THIS COOL AND CRISP LOOK IS PERFECT FOR SUMMER

 

Yesterday was a wild and crazy day. My sister and I arrived at the Nordstrom store at 10:00 am, and we didn’t leave until 6:00 pm. I was a little disappointed in the amount of clothing available in the store, and most of the items that I wanted to purchase will have to be bought online. But, there was a highlight to my day…

 

 

Being a blogger can be almost like being on a deserted island. (I am watching Cast Away. Lol) There aren’t that many of us, and not everyone is friendly. You would be surprised at some who won’t answer questions if you reach out to them. I am thankful that I have found a community of wonderful women who are sweet, friendly, and willing to share information.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of meeting Beth Djalali from Style At A Certain Age, and she is just as nice in person as she seems. She and her DIL were also shopping at the sale, and then we met up for lunch. Both of them were incredibly friendly, and it was like we had been old friends for years. If you don’t already follow her, then do yourself a favor and check her out. You will be glad that you did.

 

 

Today’s outfit is one that I bought a week or so ago, and I love the overall look. White on white is always a classic look, and I love how it looks with the palm print any and white pants.

 

 

The white tank top is a simple top that can be worn in many ways. You can wear this top with jeans or shorts for a casual look, and also with a blazer for a dressier look. I am wearing a large in the tank, and that is the size that I needed.

 

 

The white linen cotton blazer is a summer essential. I love a white blazer, and it is something that I wear a lot. I use a blazer or cardigan to help create curves and to hide body flaws that I would rather not show. A blazer looks great with a dress, and white goes with anything.

I am wearing a size 12 blazer, and it fits me great. I noticed that the sizes are very limited, so I’ll try to find some similar ones for you.

 

White on white is a classic look, but these palm print ankle pants are the star of the outfit. I love navy and white, so these pants spoke my name. I was afraid that I wouldn’t like the pleated front of the paper bag look of the waist. However, I loved these pants, and I thought they looked great. Be sure to let me know your thoughts.

My accessories are the Ray-Ban sunglasses that I really needed on this sunny day. I also added my Rylan earrings, the Brylee Chain Bracelet in Mixed Metal, and my Elisa gold vermeil pendant all c/o Kendra Scott.

My cork heels are a pair that I’ve had for a long time. I love the neutral color of the shoes, and they are perfect for summer and go with anything. I have found some that look almost identical, and I’ll link them below.
