SUNSHINE ON A CLOUDY DAY
When I get home from working at the lumber company I am usually dragging my tail. It was really bad yesterday when I got home so I heated up a cup of coffee that was still in the coffee pot from this morning. I am not really sure why I even bothered because normally coffee doesn’t really wake me up anyway. I finally got woke up enough to start on the blog and then when Joe came in he got to telling stories, etc. and that woke me up. I didn’t think anything else about the coffee until I went to go to sleep. Bad move, very bad move. Lol!
I think Joe must have fallen asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow but my eyes popped open and refused to shut. I kept wondering why was I having a hard time going to sleep since I didn’t have anything bothering me or on my mind. Then I remembered the coffee! I tossed and turned and decided never again to drink coffee when I come home from work. Then, I came home today and I am so sleepy that I can hardly keep my eyes open. Lol! I know it is because I didn’t sleep well last night and if I can just tough it out then I will be fine. Someone just needs to tell my eyes that because they are not paying me any attention. Wake me up in about 15 minutes. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Don’t let these bright eyes fool you, they are seriously tired. Lol! I am sure that a huge part of you are already saying that you can’t wear orange. It isn’t one of my favorite colors either but I like to have a few pieces of clothing in almost every color. The orange was not something that I had planned on wearing today and in fact, it was an afterthought. I grabbed this BRIGHT orange cardigan just to keep me warm and I wanted to keep in the “theme” of my color palette today. I do like the style of this cardigan which has a deep V neckline and 3/4 sleeves. This style is probably my favorite and the one I will choose if I have a choice. This is an older cardigan that I bought at Old Navy several years ago. I love finding their cardigans on sale and then buying several different colors.
The entire outfit was all planned around this Paisley scarf. I saw this the other day when I was shopping at Cato Fashions and grabbed it in the white color. It also came in Navy but I decided that I wanted the bright white just to herald in Spring. You just have to think about spring when you see this outfit. Some of you may think Spring but still be dressing for winter. It is coming, I promise!!! I knew a groundhog wasn’t a good predictor of the weather. Lol!
I am wearing the dark blue Diana jeans from Kut from the Kloth. I know that I wear this pair a lot but they fit so good and are so comfortable. I probably should try another style from them to see if I like that one just as well so I’ll have to think about that. The darker the jean the dressier it appears. So, if you wear the lighter colored jeans it will look more casual and the darker jean will appear dressier even if you wear the same top. Huh! I may have to try that one day and put it on the blog to see if you gurls agree with that statement.
With this outfit on you will be singing, “I got sunshine, on a rainy day. When it’s cold outside I’ve got the month of May.” You’re welcome for now having “My Girl” stuck in your head. Lol!
I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.

Why is it I am always so tired when it’s time to get up and wide awake when it’s time to go to bed at night! As with a lot of other things that seem out of whack with me lately, I’m blaming it on hormones and menopause! ARGH! My body is wondering what’s going on and my brain is mush! You look so pretty and bright!! I just love how you can put together so many pretty outfits day after day! I’m in such a rut! I stand and stare into my closet and can’t put together anything with what’s in there lately and if I don’t lose some of these pounds that have snuck up on me, I’ll have to wear sweats or yoga pants everyday! Everything is just too tight! Anyone else feel just so blah right now?! maybe when Spring temps finally stick around I’ll get with it!! Happy Spring Tania, I don’t comment much lately but I’m still following!!
I am not sure how long you have had this blog, but it seems to me that about a year ago, or so, I found your blog. I did not follow it up until now. Love your style. You are so inspiring.
Sherrie, I started the blog in September of 2015!
Oh I am heading to Cato Fashions this weekend. I cannot wait to see if that scarf is available.
Love the scarf! And that song and The Temptations!
Orange is not usually a go-to for me either. However, I have things in that color family that are orange-ish and I love them! And this song! Believe it or not, I took baton twirling, along with dance, as a child and this was one of my twirling recital songs! Such a Texas thing…or maybe Southern. LOL
Orange is one of my favorite colors. Love the blue and orange together. Have a good day!
Tania, love your outfit, the cut, colors, proportions, …all come together to look great on you! Well done!
Love this outfit! The scarf just pulls it all together perfectly. I think you can wear any color.
I like this color combo too. Orange is a favorite of mine. And the scarf just makes it all come together and it’s such a simple idea. Thanks. I like scarves but always wonder if I’ll really wear them. Gonna have to try a few more to use in this way. Orange looks good on you. I have those days too when about 3-4 pm I’m just beat. A quick snack can help. Have nice day, Tania.
A really pretty outfit!
