love how real you are.
I love this necklace set! I also love every post you bless us with. I get so many great tips from dress, accessorizing, to a spiritual over hall as well. Thank you for sharing with us. I would love to win this set!
Love the vintage look of this necklace – it would be fun to build a outfit with this statement piece. Thank you for the opportunity.
I recently ran across your blog and am so happy that I did! I love your style and you have given me some great ideas for new combinations with pieces that I already own and have prompted me to try different colors and patterns with more confidence. Please keep doing all that you do!
Just start following your blog. Love your style and ideas!
You look marvelous & it is also that your smile is amazing & you are willing to laugh at yourself. Of course you have amazing fashion sense & an endless supply of purses & shoes that are fun to view!
Love the dress! And yes I agree the tortoise goes perfect with it. Thank you for your words of encouragement. Sometimes I think we let our small imperfections rob us of wonderful experiences.
Love your blog. You have inspired me to step up my fashion game. Even my daughters have noticed! I am obsessed with the Plunder jewelry!! Thank you for all you do.
Tania, I am so glad I found your blog. I really have trouble with a sense of style and you make it a lot easier. Thank you for being there for us 50 plus ladies…
Super cute outfit. I don’t wear dresses at all but you are really putting me in the mood to try again. Love all of the Plunder items that you show. I have never ordered but thought about it. Love to win one though. thanks again for your blogs. I love reading them especially about everyday issues.
Thank you for the wonderful words of encouragement and being daring enough to have white legs! I admire your fearlesss approach to fashion!!
Enjoy your posts! Here’s hoping this is my lucky day! By the way R&F is the best!
I love the plunder necklace set. I enjoy your blog and read it everyday. I am 65 but I dress the way you do. Wear what you love!
Love tortoise she’ll and black. Very classic look. I look forward to your posts every day. I’ve been enjoying your videos on YouTube and am saving up to invest in R+F skincare kit. Thanks for always keeping it real.
Great post today! Loved your encouraging advice to accept our imperfections as they show a life that has been lived. I really love your outfit today. Very flattering! I have never heard of Plunder until I started following your blog. I love most of the pieces especially the statement necklaces. My husband has been unemployed for 6 months, but someday I am going to treat myself. God bless!
I love your blog! I’ve discovered the missing piece to my wardrobe is jewelry and I’ve fallen in love with Plunder! I ordered several pieces and am getting lots of compliments on them. I’ll be reaching out to become a Plunder Stylist.
Thank you for all you do!
Sherry, that sounds fantastic!!! The catalog and the internet just does not do the jewelry justice. It is gorgeous, substantial, and the price is great.
I love your blog!! I’ve gotten so many great ideas from it that I look forward to reading it every day.
I have seen all of you Pintrest pictures – saving most of them. just started getting your blog. love reading them everyday.
I just found your blog, I love your style. Can’t wait to see what you are wearing.
Love all of your jewelry! Your blog is refreshing and fun. Thank you!!!
I really love the hemline of this dress. Makes it dressier. Very pretty!
Love your blog, your sense of humour. Fun to read! All of the Plunder jewelry is beautiful. Would love a piece from there. Have a great day!
I love that dress, I have a similar one in Black and Tan print and love it. I look forward to reading your blog and getting ideas from you every morning with my coffee. Thank you!
Love the dress! Not sure that I could wear it though. I’m short and I don’t think the proportions would be right.
Love the dress! You look fantastic!
Love the dress! You look fantastic! I expected a pop of color from your purse (blue came to mind for some reason – but I guess that wouldn’t go with the jewerly- so much to think about ?)
I love your blog!!!
Love both pieces and am loving your blog!
Good afternoon!! I love your look. And I love how confident you are with whatever bulges and jiggles you SAY you have (though I see no evidence). This world definitely makes us (and I really mean me) feel inadequate as we age, doesn’t it?…So I love that I have found a blog that celebrates fashion choices that do not include crop tops or short shorts! ? Jane
You look great in that dress! I love Plunder jewelry. I have several pieces that work well with many outfits!
LOVE the simple black dress with the accessories. The more I see the Plunder on the more I like it. Looks beyterbon then in the catalog.
Love this black dress!
Love the tortoise shell necklace!
Love this outfit
Enjoy everything about your blog!
Love reading your blog during my morning coffee!
I started following your blog a few months ago and totally enjoy everything you have on it. Thank you for working so hard to help make us gurls feel beautiful both inside and out!
Loved the dress–and really like your blog. Your suggestions have helped tremendously on several occasions. Thanks so much.
Love your blog & the tortoise shell!
I’ve always loved tortoise shell jewelry and I totally love the black dress!
Love your blog and advice and your pale legs…
Love your style! So glad I found your blog!
Very attractive and slenderizing!
Looking lovely as usual! There is something about wearing bold jewelery with black that always looks stunning! Love your blog Tania!
The black dress looks lovely on you!
I just love the Paxton set! I am quickly adding lots of Plunder to my jewelry box. 🙂 The tortoise shell jewelry goes well with the black. It makes it all a showcase set with the black backdrop. Thanks for your blog. I look for it every day at 12:01 am. 🙂
Thank you for everything- the outfits, the jewelry and inspiration- both fashionwise and “life”-wise!
I love the black dress. Shows yet again that you can take a basic black dress and make it spectacular by adding some accessories.
I use under eye concealer on my varicose veins if I’m going out. It’s kind of thick and I might even use a dab of powder over that!
We really do need the reminder that as older women, we do have scars and marks. Who cares, right? Thanks for the perspective!
I’ve just learned that nobody else notices the imperfections that seem so huge to me! When I’m showing them, I giggle all day. Three years ago, I lost 90 pounds. I’ve not been this size since high school (a very short period in high school). Your blog has helped me to see how to dress. It sounds silly, but when I was large I wanted to be invisible. Thank you so much for what you’ve done. I’m having a blast wearing things I’ve never considered before. (I’ve just discovered pants that aren’t black or navy 🙂
Yesterday my daughter and I went to Sephora because she needed to renew and replace some of her makeup. I kept showing her different products and telling her this is what Tania uses. At one point she asked me who Tania was and if I had a new friend. I just laughed and said, “Yes.” And then I told her about your blog. Thanks so much for keeping it real.
Loved you post yesterday!
Thank you love this blog today. Yes we all have imperfections. I am not one to follow my own advice BUT love who you are and enjoy life – it is too short not too!
I would love to get the mermaid pendant. I ordered the pearl necklace that you had on with the mermaid pendant, and it arrived today! Since my first love is flamingos, I HAD to order that pendant first. My daughter has a job being a mermaid, so my next purchase is definitely the mermaid pendant!
Things I love: jewelry, make up and cute outfits! Things I don’t really love: paying for jewelry, make up and cute outfits! #1 thing that would make me happy this week: Winning free jewelry!! 🙂
Hi Tania
Glad to know that I’m not the only one who isn’t perfect. I love your style and had you not told me about the lumps and rolls I wouldn’t have known. You hide them well. I like the Paxton necklace. I tried to find it but couldn’t is it an older piece
Tania, if we all were perfect, we wouldn’t have anything to complain about, “at least that is what I was told”!! I am such a worry wart about scars, bruises, etc. And finally I am seeing, they are there so as long as I can walk, stand, live my life, then those are just chips in the armour, and God is okay with it. I have really enjoyed the last 2 blogs a lot, you always have me thinking, I appreciate that so much!! 😉 Love the outfit, and the jewelry you look great!
I have taken almost every one of the pictures on Pinterest and saved the under my “Fashion ideas”! Thank you!!
Congrats on #1 in R & F and your first anniversary in Plunder. Way to go GURL!!
Love this outfit.
Love your blog and the fact that you keep it real. I always say, those that matter don’t mind and those that mind don’t matter. Keep on “keeping it real” gurl!
We are our own worst critics.
Girl……….Speaking of being thankful from yesterday. “Thank You” Tania for sharing your imperfections. I am going to wear my shorts boldly this summer exposing my “fatty knees” 🙂 ~Lisa~
Oh yeah….forgot to compliment you on this awesome dress and great combo. ~Lisa~
I forgot to compliment you on that awesome dress and great combo. ~Lisa~
Love the black dress and earrings. Fits me to a tea. Love to wear dresses in the summer. More often than not you will find me in a dress this summer for all occasions.
Ooh, I love Plunder jewelry and I collect clocks and clock faces. When people ask why I have so many, I always say there is never enough time. 😉
I keep looking at your Plunder page. One day I will break down and order!
Thank you for keeping me sane and helping me to dress fashionable not laughable!
Love the dress, very stylish and put together – such an easy elegant outfit. You look great!
Hi Tania!
Today’s post is so helpful to so many women. I haven’t read your blog from the beginning, but I have gone back to older posts….You look younger NOW!!! Yesterday’s post was a true blessing. You’re an inspiration.
I love that dress on you !! I love items that can be dressed up or dressed down ! I am just in love with Plunder ! One day I hope to be able to sell it !!
Love the dress and you look fabulous in black!
Love this blog! Needed this inspiration to just embrace where I’m at in life, sun spots, wrinkles, gray hair and all <3 Wear what I love & just go with it.
You look great in the dress and block heels. Love that look and your inspirational message! The Plunder necklace and earrings you are giving away are both beautiful.
Loving the black dress…and you for being real!!!!
Thank you for running a professional blog. You are doing a truly great job at this. You are inspiring many and not only in a fashion sense.
Expecting baby #4 and sporting some varicose veins on one leg: decided that it didn’t matter and I am wearing shorts most days! Love that dress! Looking forward to seeing the yellow one!
I like the tortoise with black combo! You look great. Btw, I rarely wear casual dresses, but I might reconsider, considering the ease with 1 piece dressing, not to mention how nice it glides over the curves, (unlike shorts) in hot & sticky weather.
I enjoy your blog. It has inspired and encouraged me.
What great advice about how we dress to hide our self imposed flaws. I have huge calves, I think I’m going to wear a skirt today that stops at my knees……just cause!
The black dress is killer! Love it and look forward to your blog every single day!
Love everything about your blog! I look forward to reading your blog everyday. I have to wait until later in the day to read it. I am afraid if I read it when I am getting ready for work I will be late! Love, love the jewelry!
Me! Me! Me! Pick Me! I already checked out the Halston dress on QVC! Great Price!
Love your black dress and statement necklace! A very slimming and chic look. I love the ease and coolness of wearing a dress in the summer.
I love this simple but elegant black dress today! The high low hem definitely adds some pizzazz! I would love to own the Plunder Tory or Ryan necklaces but this beautiful set you’ve showcased today for the giveaway is gorgeous too! I always get fun ideas from your daily posts to incorporate into my wardrobe – I’m so happy you started blogging!
I love your blog, your style and Plunder jewelry! However, I’ve never ordered from you because my daughter is a Plunder stylist and so of course, I have to order from her! I think the best giveaway ever would be what the “stalker” got- a shopping day with you! 😀
YOU INSPIRE ME!!! GO TANIA!!! Love this entire outfit….so cute! I want to be brave like you.
YOU INSPIRE ME!!! GO TANIA!!! I love this outfit from head to toe! Looks great!
I love reading your blog each day. Inspiring and fun!
Love your blog and this necklace set. Keep growing and going strong!
I love the simple LBD…not to high in the front! I want so much to not have life’s battled scarred legs but at 48, it just is what it is 🙂 Thank you for blogging “real” pics and reassuring us that it’s just OK! Both the set you are wearing and the give-a-away jewelry set are amazing! I am falling more and more in love w/ Plunder…I have the turquoise and big green tassel on today! Thank you again!
Love the tortoise too! May be time to.place an order with that offer!
Love the dress, love you positive attitude and I look forward to reading your blog daily. I love your sense of fashion and all the jewelry. You are truly a beautiful lady.
I love your encouragement today! I think we all have things about our bodies that we don’t like. I like the fact that you don’t try to cover up anything with Photo Shop and you are beautiful just the way you are. You are right….I didn’t notice any of those things you mentioned. I think we should try to be the best versions of ourselves, but not try to hide anything that we don’t consider perfect.
Thank you again for the inspiration. I appreciate how you take readily available clothing and doll it up!!
I recently ordered my first Plunder item and it’s beautiful. I imagine the Paxton and Paisley are too!
That black dress looks fabulous on you. I bought the little black flair dress from Old Navy and had hoped to dress it up but no matter how much red/orange/yellow/green/blue (you get the idea) I have paired it with it still looks so drab. Maybe I need a statement piece of jewelry?
Thanks for keeping it genuine and not fake! Thankful for your positive attitude and encouragement!
Thank you, I really enjoy your engaging style and authenticity! How refreshing!
Donna P.
ok, i just ordered that dress. i love it.
I just ordered that dress too. Hope I look half as good when wearing it as Tania does!
Many thanks for your wonderful and informative blog (Greetings from NW Ontario, Canada), I especially enjoy your blog because you are engaging and authentic!
Donna
I look forward to reading your blog every morning. Our styles are pretty similar! Congratulations on your anniversary!
You always give me inspiration for the day. Thank You. I’ve never followed a blog before but since I stumbled across yours on Pinterest a month or so ago, trying to figure out what a 57 year old should wear, I look forward to yours every day. You make me smile and even cry a little especially when i read your post yesterday. It hit home for me.
Also, I was wondering what all you keep in your purse? Lol. I know that sounds weird but since you change purses all the time I wonder if its a hassle for you to change everything out of it. After seeing all your beautiful purses Ive decided to branch out and buy another purse. That will make 3. Black, brown and who knows what I’ll find. Lol.
Thank You Tania, your the best!
This is my favorite outfit to date! It’s simple but very chic. As you can tell I’m a “less is more” kinda gal! You could wear this anywhere! You look fabulous!
I am really enjoying you blog, fashion, jewelry and your personality! Getting ready to place my first plunder order in the next few days. Thank you for sharing your blog with us!
Always Love reading your blog! Pretty plunder set.
Thank you – you sunny smile every morning in my e-mails starts my day off right.
Love Love Love this Blog about wear what makes YOU feel good and don’t worry about how you look to OTHERS!!!!
Enjoy reading your blogs daily! 😀
I love your blog. Thank you for sharing!
Love the outfit! The necklace just sets it off. I’ve never heard of Plunder until I started reading your blog.
Love your posts! Love that you are so “real” about what you post and what you wear and products that you use!!
Love your inspirational comments!! In a world with photoshop- everybody appears perfect making those of us with flaws feel inadequate – so not true!! Keep it up, buttercup???
Love the black and tortoise shell – then again, I love just about everything you fashion for us!!! I will now go put some shorts on my jiggly veiny pasty white legs!!! (You are so right)!!!!
Love the look Tania. I’ve tried to break out of my comfort zone since following you by adding some color to my wardrobe but I’m still drawn to black.
Love this simple look! I’m wearing something similar today except the dress is shorter and my statement necklace is green instead of tortoise shell. And you are absolutely right – wear what you feel good in and don’t worry about what people think.
Your blog is so fun!!
I love that you are one of us and not afraid to show and share it! This is what makes me want to read your blog every day! I love this retired Plunder set, I don’t have it, but have seen several people wear it. What a statement necklace! Happy Monday!
Why be concerned about your seeming imperfections just remember that others are too busy looking at themselves
I love the tortoise shell, too! It looks great with the black. Thanks for the words of encouragement. They come at exactly the right time in my life.
I hear what you’re saying about your veins but… I have been using sally Hansen spray on makeup for my legs (and it’s waterproof!)
I decided that if I wear makeup on my face to look better and it makes me feel more confident that my legs are no different!
Just my humble opinion!
Thank you , that’s what I was looking for . A waterproof makeup for my legs . I get the whole embracing me as I am look but my varicose veins are really bad and I will never be comfortable showing my legs until I have laser surgery . Until I can afford it I need something to cover them up so thank you ! I can’t wait to try it 🙂
I am repeating myself by saying “what an inspiration!” Thank you for the words of encouragement to all of us who
look in the mirror and pick apart our bodies 🙁 i am soooo guilty of that, but getting better. After losing my brothers i have taken a new approach to life. If God sees fit for me to wake up every morning I had better make the most of that day and start by loving myself the way he loves me. You look great and as always, thank you for being you!
Loving your new photos. You definitely look amazing and what an inspiration. I am thankful for your blog that is genuine and fun.
Love your encouragement today! I don’t like how my knees look in short dresses and skirts, but have recently decided that my knees are perfect because they are healthy and get me where I want to go!
Love this look and your blog! You always make me smile with your sense of humor!
I love tortoise shell “anything” and black for myself. You look great in this Tania! Thanks for your blog that I look forward to, every single day!
I tell my mom (the 70+ model on my blog) that all the time about her legs—-she still would rather wear hose in the summer (crazy lady), but I don’t let her for the blog photos!!
We are perfect as we are—sure we can make ourselves look better, but we should be thankful for our bodies!!
Jodie

Look forward each morning to reading your blog!
You are right Tania, the older I get the less I care about what other people think about what I am wearing. I wear what I like and if you don’t like my ugly toes showing or my varicose veins just don’t look. LOL
Tania,
Reading your blog inspires me daily to be and look my best. And on days when I am in a hurry and throw anything on to rush out the door I may not look my best, but am at least thinking about you and your inspiration.
I love it you are just you. I try to be that way also but have to confess vanity slips in on occasion.
I love the clock necklace.
Thanks! Your blog is so very refreshing!
Love the necklace! I have really enjoyed reading your blog. Thank you for your Sunday blogs- they are very inspiring!
I’ve been enjoying your blog. I’ve not heard of Plunder, but will check it out.
Seriously thinking of getting this dress, but I saw some mixed reviews. Did you size down? How is the care? I am concerned about not being able to hang it up and many wrinkles from traveling. It sounds like it may be a good dress for home but not for my work travels when I am living out of a suitcase. Thoughts??
I am wearing a size Medium and I also got a Small but I haven’t tried it on yet. I have it hanging on a velvet hanger but I don’t know about the wrinkles. It didn’t strike me as one that would be horrible but I don’t travel a lot so I never took that into consideration.
I love the dress and jewelry!!! You look beautiful Tania!!!
Loving the whole look!
You are so generous with your giveaways, thanks for spoiling us 🙂
Thanks for saying what needs to be said! We spend so much time hiding our “imperfections”! I’m all for looking my best but I won’t feel badly about my body. You look great – as usual! Let’s embrace and be thankful for what we have!
What a great post – I haven’t commented before but you have such a great perspective on life that I have to tell you I look forward to reading your blog every day and love your fashion sense!
Super cute outfit!
I just started following you! Love your stories! So happy to have found another 50 Something that gets it!
Thank you for this blog. I look forward to it everyday!
I luv the tortoise jewelry with the black dress. So sophisticated.
Thanks for the encouragement this morning! It is so upbeat and refreshing! And the outfit is beautiful – love the tortoise shell jewelry!
Love this outfit – it looks so comfy and stylish! The Plunder jewelry just sets it off. And the words of encouragement were wonderful – you always seem to be so upbeat and refreshing!
Beautiful piece!
Thanks Tania! This is the second time I followed one of your fashion links and shopped! Loving the Macys’s petite black dress option and saved extra 20% with summer code 😉
I’ve said it before…best thing about your blog is that it’s real. No photoshop, no editing, just a woman doing her best to be and look her best every day.
That’s what I strive for. There’s no photoshopping in real life!
Love the dress and also your encouragement about accepting our imperfections.
Love the black dress! Thanks for reminding us no one is perfect. I have a big scar on knee from knee replacement. I used to try to hide it but eventuallly realized it’s part of my life journey. In daily life this is me. As we age I think we realize worry about looking perfect steals your joy. Enjoy your Monday.
That dress is amazing!! It looks so elegant and comfortable! I’d also like to know if it runs true to size! Thanks, Tania!
I really enjoy your blog! Clothes are always cute and love your comments!
I enjoy the variety of outfits you show. You always give me ideas.
Hi Tania, I recently started reading your blog and love your down to earth posts! For being limited in where you can shop you do a great job in putting together a variety of outfits. Loving the hair and makeup too. Thanks for all the beauty tips!
Congrats on your anniversary of your blog and business. I have mentioned before how I enjoy your fashion, jewelry. Yesterday I went to Macy’s and found a lot of terrific tops- petite short pants- capris. Found some darling wedge sanders- all inspired but your blog and various ensembles. I am going back today as on the way out of the store my eye caught a darling blouse similar to the off the shoulder “fish in the sea” blog post. I am looking over jewelry- love the plunder selection. Great work you do! Thank you for adding inspirational messages to of accepting our imperfections and reminding us to cherish and hold dear in our faith! Have a great rest of your week!
Thanks for what you said about not hiding our imperfections and dressing the way we want to dress. I so needed that reminder. I love you in that dress. So pretty. And your jewelry is fabulous!
Enjoy reading all your blogs and your style. I also like to wear several pieces of jewelry just like my Mother would when she was going somewhere. When I moved in to take care of her and we had to go to the doctor I always made sure she had her jewelry on ! I love jewelry , just like my Mother. Oh she used to sell Sarah Coverenty ( don’t think I spelled that correctly ) .
Thank you for that Tania I mostly wear what I want but every now and then a little voice shouts out those imperfections. You look very elegant in the black dress I hope you have somewhere nice to go (talk to Joe ?)have a lovely day
Hi Tania, I completely agree with you, we all have imperfections, we have scars from accidents as children, sun spots, bloches here and there, we probably and hopefully have laugh lines too. We all try the best we can, it is
easy to put yourself down, but ladies turn it around, look for the positives. Be grateful for our lines and imperfections, we have lived a life. Be kind to yourself. Do the best you can. Ladies there are even groups called
“Ladies Loving Life!” Tania, by the way you look great! I like your combination of black and brown, you look comfortable and stylish.
Great looking outfit! Love the dress.
Love this dress! I enjoy reading your post everyday, I like the fact that you are not selling outfits and announcing sales daily! Love your style
I applaud you on showing your inperfections! I also do that on my blog. It s Just who we are! We aren t twenty anymore right! I am totally in love with your dress and the tortoise bracelet! Fabulous! Would love to wear that!
Super cute look! I am looking for a dress for an upcoming event and this would be perfect. I’m wondering what size to order – do you think it runs true to size?
Love the Paxton necklace! I thought your comment the other day about pearls was so true, I was talking to our school secretary about it the next day…. and then just scrolling down to this comment section I saw the link for your sisters book so I had to check that out, I teach 5th grade and think it would be a great read aloud book for them!
