50 IS NOT OLD | ALL T-SHIRTS ARE NOT THE SAMELet me tell you there is a ton of fun going on here in the Stephens household. Joe came home from playing golf and then promptly got bored. He gave me several options on things we could do which included going flying and going motorcycle riding. I threw out several ideas but he didn’t think that watching the sunset or walking along the river holding hands was what he had in mind. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | ALL T-SHIRTS ARE NOT THE SAMEAnyway, the motorcycle ride was the choice I could live with. We just rode around town for a few minutes and then headed back to the house. Evidently, the ride was not as exciting as he thought it would be. After we came back we got in the truck and headed up to the airport, not to take a plane ride, but to look for Elk. An Elk herd was established here in our county and it has grown quite large. Joe had seen several out the night before so we went to see if they were out feeding again. However, no such luck last night. He said we would go up every night and see if we could watch them. Until then, you can go here are read about our restoration program.  50 IS NOT OLD | ALL T-SHIRTS ARE NOT THE SAME All t-shirts are not created equal. I have some that are almost see-through thin and then I have some like this one that is very substantial. There is a place for both types in your wardrobe though, just depending on what you are going to do with them. This one is a Luxe t-shirt from Banana Republic that I bought a couple of years ago when I went to Florida.

50 IS NOT OLD | ALL T-SHIRTS ARE NOT THE SAME You might recognize this picture from yesterday’s post. And some of you with eagle eyes even guess what store the jewelry was from. Lol! This is more items that sweet Annie sent to me (see here) as a surprise. She must know me well because this Luna Tassel necklace and the matching Luna Tassel earrings are PERFECT for me. I may have to see if I can help her get a job with StitchFix, she is obviously very good at picking out items that people will love. I mixed the jewelry with some of my Plunder jewelry. The Shanna necklace is perfect for those who like dainty jewelry and it fits perfectly in almost any neckline. And the bracelet that I thought I would never wear is once again on my wrist. Lol! The Fiona bracelet is fun and colorful, isn’t that what I am trying to be too???
50 IS NOT OLD | ALL T-SHIRTS ARE NOT THE SAME I figured since I was in a Leopard state of mind that I might as well continue the theme. I have had these Leopard print flats for a long time and I love wearing them. They are stylish AND comfortable and that is not always an easy combination to find. These are by Isaac Mizrahi and I bought them at the overstock store in town.

50 IS NOT OLD | ALL T-SHIRTS ARE NOT THE SAMEYou are going to be seeing me start to wear a lot more jeans and pants soon. I am drawn to the beige and khaki colored pants in the fall. I think the reason is that they go so well with all the fall colors like this deep dark teal. This is a pair of Pixie pants from Old Navy, I don’t know what I will wear if they ever quit making them. Lol! I like this style because they will work great when I start to wear my knee-high boots.

50 IS NOT OLD | ALL T-SHIRTS ARE NOT THE SAMEDo you remember the commercials about the Settlers? It was about a family who wouldn’t get Direct TV and instead settled for cable. It got me thinking, are you settling when it comes to your skincare, your job, the amount of income that you bring in? There is no reason to settle. When it comes to my face, the one thing that I can’t hide, I don’t want to settle for second rate products. You know that I am frugal with my clothing purchases, but I won’t skrimp on my skin. I can’t replace it next season, this has to last me for the rest of my life. I also am not settling when it comes to my income. If you aren’t happy with the amount of money coming in or if you feel like you can’t get ahead, you can join Rodan + Fields for as low as $45.00. I have 10 mini-facials available to the next 10 people who let me know that they would like to try the #1 skincare brand in the US. Go to tstephens5.myrandf.com to check out the products and if you are interested in the business just email me at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com and we will hop on the phone to see if it is a good fit for you.

  1. I like everything except the skin tone pants,..at a quick glance they looked too much like a pair of thick pantyhose, or maybe they need a longer top or cardigan. Otherwise the outfit works

  2. Tania, I would like a mini-facial, please! Thank you!

    1. I’ll email you, Terry.

Wow, again gurl, you are SO blessed to have a fun husband that wants to take you motorcycle riding, flying and to look for elk! That sounds like my idea of a perfect evening!! I can’t wait to read about the elk population! We used to have many elk who came into town in the fall when I lived in Silver City, NM. Cute jewelry for sure!

  4. Hi Tania,
I have to tell you, I have been following you for almost a year. So many times I’ve wanted to leave replies, but didn’t. I love hearing all about your daily adventures, your stories about your grandchildren, and I really like some of your outfits and jewelry. You are so blessed! I am 58, a grandmother of an 18month old beautiful grandaughter and I too, have a son and daughter. I am recently widowed, and am trying to carry on my life without my husband, but think what he’s missing with this precious little grandchild. I so look forward to your blogs first thing every morning, because it really starts my day and I can relate to so much of your life! You are wonderful!!!

    1. Celeste, I can’t imagine what you are going through. I am happy to hear that you have children and grandchildren though that can keep you busy. Immerse yourself in friends and activities. It will get easier, not better, but easier.

  5. My husband is a huge fan of the t-shirts from Banana Republic—he absolutely loves them!! I had to laugh when you said that!!
