I have finally drawn a line in the sand. It takes me a while but it finally came to me that if I want to ever retire then I am the one who is going to have to make that happen. No one is going to voluntarily tell me that they want to learn my job and take over my responsibilities. Are you as shocked as I was to find that out? So, today I started Operation Cutback. My plan is to implement this plan and work my way up to Operation Retire. Lol!Joe was a little surprised when I announced that I am going to be taking off every Friday and every other Monday. I believe he said something like, “don’t you think that we should talk this over first?” I thought that was what we were doing. Lol! Anyway, I told him that I was going to work longer hours on the days that I was there but I didn’t see any reason that I “had” to be there every single day. I am not sure that he is thrilled with Operation Cutback but I bet it will grow on him. He just hasn’t thought of all of the perks of me not working on Fridays and the fact that we can have long weekends to go somewhere. Crap, he is going to want to fly, isn’t he???This is the last outfit in my week of red. You know that red is the color of love and passion and that is why I wore it for the week of Valentine’s Day. However, it is also the color of anger, danger, and stress. And if you notice, you will see a lot of men wear red ties because it is a color of power. There are people who put a lot of thought and research into the meaning of colors. I just go into my closet and pick out something that catches my eye. Haha! This red jacket is one that I bought over a year ago from Cato Fashions. It isn’t lined which I am not a fan of and the first time that I wore the jacket it bled on my shirt. That is a great example of you get what you pay for. ?
I have a mixture of Plunder jewelry on today. The earrings are from a Plunder Posse set a couple months ago. They are long silver discs that are about 3″ long. I thought the discs matched the iridescent embellishments on my top. The long silver necklace does not come with a pendant but instead comes with a lobster claw. You can attach your own pendant or use this as a lanyard. The Leslie bracelet is adjustable to 9.5″ and has the word Blessed on the face. The red crystal magnetic bling bracelet was a special and it is no longer available. Speaking of specials, be sure to check that tab often at this time, they are adding specials almost daily right now and they sell out really fast. Go to www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens to place an order. The faded black jeans with the light gray patch on the knees were from Old Navy. Honestly, this has not been my favorite pair of jeans. I only bought them because I saw them on the mannequin and I thought they were cute. The trouble is…….I am not a mannequin. Lol! I like the faded color, it is the patch that I am not fond of.
I bought this embellished faded gray t-shirt when my last grandchild was born. That was this past August, see here, and I bought this in the gift shop of the hospital. You can’t keep a girl from shopping. Lol! It is really comfortable and as you can see, you can dress up a t-shirt with a jacket or blazer.
The gladiator style sandals are from Sole Society and they are over a year old. I am not a big shoe fan (gasp) and I honestly don’t own that many shoes. I NEED to go shoe shopping but I tend to buy the same style shoe over and over again. I am going to make myself go shopping tomorrow online. What do you think about these?
It was cold and rainy today when I left work to go to the bank and the post office. By the time I ran to the car I was chilly so I drove next door and went through the drive-through to get something warm to drink. I decided on a medium caramel cappuccino and then I drove up to pay. It cost me 3.04 and as I sat there sipping on it at the bank it struck me that for the same amount of money per day I could buy my skincare regimen which is FOUR products. The biggest difference is that the cappuccino will show up on my hips, thighs, or belly but my skincare regimen will help the appearance of my skin. And just for the record, this was NOT Starbucks, we do not have one of those stores within 2 hours of me. Lol! If you want to try the #1 Skincare in the US, and that is across all price points not just the high-end products in department stores, then skip the cappuccino and give me a call. Your skin and your hips will thank you later. Go to www.tstephens.myrandf.com to check out the products.

Love the red mules and the striped mules, but they will match less clothing. Gold ones are a maybe. The others are a definite no for me. I think your shoe wardrobe needs more neutrals. Think a nude pump, espadrilles for spring/summer, black flat, and a solid metallic colored flat. And sandals! Love your outfit today. Red is your color! Have a great weekend and I think your retirement plan is a winner.
That sounds like a wonderful idea. If you cut back a little you will have more blogging time and build that business. I wish I could cut back to 3-12’s or 4-10’s. I don’t like with the darn mannequins make things look so good. It looks good on you.
Monday will be my first day off since I don’t have to do payroll this Monday. I already made sure that I have everything already done that I needed to do for Monday so I can stay at home and play/work. Lol!
I love this outfit! I’m gonna start shopping for a cute embellished t-shirt to wear with my red jacket as soon as I finish this email. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great outfit! And, congratulations on setting your intentions toward retirement. I’m rooting for you!!
