Button Up Shirts That Can Be Worn For Everyday

Wrinkle-Free Stretch Cotton Bella Shirt (Size 12)

The Wrinkle-Free Stretch Cotton Bella Shirt is lightweight and fits great. The seaming at the chest gives the top a flattering silhouette, but if you’re looking for a heavier-weight shirt, this is not the one for you. However, for spring and summer, this top will be fabulous since it will be cool.

Knit long-sleeve button-up top (Large)

I’ve worn the Knit long-sleeve button-up top so many times since I bought it. I love the stretchy fabric that fits nicely and is soft against my skin. The long sleeves give me plenty of coverage, and I love that I can scrunch them up when I get hot.

Non-Iron Popover – Talbots

If you’re looking for an easy top that looks polished all day, this is it. The wrinkle-free fabric holds up from morning coffee to evening dinner, no dryer needed for touch-ups. The pullover style keeps things simple, and the short sleeves offer nice coverage without being bulky. The shirt collar gives it a bit of structure, making it great with trousers or under a cardigan. This is one of those wardrobe essentials that feels like a blend of comfort and polish.

Denim Short Shirt in Azure Sea Wash – Talbots

You know how I love my denim! The silhouette and chest pockets give it that casual vibe, and the short sleeves and curved hem keep it feeling light. It hits just above the hip, which makes it cute with high-waisted jeans or tucked into a skirt. The striated denim adds a little texture, and the button front lets you wear it closed or open over a great tank. It’s a great layering piece, too, if you’re heading out on a breezy day.

Flannel Modern Classic Shirt in Jingle Bell Plaid – Talbots

Plaid lovers, this one’s for you! We’re still getting chilly mornings, so a long-sleeved shirt is a must. This flannel shirt is soft, cozy, and just the right weight—not too heavy, not too thin. The curved hem and relaxed fit make it easy to wear tucked or untucked. I’d wear it open over a white tee or buttoned up with jeans for a cute weekend look. I’m loving the pink!

Old Navy Relaxed V-Neck Tee

This is a true basic that’s anything but boring! The relaxed fit gives it a nice drape without clinging, and the v-neckline is flattering on just about everyone. It comes in all sorts of bright colors, which makes it easy to add a little pop to your outfit. The short sleeves are roomy and comfy, and the soft fabric would feel good on your skin. I’d keep a few of these in my drawer just for everyday wear—and at this price, you can get a few without guilt! This is the one I’d throw in my luggage for vacation without a second thought.

Mariner Jersey Boatneck Muscle T-Shirt – J.Crew

Stripes never go out of style, Gurls! This boatneck shirt has that classic French vibe with a modern twist. The muscle tee cut gives your arms a little breathing room while still offering coverage. It would look so cute tucked into white pants or layered under a blazer. The soft jersey fabric adds comfort and a nice weight—no see-through worries here. You could wear this out to lunch with friends and feel pulled together with zero effort.

Cabana Top In Linen – J Crew

Did someone say POP of color? I love this linen top in vibrant red. It’s a trending color, plus it is one of those colors that make you feel powerful and put together. It will look amazing with jeans or a pair of white pants, or a cute skirt like the model is rocking. It’s 100% linen, so great as the temperature rises. If you’re a fan of the shirt, but not the color, no worries. Lots of others at the link.

Classic Collared Button-Up Shirt – Amazon

Now this shirt means business—but make it cute! The spread collar and curved hem create a beautiful silhouette, whether you tuck it in or wear it loose. It’s perfect with slacks for church or with jeans for brunch. The button-up style gives you flexibility, and it comes in so many colors, you’ll want more than one. I love how you can wear it under a sweater or blazer for those chillier days. It’s a year-round piece that belongs in every closet.

Dokotoo V-Neck Boho Blouse – Amazon

Boho vibes done right! This flowy blouse is lightweight and soft, with long sleeves and elastic cuffs that add just the right amount of style. The relaxed fit and v-neckline make it comfy without looking sloppy. I could totally see Ashleigh wearing this with skinny jeans and boots—it’s cute but also grown-up. The fun prints make this a standout top, especially if you’re looking to spice up your everyday wardrobe. And yes, it comes in a bunch of colors too!

Ribbed Knit Short Sleeve Top – Amazon

Let me tell you, this top is sneaky good. The ribbed knit texture gives it just enough detail to make it feel dressy without trying too hard. The short sleeves, relaxed fit, and v-neckline keep it breezy and flattering. The elastic hem gives it a slight shape, which makes it perfect for wearing with high-waisted jeans or even joggers. This one is an everyday winner. Available in several other great colors.

Alright, Gurls—that’s my roundup of The Best Everyday Shirts for Women Over 50! Whether you love a crisp button-up, a cozy flannel, or a relaxed tee that you can live in, these picks have you covered. Each one works with pants, skirts, or jeans, and layers easily under cardigans, blazers, or sweaters. The comfort, neckline styles, and high-quality fabrics make them perfect for daily wear—and they’ll hold up through laundry day without becoming a rag. Let me know which ones you add to your closet, and as always, stay comfy and cute!

  24. I am still loving the lady jackets. blazers, and long sleeve lite weight tops and sweaters. I’m doing a lot of transitional pieces, so if I’m cold I wear the jacket but if it gets hot in the afternoon I can take the jacket off. I’m also enjoying the jewerly to go with the outfit especially earrings
