SWEATSHIRT WITH UNIQUE DETAILS

I made it to Georgia all in one piece. It took me six hours to make the trip and I spent most of the time making phone calls so that I felt like I got something accomplished on my drive. I got to my sister’s house just as her husband came in and started telling us about his afternoon. He is a professional photographer and he had been hired to take pictures by a home builder of a new model home that they had just built. The house was the only one in the subdivision and he was busy taking pictures. There is a “sweet spot” for photographers at twilight so he was trying to get the shots before the sun went down. About that time a police officer drove up and wanted to know what he was doing. He explained that he had been hired to take pictures and that he only had a few minutes to get the shot. So, he kept shooting. The police officer, however, wanted ID and then they wanted to call the builder to verify all the information. By the time he was finally satisfied that all he was doing was taking pictures the sun was starting to set. Let’s just say that my BIL was not a happy camper. Lol!This is my favorite purchase out of my very first Trunk Club. Trunk Club is similar to Stitch Fix but it is a Nordstrom company. I wasn’t entirely satisfied with my Stitch Fix experience so I decided to try Trunk Club instead. I kept two items from my first Trunk and there were a couple other things that I would have kept but they were a little too big. The Halogen navy top is a nice heavyweight sweatshirt but it has some unique details that take it up a notch or two. The shirring down the sleeves and the navy and white pinstripe cuffs with a bow are really too cute.

This Justine necklace is a new purchase for me. My mom saw it when she came to visit and loved it. She has already placed her order for the necklace. I am not surprised because this has the vintage feel of milk glass. The beads are faceted and really glistens when you move. The striped material is actually black and white but you can’t tell that it doesn’t match the navy. Here is a great look at the Ambrosia bracelet. I love wearing orange with navy, I think it makes both colors “pop.” The orange stone is surrounded by a starburst of rhinestones and then the glass beads and the black and white stripe meet up in the back with a toggle closure. My 365 Signature Classic Coated Dagne Dover tote is such a great neutral. I love this tote because it can double as a briefcase. It has a padded side that most 13″ laptops can fit in and it has plenty of pockets for cell phones and pens. This was a gift that was sent to me from Rodan + Fields, so that makes it even more special to me. I wanted a lighter pair of jeans so that the navy would stand out. This pair of distressed jeans from Old Navy is the only light pair that I could find. I really would have preferred to have not had any distressing on the jeans. I can see that the next pair of jeans that I buy needs to be a lighter pair.

I woke up last night at 3:30 and couldn’t go back to sleep. I finally just gave up and decided to get up and play on the computer until I got sleepy again. Around 5:30 I finally went back to bed and slept for a couple of hours. I laughed and told Joe that at least I had my Active Hydration Bright Eye Complex to help me out. Lol! Winnwood Retirement Community is an upscale Independent and Assisted Living facility off the square in Marietta. They host us each year and it is a BEAUTIFUL place to see the show. They have a ton of events for their residents each month but this one is also free and open to the public. I’d love to see you Gurls there!
