THREE AFFORDABLE OUTFITS UNDER $70 THAT ARE ADD TO CART READY
Whenever I post about affordable outfits, I know you gurls are going to love it! So, if I post about THREE affordable outfits, are you going to love it even more??? In fact, you should love it THREE times more! I can’t wait to show you all of these affordable outfits, so let’s get going. BTW, even though Lucy doesn’t look thrilled, she is pleased with these outfits. Lol!
Affordable outfits can come from many different retailers, even ones that you wouldn’t normally associate with the term affordable. For example, when I mention Nordstrom, affordability isn’t the first thing that pops into my mind. Instead, I think of things like free shipping, customer service, anniversary sale, and designer items.
Brands with Affordable Outfits from Nordstrom
Here are some of my favorite affordable brands available at Nordstrom. You can search by brand, so keep these in mind when you shop there.
Even when shopping at stores such as Kohl’s, JCPenney, Walmart, or Target, I have my favorite brands that I will filter by first. Back in February, I did a post talking about the different retailers who had affordable fashions. I sometimes find other items that aren’t by these brands, but these are the ones that I check out first.

First off, I hope you are looking at the clothing and not at my hair. What was I thinking??? Oh, well, my mother tells me that she pays me no attention and only looks at my outfits, so I guess that is how the rest of you read the blog too. B.T.W., thanks, Mom, you’re supposed to be paying attention to your daughter, not the clothes. Lol!
I have to admit; this button-front ruffle blouse is way cuter than I thought it would be. I hesitated to order it because I was not sure if I would like the colors. For some reason, the blouse looks like it has a hint of blue, but it is all dark green. The round part in the print is gold metallic so that it would be cute for the holidays.
If you are any size other than an X.S., you can forget about this top. Even though that is a bummer, the good news is that it is available in BEAUFORT BLUE FLEURS, and that was the one that I wanted to order, but I decided that I had already posted something similar. There are several colors and prints to choose from, some have sheer sleeves, and some don’t. I ended up ordering a large, and I think the fit is great.
If you don’t like wearing white after Labor Day, then you might like these Croft & Barrow beige (looks like winter white to me) straight-leg corduroy pants. I ordered the tall version because I wanted to wear them with my ankle boots that have a platform sole. The standard inseam is 30 1/2″, and the tall is 32 1/2″. I am wearing my usual size 10, and they fit great.
Before I even mention anything about the top, I want you to notice that this top, and the one before too, would look great with the beige/winter white pants. To create affordable outfits, try to make sure that your purchase can be worn with multiple pieces of clothing. I call this my mix and match style, and it works wonders to save you money.
This cream plaid peasant top is one of those tops that isn’t a star of an outfit, but it is a lovely complimentary co-star. The color palette is muted neutrals, so that is one reason why it doesn’t stand out. There are some details like the sleeves and the banded neckline, but they are also muted. If you don’t like drawing attention to yourself, then this might be the type of top you desire. I’m wearing a medium which is plenty large enough for me. The misses sizes are limited, but I see that the Petite sizes are still plentiful.
I am having the worst luck when it comes to inventory today. These soft khaki pants are also limited in size. UGH!!! The problem is, there is a huge sale going on right now, and everyone is making purchases while they can save money. I’m wearing my usual size 10, and the pants fit me great.
Moving along, we have a casual look that has lots of style, details, and color. The pants have all of the color, but the style detail on the sweater has pizzaz all on its own.
This cream sweater has plenty of sizes available, AND it comes in several colors! I bought the sweater because of the Pointelle design down the sweater’s front and down the sleeves. However, as cute as that design is, I believe I like the softness of the sweater the most. When it comes to softness, that is hands-down my number one must-have with clothing.
I recently bought some sweater pants for lounging around the house, and since I’ve put them on every time I take them out of the dryer, I went in and ordered myself two more pairs in different colors. Plus, since I loved the softness of the pants, I ordered the matching hoodies sweaters also. I ordered a medium in the pants and a large in the hoodie. Mauve is the color that I have, and I ordered teal and pink this morning.
I love these straight-leg corduroy pants, and I think they will be fabulous during the holidays. I love these deep plum color, and I think it looks very luxurious. These are the same pants that I wore above in winter white, but these look entirely different. It is funny how color makes a difference in how things look. I am once again wearing a 10 tall, and they fit wonderfully.
I’m glad that so many of you are taking advantage of the Verb Energy Bars Starter Pack special that is only good until the end of the month. They are on sale until the end of the month for only $10.00 with code VERBFAMSK! I’ve already got mine coming because these are great for a small snack, a little extra boost of energy, and only 90 calories. I just thought you might be interested in trying them while they are on sale.
I also wanted to talk to you ladies about comments. It is awesome that so many of you are leaving comments and are even commenting to each other. I’m not ignoring your comments; I just try not to answer to not mess up the number of comments for the random giveaway. Feel free to email me if you have a question that needs to be answered, tania@50isnotold.com
Also, one more thing, if you don’t like an outfit, that is fine. We all have different tastes, etc., so that is to be expected. However, please don’t leave a comment such as, “that outfit is ugly,” “I would never wear that,” or “that’s so frumpy.” It has nothing to do with my feelings; I don’t want another lady who had previously loved the outfit to think that HER taste in clothing is wrong. Remember, if you can’t say something nice, just don’t say anything at all. Lol! I want to keep this website as a place of encouragement. You can always email me if you think that something is ugly. Hahaha!
