One way to stay modern looking is to stay informed on the latest fashion trends. The problem with trends is that you never know if they will stick around for several years or if they will be out of favor by the next year. That is why I recommend spending more on classic pieces and finding affordable options for trends. Today’s post is full of affordable options on the latest fall trends from Walmart.

This classy outfit is perfect for a girl’s luncheon, a date night, or any time you want to dress up and look fabulous.

Double breasted blazers are a classic style that is also trending. Everyone needs a black blazer in their closet for times when you need to dress up an outfit. This one adds a chic, sophisticated look to the Sleeveless Halter Neck Sweater and Satin Tapered Cargo Pants, but would look great with a t-shirt and jeans too.

You probably didn’t think of satin when you saw cargo pants. These Satin Tapered Cargo Pants feel so luxurious, and they are chic and on-trend. I loved these pants so much that I bought them in this sand color and black also.

Faux leather is everywhere this year. You will find pants, jackets, blazers, skirts, and dresses all in faux leather.

I fell in love with the look of this Faux Leather Pleated Midi Dress in fudge. This dress is dressy and sharp looking and fits me perfectly. I’m wearing a medium in the dress, and the only issue I had was trying to shimmy it over my hips. Once it was on, it looked great. I probably needed to have sized up to a large.

This Black Barrel Handbag also has a crossbody strap, but I preferred to carry it by the handle. This is a smaller handbag but still has room for a phone, lipstick, and a couple of credit cards.

Tiered dresses have been trending for a couple of years. Some of them are loose and baggy, but this Ruffle Mini Dress has a smocked waist that gives it definition. The material is flowy and feels wonderful against the skin. I’m wearing a medium in Berry, but that color is almost sold out. However, the dress is still available in black which is always a good choice.

Ballet flats are also trending this year. I don’t normally wear flats with dresses, but I’m trying to embrace flats and loafers this year. I like the pattern on these Quilted Ballet Flats, and they would look great with jeans and dress pants too. They are comfortable and run true to size.

You’ve probably heard of wearing leather and lace together. This is an unusual combination of materials, but they pair together nicely. I decided to try the same concept by adding a Faux Leather Moto Jacket to the tiered dress. I don’t hate the look, but I would want to switch out the ballet flats for a pair of cute boots like the Chelsea boots below.

Leather jackets can run hundreds of dollars, but you can get the look for under $50. This one feels buttery soft, and all the zippers and hardware are heavy and sturdy. A moto jacket gives off a youthful vibe, and who doesn’t want to look more youthful???

I told you that I rarely wear flats with dresses, so I thought you might want to see a pair of dress shoes with the dress too.

These Velvet Platform Sandals look gorgeous, but because of the platform base, they are very high off the ground. If you aren’t used to wearing high heels, this wouldn’t be the pair to start with. However, if you are an expert at wearing high heels, this pair sure makes a statement!

Walmart makes shopping very convenient for its customers, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes. You can also sign up for Walmart+, where you get Free Shipping with no order minimums (excludes most Marketplace items, location & freight surcharges) and Free Delivery (where available) with orders over $35. I take advantage of home delivery several times weekly and love that small convenience.

Walmart sponsors this post, and I will receive compensation, but the opinions expressed are my own.

Do the satin pants stick to your bum at all? I love the look of them but am always afraid they’ll show off every dimple.
