THIS OR THAT, PINK AND GREEN FOR SPRING
Does time seem to go by faster when you are on vacation? I can’t believe that we’ve been in Belize for six days. It is beautiful here and the weather has been perfect. Even though I’ve worked several hours each day, I have still found plenty of time to relax and enjoy just chilling.
I don’t think this will be my last trip to Belize, the people are so nice and it is helpful that they speak English. If you love snorkeling, diving, or fishing, then Belize needs to be on your bucket list. My daughter is off exploring, and I can’t wait to watch her videos. I’ll be sure to share those with you, probably on YouTube, so you need to make sure that you are following me on that platform. Click HERE, pick a video to watch, and then hit the FOLLOW button.
Last week I did a sponsored post for Kohl’s, and I created several collages. This Smocked Flutter Top by Draper and James RSVP is adorable. I’m obsessed with this line from Kohl’s because it is at a better price point than Draper and James. The RSVP line is only found at Kohl’s, but they have a good assortment of items.
I love the flutter sleeves on this top, but if you aren’t fond of showing your upper arms, then a pop of denim jacket or cardigan on. The smocked neckline gives the top fullness, so even larger chested women can wear this top. One of my larger chested friends complains that she looks like a tent when the top hangs, so a half-tuck will help to alleviate that issue. I’m wearing a medium in the top, and it fits great.
Here is an up-close view of the smocking and flutter sleeves. While I am showing this up-close look, I’ll share that I’m wearing the AVI Hoop Earrings and my 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross Necklace that I wear daily.
Kelly Green is a color that I love wearing in the spring and summer. I start wearing it around St. Patrick’s Day, and I don’t stop until fall arrives. I have lots of Kelly Green tops, but not any bottoms. When I saw these Roll Cuff Skinny Jeans, I couldn’t wait to try them. I’m wearing a size 8, and they fit great but are the tiniest bit tight. If you are between sizes, then you might want to size up.
Now, let’s get to THAT outfit. I’m still sticking with green bottoms in my second look, but you could switch them out for pink, white, denim, or whatever else strikes your fancy. The Embroidered Shorts look like lace cut-outs. I was worried about being able to see through the holes, but the shorts are lined, so that isn’t an issue. The shorts have a 3 1/2″ inseam, which is a little shorter than the 5″ length I prefer. I don’t know if it is the scalloped edge or what, but these shorts look longer than 3 1/2″ to me. So that you have a reference point, I am 5’6″ tall. I hope that helps you figure out how the shorts would look on you.
You can see the length of the top and the length of the shorts in this shot.
Espadrille wedges are what I wear in spring and summer when I want a dress/casual look. They can be dressed up or down, and they look great with dresses as well as shorts. This Slingback Espadrille Wedge is by Tom’s, a company known for giving back. I saw a lot of mixed reviews on these shoes, but I found them to be comfortable and true to size.
I mentioned that the shorts were lined, but I forgot to mention that the flutter sleeve top was also lined. Both layers are lightweight, but you can’t see through the shirt, and that is the point.
Last but not least, let’s talk about the Coach Lori Shoulder Bag. I love the chalk color, and I think that it is great for spring and summer. However, it is on the expensive side, so I’ll also link to some similar ones that are at a slightly better price point.
Now for the hard part, do you like This, or does That look the best? I have an idea of what you will say, so it is going to be interesting to see if I am right.

Both look great on you but I like the shorts better. Hope you are sitting on the beach or by the pool:).
I’m going with the “this” look! It’s the perfect combo of refined yet relaxed, and casual & cute.
Well, I cannot choose. I like both. So glad you’re having a good time in Belize!
Hi! Love this outfit. Green is my favorite color and this looks so springy. I’ve been following you for some time but cannot seem to get any of the emails despite signing up all the time. Hoping it can be fixed.
I like This with the top untucked
I love the top with the shorts! Sometimes I worry my shorts are too short for my age. You look fabulous!
Can you tell me what happened to the Bloglovin’ app? I can’t even find it to download anymore. It was my favorite way to pin your blog.
Love both outfits this week
I prefer the THAT outfit with the eyelet shorts. They are so cute!
I love, love, love these colors together and wouldn’t be able to pick between the two looks. They both look great and so summery!
