Another Saturday has rolled around and I have nothing planned to do. It looks like I will be forced to keep cleaning on the room that I want to put a studio in. I got rid of a LOT of items this past week so the room is looking better, but dang, I’ve still got a ton of things out there. Here is the funny thing though, half of the stuff isn’t even mine, it is the kids. Lol!
Winter just can’t seem to make up its mind. I have heard winter described as “Old Man Winter” but I am beginning to think that the description is wrong. I believe instead that winter must be a woman and we all know how women are. At least some of us are known for having a hard time making up our minds. Winter can’t decide if it is staying or going here in Virginia. There were several days of temperatures in the 70’s and all day on Wednesday I watched snow flurries flying around outside my window at work. Crazy!!!
Have you ever thought that you need a clone of yourself? I know in the cartoons and sci-fi movies that it never works out and there are usually problems but I sure would like to have two of me on some days. Some of the time it is not because I have so much work to do that I need two of me, instead, it is that I want to do two things at once that is fun. Lol! This is happening to me tonight.
I can’t wait for Spring!!! It is time to spring forward next Sunday and I can hardly wait. I am ready to herald its coming by styling white this week. I couldn’t wait to showcase this gorgeous top that I received about 3 weeks ago from Purple Poppy. I have been dying to wear this top ever since I opened it but the weather has not been very cooperative. I took advantage of a nice warm spell to wear it and I loved every minute of it.
Do you ever feel like you have just got to recharge your batteries? You would think that after I spent last weekend in Georgia and went to the spa for a nice massage that my batteries would be nice and full. Evidently, that is not the case because I came home from work last night and fell asleep until 7:15 pm. I woke up almost in a panic that I didn’t go to the store and we had nothing to eat in the house, PLUS, I didn’t have anything written for the blog. It didn’t take long for my inner “Scarlett” to take over and before I knew it I was saying, “I’ll worry about going to the store tomorrow. We can scrounge tonight.” Lol!!! Poor, Joe.
After the stressful week at work, I am sure glad to see Friday roll around. Normally, I don’t pay much attention to what the day is but this week has really been a killer. I am not sure if you remember me telling you about my internet being out for about 2 weeks and I had to work by a hotspot of my phone. I am just thankful that I knew how to turn on a hotspot so that I could work. Anyway, we finally got that fixed even though it took two different technicians coming out to the house and replacing my modem and router. Here’s the thing, once all that got fixed my printer wouldn’t work.
Everyone needs to get away every now and then. My trip to Lake Oconee has provided some much need rest and relaxation. While relaxing was high on the agenda going out to eat for a nice dinner was even higher on the agenda. I knew we had dinner reservations on Saturday night and I was stressing over what to pack. I wanted to wear something that I hadn’t worn before and since I am traveling with a younger crowd I wanted to look really nice.
Today I got a new vacuum cleaner. That does not thrill me like it would some people. My Energizer Bunny Friend has a vacuum problem. She LOVES to vacuum, it is her therapy. I kid you not! She vacuums her house at least once a day and when she goes to visit friends they will “let” her vacuum their house to make her happy. 😳 Let’s just say that we are NOTHING alike in that regard. Lol! I do not like to vacuum my house much less anyone else’s house. Lol! But, I had to break down on Saturday and vacuum my house and the vacuum cleaner that we had was disgusting, stinky, and old.
I will be on the road again on Thursday. Does it seem like I am always going somewhere? I didn’t use to ever travel except for the occasional woman’s club meeting and to Tennesse for holidays and birthdays. Now, it seems like every time I turn around I am packing to go somewhere. This time it is a Spa trip to Lake Oconee in Georgia with 6 other Rodan + Fields ladies. I will be the oldest one there by probably 20 years. Whew! When you travel in the circles that I travel in (a younger crowd) you have to be confident and realistic. They keep me young and on my toes.
I am the kind of grandparent that will let their grandbabies do just about anything they want as long as they won’t get hurt doing it. So, Sunday night when Emersyn wanted to come over and play she gets to choose what we do. First on the agenda was a banana popsicle that she was thrilled I remembered to pick up at the store. Next was our coloring project which will take us months to finish because it is so complicated. Then she moved on to playing a version of Angry Birds on my phone which “she” downloaded herself. Lol! Then things got funny.
